The tasting room is spacious and comfortable, with tables and couches perfect for relaxing with friends. There's also a charming gift shop, along with a selection of cheeses and snacks available for purchase. Cons:I tried the five-red tasting for $12, but none of the wines were especially memorable. The pours were inconsistent, with some wines served as one sip, some two, and others three. The cheeses for purchase are pricey, with 4 oz costing $13. The most significant issue was the wine glasses--each sip had a strong odor reminiscent of dirty sponge water, indicating that their glass-cleaning process needs major improvement. Overall: A charming vineyard with rich history and a comfortable tasting space, but the wines didn't impress and snacks are pricey. Great for the atmosphere, less so for the tasting. Based on this experience, I rate this establishment a 2.5 out of 5.

The vinard is onsite and I believe they help other local wineries in the area to make wine. The employees were great, so friendly and knowledgeable. There was live music. They have some food on site and they have food trucks. The oyster food truck was wonderful. Can't wait to return.

I do with there were a better offering of snacks/food available inside. But, there has always been a food truck available with hot food offerings. As for activities I have been there once for an even Rusted Rabbit has hosted. While there I was able to sample/purchase some wine to try. The event was nice and very well thought out. We were located upstairs which has a balcony that over looks the back of the property. My friends have raved about their wines and even sangria. There has been people there singing and a band once. So it was nice to have some entertainment. I enjoyed sitting outside on the porch. We even sat down below the exterior where it was quieter. The staff have always been accommodating, knowledgeable on their product and kind. The grounds has always been well put together and clean. There is defintly attention to detail throughout the property.

All of their wines are great, and we were able to bring in our own food spread, which makes the wine even better! Added bonus, there was live music to brighten up the dreary day. I believe the tent comes with one of the charcuterie boards - Le Grand Cru Platter. I honestly thought it was alright, not the best sprays I've had and the bread was hard. I'd give it a 7/10. The winery cakes were PHENOMENAL!!!!!! I was IN LOVE. They apparently soak it for many hours in their wine. I highly recommend it! Both the strawberry and vanilla one was great, but I really enjoyed the strawberry cake. Apparently you have to order 3 days in advance. The tent was actually pretty warm if you kept it zipped up. There were two heaters in the tent. I think we got the tent for 12 people, but it comfortably fit 10 people. Overall I highly recommend this winery, I would TOTALLY come back !

A good time for wine pros and novices alike, and family friendly! Great selection of wines available for tasting, or drinking by the glass or bottle at the winery, light snacks for purchase, lawn games, live music... my family and I love supporting this female, Veteran owned local small business!!

(3 out of 5 stars)…read more We had actually tried to visit Xella Winery once before, but the parking was so limited (including handicap parking) that we ended up leaving and going elsewhere. Months later, the winery popped up on social media again, so we decided to try our luck. The owner was incredibly friendly, helpful, and welcoming. Just an overall really nice guy. The wines were good, which (as a regular winery visitor) is critical because I've been to plenty of wineries that have a fun atmosphere but underwhelming wine. That wasn't the case here. The wine slushies were the real champs, though. They were absolutely delicious and we had both of their offerings. For me, one of the major pluses is that the winery is pet friendly, which we appreciated since we brought our puppy. Unfortunately, he kept finding small plastic caps on the grass that looked like light bulb covers, which meant we had to constantly keep an eye on what he was trying to pick up. That was not so appreciated. The atmosphere simply wasn't quite for me. The space is relatively small (which is fine, I generally enjoy that type of environment) but it became fairly loud during our visit. It's also very family friendly, which I know many people will enjoy, but personally I prefer a quieter winery experience rather than sipping wine with children running around nearby. There were also some practical frustrations. The outdoor tables have umbrellas, but the wind continuously yanked ours up out of the table and nearly knocking things over. I eventually found myself crawling under the table trying to adjust it, which wasn't exactly how I planned to spend part of a wine tasting. There are certainly things to like here: friendly ownership, good wines, excellent slushies, and a welcoming environment. However, the parking limitations, noise level, loose umbrellas, and concerns about debris on the ground make it unlikely that I'll return. However, families looking for a casual and family friendly winery experience may enjoy it much more than I did. For those I would say it's well worth the visit!
