Very hard to navigate. Google maps says they come at this time but we had to wait 10 min longer. None of the buses came at that time 8:36am. Also we weren't late either. We came at 8:29am. Google maps says Bay 25 but the driver was picking people up in Bay 19. I'm glad caught the bus or else Bay 25 is the other side of the bus stop and maybe it wouldn't even stop. Going to downtown, we had a helpful individual that said any one of these buses on the upper lots can get you there. There are stations on the bottom of the train stations so be on a look out of where your ride is located. Either upper or lower deck.

You call and you schedule in advance and sometimes you get a pick up sometimes they are booked! But if you call dispatch the same day you might get lucky with someone else cancelling their ride. So getting a pickup or return is about 50/50 It's a buck a ride if your not a senior. The vehicles are ok...somewhat clean. They pick you up on time for the most part. The drivers are ok...we get picked up by several different drivers...some are really cool and others seem like the really don't like their jobs. Same when you call reservation or dispatch...not very friendly or eager to provide good customer service over the phone. Overall...it's your last option for a ride..your better off calling Uber or walking.

The bus I take in the morning is definitely more reliable than the afternoon buses. The afternoon buses continue to be late or not show up. Today's bus line skipped a time, so a huge crowd had gathered. Instead of splitting us into two groups, we all had to cram into one and I'm pretty sure some people weren't allowed on since we were full. If the first bus had come, this wouldn't have happened. They should have more buses running at closer intervals, depending on how busy the routes are. Obviously the ones going to the schools need a lot. On another note, I've noticed that only some buses announce the next stop coming up. It would be nice if all of them did that.

Grand Opening, March 5, 2016: Free Rides to the public on the Gold Line…read more My husband and I decided to check out the grand opening ceremony for the Gold Line and ride for free... but apparently others had the same idea because it was really crowded, shoulder to shoulder on the train. With the new extension of the gold line (6 new stations have been added: Arcadia, Monrovia, Duarte, Irwindale, Azusa and by APU), it makes it that much easier to get to downtown LA. The Monrovia station has it's own parking structure (free) and is the largest of the new added stations. Train fare is as follows: $1 for reusable tap card (which you can load your bus and train fare on, tap card last about 5 years) $1.75 one way (per line) $7 all day pass (expires at 3 am the next day) Just to let you know right now that the Little Tokyo/ Art District is currently closed, but you can catch a bus from Union station to Little Tokyo and back if you plan on going out that way. The only negative thing I do want to mention about the Gold Line in general is their trains seem to be a little bit more narrow than the other lines, so when it is really full, it will most likely be standing room only during busy peak times. Hopefully with the new addition of all these stations, it will help to cut down the traffic (even a little would help) to and from DTLA. So glad it has finally opened and glad it is running smoothly on their grand opening day. My husband and I will definitely be traveling to DTLA more often! (future reviews to be added to Yelp)

It's always clean and never too crowded. A short few steps from where the train drops off is the old station, which is interesting to look at. It looks like they're restoring it for a new purpose. There's a little park right there on the corner for kids to play. And it looks like some business are going up alongside the station. From the station it's about a mile walk to downtown Monrovia which isn't too bad and convenient if you want to grab some dinner and drinks.

The answer was El Monte Metrolink station at 9:55 a.m. on Saturday. The Metrolink app is a life saver because you could purchase a ticket through the app and not have to budget time to purchase a ticket at the kiosk at the station and risk missing the train. The El Monte Station has LOTS of free parking and the track is right there with no bridge to cross to the other side of the track. I paid around $4 to get to L.A. Union Station from here and it was 2 stops away. I met some very cool people there that were also very helpful. If you're going to a dodger game and don't want to drive into L.A. this is a great station to park your car. Once you're at union station there's free shuttles to Dodger Stadium and it's honestly the way to go.

Scored tickets for Oasis last minute on a Sunday and for some reason my friend suggested we take…read morethe Gold Line to get to the Rose Bowl instead of driving there because it was already a risk that we would miss their set. We parked at the Azusa downtown station and I had to buy a tap card (I have one already but haven't used it in years) at the station. There's also a TAP app but I didn't want to risk my phone dying and then I couldn't turn it on to use the app to get on the train. Good thing I got the card because my phone did die and I didn't bring a battery pack with me because the Rose Bowl had strict rules on the size of the bag you could bring in. Once we exited at the right station, we passed two lights and were able to easily catch the shuttle to the Rose Bowl for the concert. I've been to the Rose Bowl numerous times and I'm never parking there, I'd rather take the Gold Line to save on the stress and hassle. Only downside is you may have to leave your event a little early to beat the crowd out but it's worth it.

The Los Angeles Philharmonic Assoc (LAPhil) operates the HB venue. I didn't know some events are sponsored by the LAPhil, others are rented out to outside agencies and have different methods to purchase concert and transportation tickets. I tried to get a transportation ticket for Arcadia Park, but it was not on the list. I called the Box Office and was told Arcadia and Rowland Heights are only available for LAPhil events. I am writing this review so others who live in the Eastern part of LA County will know Pasadena is the best option (when Arcadia or Rowland Heights is not available). The cost was $12.45 for a round-way ticket and includes the price of parking at the Pasadena structure. You must park on Level 3 or 4, walk down to Ramona Street and the HB bus will be waiting at the time designated on your ticket (4:30, 5:30 or 6PM). The bus was clean, it took about 45 minutes to arrive. The bus dropped us off in Lot B, and will take you back to Pasadena 20 minutes after the show ends. It was a good experience, the price was a good deal! NOTE: You can take a chance and buy a ticket the day of the event at the bus stop, but if it is full, you will have to drive all the way to the HB. Save yourself a headache and buy in advance! Now my sister tells me last time the bus stopped 3 times due to issues but made it to the Bowl. Well I still enjoyed the ride.
