Cons - breakdown in communication, awaited update from them and received cold calls.. seems like they didn't know what was going on and kept excusing themselves saying they are just so busy. Asking price for car was way too high, but never got far enough to speak on behalf of their negotiating. Pretty cold sales force. Not very friendly, too masculine and seemed old school. Wow just wow!! Sitting here in shock after wasting our day today traveling over 3 hours to purchase a Jeep Wrangler today! My husband called and asked all about the Jeep in the morning. Spoke with Bobby. Bobby took a video and sent it to my husband showing how great the Jeep looked. We put down the 500 dollar deposit to hold it until we could get there. My husband talked to Bobby about the Sunrider top this Jeep had and what a great feature it was. A couple hours later we received a call that the windshield had a crack...not a deal breaker for us. They were going to knock off some money and we would just get it replaced at a later date. Then we get there!!! We could tell immediately that this was a shady business with a bunch of scoundrels for salesman! The Jeep looked great, but when we asked where the Sunrider top was Bobby came up with more excuses and lies than you could imagine! We test drove the Jeep and when we got back Bobby was ready for us to purchase! We said sure after you get the Sunrider top for us! Many more excuses and telling us it didn't come with one! When it was seen clearly in the back seat of the Jeep in their advertisement! He said it must be in the detail shop and left to go "look". He came back with a full soft top in a box shoved in the back end of the Jeep! Not at all what was included! The manager then came out and said there wasn't a Sunrider top advertised at all with this Jeep! The picture was deleted at that point. But it clearly states it in the write up and details online!The manger said no no....that's just a generic google advertisement! What a complete joke this place is!!! Jeep Wagoneer had been wrecked in the front, interior trashed.. they staged the photos to avoid showing the problems- yes it's 3 yo vehicle, but this was hiding the problems. Lo-Jack-said we HAD to take it.. no that is illegal! Jeep was sent for delivery before we had agreed to a price and then was missing trim parts. Tires (china) were new, but all out of balance. Still has warped brake rotors even though all are new. Was told there would be $25 of gas in the tank, nope, had 40 miles range left. Jeep was dirty, not even washed. PSA **** Go anywhere, but HERE!!! I repeat, anywhere but HERE!!!! Time Line 2021 - 2024 currently --still dealing with a MESS from this dealership. Oct 2021 purchased the vehicle, but didnt have it in my possession until Dec 2021 because of issues of the vehicle as I drove it off the lot. 10/28/21. Frank Marriott old GM sold me a lemon. Now he no longer works there (of course) Dec 2022, I took my vehicle in to Ford because of the transmission. Ford had spent 8 months fixing issues on my Ford Explore. I had to have the whole transmission of the vehicle completely replace. While, having my vehicle at Ford Dealership I contact Frank and Rob at Monster Motors to talk about the backup camera. Frank is the WORST GM (which makes sense he is no longer there) Rob, however, agreed to pay for the complete issue of the backup camera that AGAIN started the day I drove it off the lot in Jackson, MI. I have text messages saved from Rob that Monster Motors will pay for the camera. Well the camera was on backorder for over a year. Fast forward to currently Sept 2024 - AC needs to be completely repaired and the suspensions do as well. I haven't even been able to have this vehicle in my possession a full year yet without issues. ( AGAIN LEMONS ARE ALL THEY SELL) Ford Dealership said the backup camera is in and I said perfect all Monster Motors....... They spoke with a KENNY the GM currently and he said he will NOT HONOR THE AGREEMENT FRANK AND ROB made with a customer that has had NOTHING BUT ISSUES. Are you kidding me? This is what great customer service looks like? I have text thread saved from Rob about the agreement for the camera. Its just over $1k to be fixed so clearly Monster Motors is already UNDERWATER too much that they are going against an agreement to fix the camera on a vehicle they SOLD TO ME! So wasn't until after I bought the truck I noticed it had more scratches on the body and some damage to the hood and bumper, things I overlooked when checking out the truck at first but it was dirty when it was first shown to me. through it was weird when I went back to buy it after that got it ready for me and washed it they parked it far away from the building, I assumed it was so no one would bump it or get it dirty cause it was snowing and lots of puddles around it, but turned out they didn't want me seeing more imperfections , to drive the price father down, only buy from them if they have exactly what your looking for, all their cars come from auction , you get what you pay for. Besides those issues the vehicular I got runs fine I was just bothered those issues weren't brought up when they were selling at a premium price. Now I did buy tires and rims from them, I've had them for a year and they are still holding up. Bought a 2016 F150 from them recently. We identified a shake in the truck that only existed at Highway speeds. Monster said they would take care of it before we purchased it and would deliver the vehicle to us as we lived 1 1/2 hours away. They balanced the tires, told us the shaking was gone and delivered it. We signed the paperwork after a test drive, where we unfortunately couldn't get the vehicle up to as high a speed as we needed (long way from freeway). We thought we did, but obviously not. We bought it as-is and after a several weeks when we got it on the freeway we found the issue was still there. Monster claims its not their problem. A licensed mechanic diagnosed the problem as needed a driveshaft replacement, $900. Yes we did buy it As-Is, but DO NOT TRUST THEM ANY FARTHER THAN YOU CAN THROW AN F-150!!!! read more

Bought a 2015 Ford F150 with 54,000 miles. Told it was a Canadian truck and that it had been inspected and serviced by Monster Motors. They failed to have a clear title and I spent 5 hours at their dealership before giving up. Was called at home and told that they cleared the title and the could deliver it to me the next morning with all the paperwork being signed at my home. One hour into ownership, noticed a belt squeal and found a screw in a rear tire. Since the screw was too close to sidewall, tire had to be replaced, however this tire is no longer available so I had to buy 4 new tires. While getting tires, the tech pointed out that rear brake pads were worn down to less than 10%. Replaced pads myself but a defective caliper requires two remanufactured calipers also be installed. Then, 8 days into ownership, waterpump failed. That squeal was the bearings going. They had replaced the belt and a tensioner but obviously that wasn't the problem. Thousands of dollars spent in first 8 days of ownership. Not including only getting one key/fob ($400 for a second) and a Lojack fee of $795 despite my telling salesperson that I didn't want it, (Oh, we put that on all vehicles!). I really wish i looked for reviews Before bothering with this shit hole. We are a military family so we know how this goes with using power of attorneys. The first power of attorney we provided stated for registration purposes instead of sales, ok got it. So we paid for another power of attorney since we were apart. We got the right power of attorney this time as we verified with the notary. The notary went through a video call with us both and verified we were the people in our licenses. Then went over the paperwork with us and finalized everything and everyone knows that all the info CAN BE VERIFIED too easy. long story short they said they would prefer to overnight my husband's paperwork and then it would be there the next day. Fast forward the next day with no return call because you literally have to babysit these chumps And hold their hand the whole way and say "heya buddy, did ya submit the paperwork you were supposed to submit?" And then they get mad at you for calling even if youre polite about ASKING IF THEY DID THEIR JOB! it is such a good thing that some people record their calls because i just wanted people to know what kind of joke these guys have to be playing. I only went to these guys because after an accident, i thought it was convenient to find a nice dealer, NOPE. They wasted a day i had to call off work with their feet dragging. Then they didnt mail the paper out that they needed to, and when i called to check AT THE NEAR CLOSE OF THE DAY. not only had it not been sent but he called back later to say they didnt want to continue with the deal because there were too many unknown. when i asked what they were he refused to answer and stated the general manager frank would answer. I wish I'd read the Yelp reviews first... Terrible experience!!! Making a long story shorter... I called before driving 1.5 hours to ask if there were any issues with a Chevy Malibu. I was told no. I got there and even though I am not a mechanic, I readily recognized an obvious problem (it was loud and I felt vibration under my foot on the gas pedal). I left and received a call the next day and was told it was a wheel bearing and it had been fixed. Trent offered to have it delivered to avoid another drive. Awesome. Let's move forward. Over the course of a few days we agreed on a purchase price, I got everything in order, and was contacted this morning to go over the purchase order. I had a meeting and said I'd call back in an hour. I called back when agreed and couldn't get Derek the finance person. Three hours go by, I check and am then told via text that it was sold to someone else. After days of back and forth and preparation. We worked with Hayden as our salesperson and he was responsive and willing to work with us on a number of small issues. Very nice person and went out of his way to make sure everything went smoothly. During the initial purchase we wanted the windshield to be replaced because there was a chip. We also wanted it replaced with a Mopar factory window, and agreed that I would arrange with them at a later date to have that happen. I did not make the appointment for replacement until 5 months after the sale yet they still honored their commitment and I was able to take the Jeep to my local repair shop since I live about an hour away. Terrible customer service. My 19 year old son saved up for a car. Test drove it on Saturday, told the salesman (Drew) he'd be back Tuesday or next Saturday. Emailed with him and talked to him over a couple days and again this morning. We both took off work early today, drove an hour to buy the car. Drew wasn't there when we arrived and another salesman said it was sold a couple hours earlier. Supposedly Drew left my son a voicemail. No missed call, voicemail or email... no communication. Wow... I should have read and listened to these previous reviews before doing business with them. I have recently tried to purchase a vehicle from Monster Motors and it went horrible to say the least. I was willing to purchase and have the vehicle shipped to California. So I was initially hesitant to do business across the country but I give everyone a chance till they screw it up which they did. I put a deposit down to hold the vehicle and go into contract. It took them 3 days to give me a purchase agreement which was incorrect. When I received it they tried to rip me off $1000. After lack of communication I find out they fixed the purchase agreement and they said they were "fixing" a couple of maintenance issues on the truck. It seems like no one talks to anyone over there for information nor do they communicate with their customers. I finally get a hold of a manager who tries to resolve this issue. Over a week past and I finally talk to a finance person and he sends me the contract. He explains that once I am happy with the contract and happy with the maintenance issues ( windshield replacement, and coolant sensor) that they will Overnight the paperwork for me to sign and the truck will Be ready for pickup. Now finally everything seems to be going smoothly. But a day later I get a message saying that they need to refund my deposit because the truck has been sold/auctioned off!!!! Wow! Double screwed! I understand that I wasn't in official contract to buy since I didn't sign anything and return the paperwork that I didn't receive yet but wow.. was the "maintenance" delay all a lie? Not sure what kind of un ethical practices they have going on there but please take this experiencand move on from this dealership. Unhappy customer here that was willing to trust them with over 50k of my money. Go elsewhere please! 7/15/20 update: received an explanation that the owner of monster motors decided to do this to me. Please do not make the same mistake I did and buy a car from this place. Long story short I purchased a truck from them, the same day I got the truck home a few problems occurred. I contacted the salesman and I was told to bring it in and we can figure something out. the next week I bought it in and had a few of the problems fixed. I had one of the mechanics check the suspension because I knew an alignment was gonna be needed sooner or later, the mechanic informed me that the suspension was fine and just an alignment was needed. so the next day I took the truck to belle tire for an alignment, and the alignment guy from belle tire informed me that THE TRUCK SHOULD NOT BE DRIVEN IN THE CONDITION THAT IT IS IN. the mechanic took me to the back of the shop and showed me how loose the control arm was and told me that its unsafe to drive. I called the manager frank and informed him on what was going on, and his only response was "it's your truck now, nothing we can do!" so basically this shop sold me a car that is literally unsafe to be on the roads and won't do anything about it. mind you all the cars are purchased from Canada and have a Canadian title that doesn't show previous accidents or previous service records. read more

Andy told me he was busy and would get my information to his management team and they would call me back within the next day. I proceeded to call back at a later time that day due to not wanting to wait to reserve something on the open market and talk to Kenny who then took a $500 deposit on the truck. Fast forward a day and they inform me they sold the truck from under me and that they were refunding my deposit. From an ethical perspective this is one of the lowest things a sales based business can do. If I could give a 0/5 star rating I would. I bought a 2016 duramax not even a year ago with the best warranty they offered $2900. With the warranty you have to mainly take your vehicle there for service and repairs. I was there in June for an oil change and I wanted them to do an alignment as well. They did the oil change and told me they were unable to do alignment because my ball joint was broken, they would call me after the weekend with estimates and a date for repairs. I never heard back so after waiting a month I scheduled the appt myself which was somewhat booked out. I had a list of things to check. Anyways I get called and they say the ball joint is fine but I need an alignment and now new front tires. I was stunned because I had previously been refused an alignment due a broken ball joint that they diagnosed! My wires are now showing on my truck and I had to order a set of used tires for $200 and they said they would put them on for me for free ($40) and give me a deal on the alignment, also wanted me to pay $250 per tire! Manager wanted to give me a discount on $500 for 2 tires. I asked if they could just pay the $200 for my tires and at least do the alignment for free and I was told no even after reaching management. I was refused service due to them misdiagnosing my truck and never getting back to me and they act as if they did nothing wrong and can do nothing more for me. After purchasing a $50k truck and $3k warranty I expect to be treated better than this. I will not be returning to this company for anything unless it's under warranty and even after that I will take it to my diesel mechanic and have them double check. What I was asking for was nothing to this company and instead of helping me lost a customer and I've already talked to others that have had horror stories here. Service manager couldn't have cared less and happily turned me away. Next step is the BBB for these folks and me because this is just WRONG and now I'm paying Goodyear to put my tires on an do alignment and after hearing my story from this place he made an extra spot for me and gave me a deal! Many other shops said this is absolutely absurd! They won't be held accountable and take responsibility for their mistakes when this company makes tons. read more

Sent a message to the dealership on Sunday September 18, 2022, asking about a truck I saw online. I received a call later that day from a person working from home and advised the truck was available. I asked for pictures of the undercarriage and was advised they would be sent Monday. Monday rolls around and I was contacted by the dealership via text advising to call them. I called them and asked for pictures of the undercarriage again and was told Jake was going to do it. In the meantime I was making preparations to head to Michigan on Wednesday from Kentucky to hopefully take this truck home. Jake contacted me and advised there was actually a hold on the truck from Friday and it was no longer available. Later Monday evening I noticed the truck still online but for 1600K more (roughly) so I contact the dealership again and was told it was available. I was told I would be contacted first thing Tuesday. I called them on Tuesday morning mid morning since I had not heard from anyone at this point. I spoke with Jake and he said the truck was available again. I was excited again and was ready to do business and still head to Michigan on Wednesday. After asking for pictures of the undercarriage again I was then sent a text stating the truck was no longer available once again. How frustrating especially when making arrangements to head there. I will also add the price change 1600K online from when I first saw it and was told it would be honored after it was available again but obviously it became unavailable again. Even after I was willing to put a hold on it myself. This is not a jab at Jake as he was nice to deal with it but the overall interaction with Monster Motors was terrible. I hope they don't do this to others. This is not how you run a business. If it's a communication issue it needs to be addressed. After being assured that the truck I was buying was in the detail shop for safety and mechanical checks and that everything found would be fixed I had to spend nearly $5000.00 in repairs over the first 6000 miles just to be able to drive it. When I wrote to them and sent them all the receipts proving the problems and how soon they happened the manager, Frank Marriott, wrote back to call him so we could discuss the matter in detail.
