I found this dental group when I was looking for someone who took my insurance . It is a bit of a distance from where I live but I gave it a try. The office is clean , the staff great and the doctors I have seen I liked very much. I only had one concern, that was it took me a few weeks to get in . I I got a quick appt.I chipped bottom of my tooth near gum line. They were taking new patients and my insurance. They said for this appt it would be an ex ray and exam no guarantee they could fix the problem that day. It was not long wait about 10 min. The dentist came in didn't tell me his name so I asked are you add Loewy, he said yes. I prefer. Dentist or Dr to introduce Himself. He didn't tell me what the ex ray showed, he didn't tell me ok I will do this procedure or fix this or what I can do he just took out his drill and filed down the rough broken edge. I am starting by saying that I'm only giving 4 out of 5 stars because there is always room for improvement. With that said I was really impressed from the minute I walked in. The lady at the front desk had her mask on and when I was given an iPad to answer a questionnaire re: COVID it was cleaned properly. When I was called to the back my temperature was taken. No, just no.... everyone except the dental asst. Were pretentious assholes. Im pregnant with horrible anxiety and had impacted wisdom teeth. I started freaking out and the surgeon rolled his eyes. Also the clinic takes fidelis but the asshole didnt. Sooooo there went 1200$ on an issue they made soooooo desperate. I could've gone to someone else for free that wasn't a dick. Also they didn't prescribe pain killers because of the pregnancy. Although my obgyn made it clear that it was ok. Sent me home in excruciating pain. I should sue honestly. The doctors do poor work. They think cause they spent all their money on "technology" which they can barely use that they need to push it to pay for it. The owners told me they still don't know how to use this equipment. They're fake and they know it. There staff are leaving every chance they get. Don't go. That being said they told me I needed a crown and when they came back to make the appointment they had me down for 2 crowns. They push work down your throat if you have good insurance. I went to Monroe Dental Group for the first time. I was 24 minutes late and apologetic; but the staff were very kind, understanding, and accommodating anyway. I went in for a general cleaning but was only able to get the x-rays done since I was late. The dental hygienist was very friendly and explained the procedures to me. The dentist was polite and cordial. I go back next week to get the cleaning. Am glad I found the place :) read more

He said he couldnt do the procedure and waited to get in 6 months to get an appoinment. He said he would call me back to know if he could do the procedure. Would never recommend!!! read more

Have you ever had a toothache so bad it makes your heart clench? A toothache that keeps you up at night and never leaves? I experienced that recently. The cause for my excruciating pain was not a cavity, but a tooth filling done wrong by Dr Katz at Monroe Medical Group. He made the filling a millimeter away from the nerve. It started to swell and infected the entire area. In the first few days after the filling was done, I thought it's still the "after pain " of his work, but when it got worse every day the pain was so bad I felt I was gonna day. I run a business and a family and it took all I got to keep it all running despite all the pain. I finally got an appointment at a different dentist who exploit me what happened. They couldn't even fix the damage because of infection and swelling, but they gave me antibiotics and pain killers that made me feel better right away. I have tried this dentist on several occasions for myself, my husband and 3 children. It never goes smoothly or without aggravation. The first time I needed to have work done which had to be approved by my insurance company. I was told they would call me as soon as it was approved. I waited 3 months with no phone call. Since I was going to lose my insurance the end of the year, I called to inquire. I was told, sorry we don't take your insurance anymore! Had I know that, I could have gone to a different dentist, but instead had to pay out of pocket for this service since it was too late to go through the approval with another dentist. Since I no longer have insurance I ask for the price before I have the work done. Price is never the same as what they quote and they always have some excuse why. During my exam I asked them to take a look at two teeth that have been having pain. They told me they could not see anything wrong on the xrays. When I went for the filling on the other tooth, I asked the dentist to look at them again since I was still having pain. She said "sorry, we just don't have time to figure that out for you, it could be anything, from a cracked tooth, to a cavity!" Sorry, but isn't that your job and what I am paying you for? But I guess having no insurance isn't profitable to them so they just want to get you in and out as fast as possible and who cares about your teeth. The front office staff is horrible. If you leave a message, do not expect a call back ever. You can call during normal business hours, get the answering machine and never receive a return phone call. When you complain, they will claim they called you, but since I can see who has called me on my cell phone and called them out on it, they then claimed they called my house number, which of course, they did not. I had my son go in for an exam. He needed a filling and the same girl made his appointment for the next day. When we arrived I was told "sorry, you must have made a mistake when you made the appointment and asked for an exam appointment not an appointment for a filling". Seriously? No bedside manner, so to speak, at least as regards Dr. Faber. If your teeth fall out 14 months following his installation of crowns on these teeth, he wants to make sure I know the blame lies with me because I didn't do everything he suggested at the time when I had insurance and is angry with me because I'm not docile as a lamb; 14 months ago I had reservations and questions: I was wary that my teeth, the ones getting crowns, would be in a weakened state because they would need to be shaved down so that the crowns would fit. At that time he did not like that I had objections, so the day before Thanksgiving when I saw him last, he comes out with his dukes up and more or less says I brought this on myself with virtually no transition from asking me about my job to this reprimand. He assumed that I wasn't take care of them and insults me with I got to do better with my hygiene (By the way, he didn't say, "Oral hygiene" but just "Hygiene"). I brush and I floss but I also consume many packets worth of an herbal powder every day that takes a tremendous toll on my teeth. Dr. Faber wasn't open- eared with sympathy, however, and didn't make inquiries but rather made indictments, pronouncements like "It's all about hygiene," i.e. you need to do better with your hygiene, emphasizing the word in case I'm slow of understanding and didn't figure that out myself. One of the reasons for this review is I didn't feel heard by Dr. Faber. He exists for us, we don't exist for him. ... I asked the dentist (telling him that I know he's not a miracle worker) if he could pop these teeth in so I could enjoy Thanksgiving; he attached them within the gap they had lately vacated and flew out of the room without saying goodbye and my exam/ consultation/ roast came to an abrupt end. Two of the three teeth with crowns fell out in the car before I got home. My fear of 14 months ago has come upon me, but the dentist wants to make clear from the get-go, it's all me, that is, it's my fault. read more
