If I could give these guys ten stars, I would. I originally scheduled the video game truck, but after my son expanded the guest list for his 8th birthday party (:-/), we asked a bit last minute to add on the laser tag as well. I was so glad we did. Everyone arrived promptly, and the set up for the trailer was instant. I was impressed with how well these young men maneuvered the trailer down a narrow dead-end street. It was tough getting it into our driveway, but my husband removed our mailbox, and those guys didn't give up. I was so excited that it fit! The trailer was a great temperature for a hot day. The kids loved it. The music was a fun bonus. The laser tag set up was amazing. I didn't realize they would have a microphone for announcements and fun music playing in the yard as well. It turned into a bit of a dance party. The kids loved hearing their scores called out, and the young man running the laser tag was so great with the kids and keeping everything running smoothly. They even did an announcement when it was food/cake time for me without me asking. My son says that we should give them a rating of one bazillion. The quality of the games, equipment, the laser tag set up, the music, the atmosphere - all of it was perfect. Next Level made this an event to remember. Our 5th grade promotion party would have been ruined thanks to Next Level Gaming if it were not for other better and more professional vendors who showed up on time, were professional and were actually kind and courteous to the kids and adults alike. I would not recommend this company. The truck showed up at 10:25 for a 10:30 birthday party. I had stated on the advance paperwork that they would have to park on the driveway and they would not have access to plug into internet. It took the truck 10 minutes to park and he then let me know he had no WiFi. It took over an hour to get access to internet for the kids to play all the games. The truck was scheduled for 2 hours and promptly shut down and left at the end of the second hour. I paid for two hours of gametime and received barely one. Management spent all his time explaining the fine print and why they owed me no reimbursement at all then trying to make up for only one hour of gaming at my son's birthday party. Terrible terrible terrible. Can I give less stars? Where to begin. First, they canceled the party (a birthday party with like 15 9 year olds) 25 minutes before hand. They called me and said there was an incident. When pressed for details, none were provided. I can understand something serious that happens, but vague details with no facts is highly suspicious. Second, the communication is poor. We get confusing auto messages that make it hard to figure out what the status of the event is going to be. If you are going to run an online business, the communication needs to be better. I wouldn't go with Next Level. Check out my other reviews for a much better alternative. IN RESPONSE TO THE NEXT LEVEL GAMING STATEMENT: We asked what happened. I'm not crazy- if the truck was carjacked or jack knifed or something like that, I can totally understand. However, when the vendor says "we can't make it and I can't tell you why," that sounds a lot like "I've made a financial decision that driving to your event isn't worth it because someone paid for an extra hour." Your screaming accusation is self serving. I asked you repeatedly for an explanation; you did not provide it. Was my tone hostile? Sure. You had canceled an event with no details 15 minutes in advance. In my opinion, I consider that to be potentially fraudulent and a possible violation of DC consumer protection statutes. None of your digital communications addressed the incident in any detail, at all. Saying you send digital communications when you called me and then provided no explanation is factually incorrect. You also never offered a free party. I suspect your digital communications don't address that, because it didn't happen. In any event, a free party wouldn't fix what you did. Again, you can say an incident is not disclosed to anyone but your attorneys or police, but that doesn't seem to hold weight for a customer whose event was canceled right before it was to begin. I'm a reasonable guy, but your answer was unreasonable.
