I had been to Monster Mini Golf twice. First time in Gaithersburg & 2nd time here at the Jessup location. It's a creative concept that it can be very cold, rainy, etc., and it's a viable mini golf option. In fact, the time I went was windy & pretty cold out. This was a work Halloween team building outing in early November 2023, where we dressed in costume and enjoyed mini golf paid for by our company, which was a nice treat (or was it a Trick? to get us to spend our Thursday night with work folks...haha...j/k). I actually did have fun. The staff was cordial and instructed us how we needed to score to take the individual's best score to save time, which I thought was a bit unnecessary. It was a little chaotic and kind of crowded. If you have say 4 people on a team, then people are awkwardly standing on ledges while other players are trying to putt, meanwhile you have other teams on other holes that directly butt up to the hole you're on. And remember, this was a private event. Imagine when it's open to the public, you might be dealing with a crowded scenario. As for the course itself, it's glow in the dark, which is kind of cool, but given the limited space constraints, the course is kind of subpar compared with almost any outdoor course in central Maryland. And the price is about the same as an outdoor course; I'd prefer an outdoor course and waiting until weather warms up to do that. They also have some Arcade games, which we got a $5 credit for each employee. That was fun. I played some air hockey & other random games. Overall, I appreciated what my company was doing, had some fun, but with the pros & cons of Monster Mini Golf, I feel a 3-star review is warranted. read more

This place was so awesome. Being from Los Angeles, I never expected such a cool place in Maryland. Boy was I wrong! Maryland is full of awesome gems like this place. Doing Kiss and Twilight Zone Mini Golf in Vegas, I still think this one is my favorite. I can definitely see why there are multiple locations, it's a wonderful business that brings fun to the entire family and would be a fabulous date. You never have to worry about the weather, you can wear whatever you want, the price is good, music amazing, and I love all the different color balls and the variety of fun at each post. 7.29.23 This venue has mini golf and arcade games. The round of golf went by quickly and at times it seemed to be backed up a little. It was so hot and stuffy inside and if the AC was lowered it would have been more comfortable. There are a few arcade games and a laser maze. Mini golf, laser tag, and arcade games can be purchased individually or as combos. They have a party room. There were two parties scheduled today so thankfully I called. The actual golf course is pretty fun, and our group of kids/young people (ages about 14-20) had fun. The workers were helpful and actually looked like they enjoy their jobs! Prices were (I think) pretty average for a fun afternoon. My only real complaint/suggestion is that there is really nowhere to sit if you're not playing. A few tables scattered through the arcade area or even on the path outside the course would have made a big difference. Some food and beverage options (even just pizza or hotdogs) would be nice too, but I'd settle for just the chairs! read more

Came here on a Saturday night around 8:30 PM so it wasn't particularly busy. Seemed like mainly high schoolers or college students with one or two families and their small kids, so maybe coming later at night might be better if you don't want to wait around or be there while it's packed! After paying, they give you your putters and you can choose your golf ball from about 5 different options. The white doesn't particularly glow in the dark but just glows under the blue light like our shoes in the picture. There was one group that started right before us, so we waited for them to start the second hole before we got ready to play. Since their group was bigger than ours (4 compared to our 2), we had to wait behind them every hole which was not a big deal, but I could tell there was a wait forming behind us for the rest of the course. The course itself is fairly easy, maybe one or two that were different because of the hole being raised on a ramp-type fixture. Some holes were more fun than others, while others were easier for the chance at a hole-in-one making it more exciting and competitive. It took us about 30-45 minutes to get through the whole thing but honestly probably could've taken less if there was no one ahead of us. I'm not sure if the AC was broken or just not put at a good temperature, but it was a little warm and the air started to feel a little thick towards the end of our time there. I was expecting it to be a little cooler considering the heat outside so I brought a sweatshirt but never put it on because it was warm even wearing shorts and a t-shirt. Also, it's not a said rule but it does get a little pressuring/frustrating when the group behind you starts to play before you get to start your next one. We were waiting for the group in front of us to finish a hole but didn't want them to rush, but the group behind us started playing their hole while we were still waiting so we had to stand fully off the course in order to not affect their playing area. It happened more than once, but we were almost done so we just ignored it. It's fun to come once, but I probably wouldn't come back unless they rearrange the course for a new playing experience. Awesome fun for the whole family. Now that the weather is getting colder I am always looking for some fun activities to do with my daughter. This Monster Mini Golf location is close to my home so it's super convenient. I came as soon as they opened at 2:00 pm on a Monday because there was a half day at school for my daughter. There was plenty of parking right in front of the building . No line at all so we were able to start right away. They also have several arcade games for your entertainment. The only draw back is that there is not food on location. You can take a short walk to get something to eat but there isn't anywhere to eat inside unless you reserve one of the party rooms. No food or drink is allowed on the mini golf course. Great time though and ver affordable. read more

Went in hesitant, indoor mini golf in middle of nowhere, warehouse district Laurel, had the potential to be underwhelming (sorry to say), but what a fantastic time! walking in we had an immediate change of heart-what a fun spot feeling- the inside was an instant party, let's go! very clean, fun & very friendly engaging staff we took advantage of the 'first-time players' online discount (2 rounds 22$) the holes had a good balance of easy (try for the hole in one!) & harder (inclined holes) the artwork was entertaining & the black light was illuminating. Upon entering, you'll quickly notice the 'mood lighting' inside this place - it's a glow in-the-dark theme, which looks super cool while playing! The course appears tiny at first glance, but once you begin playing, you'll discover all of the creative ways the hole(s) are hidden. ;) At times, you may find yourself waiting behind a group trying to move to the next course, but since everyone gets into such a playful mood here, it's no issue. Just wanted to update my review after going back. I think this is a great place. It's straightforward put out and a few games. They even fixed the machines that were broken and they updated the prize amount to the correct amount. It's also a great compromise between parent and kids. It's not too big or overpriced like other places and it's just enough fun for younger kids. Even the VR I didn't know was overpriced. I think it's best to go earlier in the day. We just had our son's 9th bday party here and it was so amazing. The atmosphere is great - the party room was fabulously decorated and big. Our attendant was awesome and kept the kids engaged nonstop. I could actually socialize and play a round of golf with the other parents! (Which was free by the way with the party package.) They even have a nice party room if you want to reserve for a bday or just because event. Best part is affordability. Four of us played for $50. Definitely less than a movie! Went here on a whim after looking through Groupon for family things to do. It is a pretty unique concept for mini golfing in comparison to other mini golf places in the area. With Halloween approaching it seemed fitting for family spooky fun. Since we are in a pandemic, we asked about their cleaning procedures. They clean all the golf clubs and balls after each use and require masks with social distancing while on the course between different groups. I even saw the staff cleaning where people sat waiting to golf after they got up so we felt comfortable. The courses were fun enough to keep a toddler interested all the way through. We did not keep score so I'm not sure how challenging the courses really are but we had fun which was the priority. If you are looking for good fun, this should please all. read more

We went on a Saturday so it was quite busy, but we had fun and sometimes that is what it is all about. Immediately as you enter this spot, everything glows and it is pretty cool. Go to your left to pay for your game - get your club and your ball and pick up a score card and a pencil. Hang your coat on one of the coat racks. The guy we dealt with was pretty cool and very helpful. On the Saturday we went, there ended up being 2 different kid's birthday's occurring, (picture a group of several young kids all playing putt putt) - due to this we started our game in the middle of the course, or should I say we were taken there by one of the employees. This was not a big deal for us as we ended up playing hopscotch with some of the holes to get ahead or behind each group. In the end we were able to play the full course. What did I like about this place: Everything glows The music they played (they played everything) - it was fun to listen to while enjoying the game The holes were a challenge What I didn't like: At times when we were playing, the other employees would walk on the hole as you were about to play and then say sorry after - how about waiting for us to play first or even better yet, there were areas for folks to walk on, without walking in the path of someone's game. Surprisingly fun, a few options too! Sometimes mini golf can feel really cheesy and a bit childish but this place does have a little for everyone. We opted to do the VR and golf. If you haven't done VR yet, try it. The staff was really helpful to give us an understanding of how to use it and giving us ideas on which games to play. If it was a bit closer, I would make this a more consistent occurrence. Cost: They have package specials, and I think I have seen a Groupon in the past but at the time they didn't have one. awh we had fun here for one of our date nights recently. I took it down one star only because i had bought a groupon or some other type of coupon and at first it wasn't being honored but the young man at the cash register righted the wrong quickly and professionally. The place is small but you don't feel cramped in. We could have easily done two rounds of mini golf but wanted to move on to something else. This was our first time here. We went closer to opening on a Saturday because we weren't sure how crowded it gets later in the day. Everything was great. The girl who waited on us was really nice and she explained the different "plans" they offer. The golf was a lot of fun. Afterwards we played a few arcade games and they were really fun too. I think this is an easy and relatively affordable indoor mini golf option. I have visited both locations (other being up near Towson) and they are essentially identical. You pay about $12 for an adult and then go through the entire course. It should take you about a hour due to delays with groups. There are many challenging parts to the mini golf course even for adults. I'd recommend wearing white or neon colors as they will glow in the dark. Don't wear a dirty white shirt; otherwise, all will be able to see your stains. There's also an arcade/game area in the lobby that surely sucks in every kid and parent into spending more money. For a mini golf course, it's enjoyable. The waits, however, are far from that and quite lengthy. read more

We love this little place. Everytime we go we have a great time. Takes about an hour to go through the 18 holes. They play some good 80's hors. The decor is fun with all the monsters, zombies and neon. We have come here with a 2 year old, 17 year old, 20 somethings, 40 somethings and 72 year old and we all loved it. Poor customer service. Two weeks ago we called about 25 min before they closed to see what's the latest time they will allow people to play. The girl on the phone told us up until 11 pm when they close. Of course when we get up there 10 min to 11 they tell us they are closing and all the registers are closed. Mind you we live in Bowie and this place is in Jessup so it's not exactly around the corner. When I tried to explain that we had called or we would've just went home I was told the girl gave us the wrong info. So let's forward to tonight. We get there at 10:30. The first thing I notice is the Open sign is off. I'm thinking that's odd because it clearly says they are open until 11 pm. It's in their website and on their door. We go in and immediately are told by the cashier that they are closed. Then she asks the other girl if she had turned the sign off which she replies yes. And I said well it says you don't close until 11 pm. So then she said well the registers are closed. The other girl told her to give us free passes and then I mentioned again that it's not 11 and they shouldn't be closed. So she informs me that if I can play in 25 min then we can play. At this point we're like whatever because we didn't come out here for the 2nd time to be turned around again. So of course she rings up which is odd since the registers were closed. We did not get the passes which is fine since we were going to play. Bottom line is this place has poor customer service. I'm all for getting out on time but you shouldn't turn paying customers away or closing registers or turning off signs just because you want to go home. I will be contacting management about this as well. read more

With that payment, you get 18 rounds of mini golf and the place has a fun Halloween theme. We were looking for a cheap and fun activity for a corporate team build and came across Monster Mini-Golf. It definitely fit the bill. It's the gaudiest Halloween/Monster/Alien themed place I have ever seen. I mean it is over the top with black lights and florescent decor of monsters, clowns and aliens. If you have a fear of clowns, this is a really bad place to be. It's not overly loud, but there are occasionally spooky noises like an awakening Frankenstein that seems to awake at random times throughout the day. While you play, enjoy the awesome 80's and 90's music jamming in the background! They have a very nice party room that can accommodate a pretty large party. I know if I had a bunch of screaming kids, this would be my first choice for a Halloween party. This room is stocked with extra paper plates, utensils, and cups. They even have a microwave and a refrigerator for you to use. Can you tell that they are good at hosting parties? You will have to provide your own food, so delivery from Mama Lucia or a Potluck would be awesome. Watch your eyes when you leave during day.
