I filed a claim in good faith from an issue that arose with my house. Instead of a timely, straightforward review, the claim was handed to their Special Investigations Unit and I received a Reservation of Rights letter listing a disputed date of loss and leaning on an unrelated pre-purchase inspection report to suggest the damage was "pre-existing." I'm a first time home owner and my understanding is if you see a big enough issue, file a claim which is exactly what I did. I have provided everything requested: documentation, records, cooperation at every step and I am still waiting on a decision. This is well beyond what should be a reasonable timeframe. This is not how a company should treat a paying customer during one of the most stressful moments of homeownership: an active property loss. If you're shopping for homeowners insurance, know that a clean claim history and full cooperation on your end does not guarantee a timely or fair process here. I would strongly encourage anyone considering this insurer to look elsewhere, and I'd encourage current policyholders in a dispute to involve an attorney or public adjuster early. Don't expect this company to move quickly or fairly on its own.

Victor is the sole reason I'm giving this company any stars in my review. I'm also a local business owner in the Taylorsville area. When I asked Victor if he could arrange a meeting with the owner to learn more about the business, he agreed. A week later, I received an email from Victor informing me that Lance, the owner, was too busy to meet with me. Determined to get to know the business, I decided to walk in and introduce myself. To my surprise, Lance agreed to meet with me and scheduled a time for me to come in and discuss it. When I arrived at the scheduled time, Lance came out and requested a rescheduling. I agreed, and a few days later, I attended the rescheduled appointment. However, Lance made me wait for 20 minutes before finally coming out and dismissing me, stating that I wasn't worth his time. He even invited another man into his office, who had just arrived, while he blew our scheduled appointment off.
