Montana Basecamp - Site - RV Parks Near Me - Kalispell, Montana

I stayed at Montana BaseCamp for about a month while working remotely, and unfortunately I would not stay here again. The biggest issue was the internet. The campground advertises high-speed Wi-Fi, but it was essentially unusable at my site. Because I work remotely, I had to rely entirely on my own Starlink connection. If dependable internet is important to you, I would not count on the campground's Wi-Fi. The shared facilities were another major disappointment. There is only one shared bathroom/shower combination and two washers and two dryers serving a very large campground. The bathroom was frequently dirty or not fully stocked. It wasn't uncommon to find wet toilet paper on the floor, hair throughout the bathroom, or to have to wait because someone was using the shower. For the prices being charged, I expected the facilities to be cleaned and maintained much more frequently. I also found the owner to be rude and unnecessarily critical during my stay, which made the experience less welcoming. Additionally, there is no camp store or convenience shop on site for basic supplies. The location is convenient for exploring the Flathead Valley, and the full-hookup sites are a plus. However, between the unreliable Wi-Fi, limited and poorly maintained facilities, and the customer service I experienced, I don't feel the campground offers good value for the rates charged, especially during peak holiday periods. read more

They are the best, got date wrong on online reservations and they set us up with a site any way. Andy was great.

First off, the pictures are misleading. All the grass is dead and the trees are dying. There are only two bathrooms - they did not have toilet paper, paper towels or hand wash soap. These are the minimums required! There was a lot of hair in the drains and one of the doors did not lock properly. I did not feel safe in these bathrooms! Our neighbor had been there four times and was disappointed in how it continued to deteriorate. The owner/manage was never on site. Two stars are for the size of the RV lots, but not much else. There is construction right next door that kicks up a lot of dust/dirt and there are local crew using the bathrooms and drinking heavily on the premises in the evening. read more

I really wanted to love this park... it's beautiful, well designed, has tons of green grass, free laundry and firewood... lots to like right? Unfortunately there were also many issues, especially since you have to pay $125 per night this year. First... the internet is supposed to be high speed Fibre optic. The problem is that it's so unreliable. Even if you can get connected, all devices are limited to 10 maps. That would normally be enough for me to work, but with 65% packet loss and an unreliable signal I was forced to pay an additional $50 per day to go to a coworking site in town. Cell data? Well T mobile is slow and verizon was jammed.... just too many people in town in July. There are two buildings with facilities, one one each end of the park. Each has two rooms... one has a toilet and shower and the other has a single washer and dryer. So in the busy summer season it's tough to get in the restroom with 40 sites per shower. Restrooms Wwere not well maintained and usually out of TP. Want to do laundry? Try the middle of the night... people put their laundry bags in line outside waiting for the one washing machine. read more

Great park! Great location! Great owners! Great/large sites! Free firewood! Free laundry!! This is a park where the owners invested everything into it, and it shows. If you want to be close to everything this part of Montana has to offer..... this is the place!! read more

Overall not to bad. I would have been much happier if I was told when I called to book that the laundry facility was closed for the season (October 14th) I had been on the road traveling from Alaska and really needed clean clothes. Getting in and out of the park isn't really ideal for bigger rigs but can be done read more

It is on a beautiful property in Montana and seems like the put a lot of thought into it. However, the bathroom and shower looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a long time. They only have two toilets/showers on site. They do have free laundry! read more

In a travel trailer (June). Very average for the $115/night (Yes that is $115 per night for minimal amenities. you get free laundry service-when you aren't waiting for others to empty the 1 machine.Hey! there are others waiting for laundry-empty your load when it is time.) I'd rather have pay as you go laundry service and pay less than $100 per night, but we were tired and just wanted to get an RV parking spot and paid the $$$. No shaded areas at all. Free wi-fi - which is nice bonus since you don't have any cable tv hookups available. Other parking spots are longer but have same full hookups for more $$$$ - you would expect more amenities (guess again). No trash can in bathroom, no way to dry your hands- where are the paper towels? There are no soap dispenser(s) in shower/bathroom that had a minimal shelf area and no chair or bench to sit on. GYM style shower with no door or privacy curtain-open air with industrial concrete floor. Be thankful you have toilet paper for that $115+ per night. 1 working stackable washer/dryer in laundry area for entire facility when we stayed. UPDATE-The ONE lone washer quit working before we had a chance to use it.) Other washer/dryer unit in another building was said to be out order. This one laundry set was for the 17 RVs that were staying here. Be glad it wasn't fully packed. Invest more $$ in more amenities and working laundry facilities. For the time we stayed, we paid for at least 1/2 of a another laundry set to be installed. Huge log cabin building industrial area with two cranes adjacent to RV parking lot- noise might be an issue for some Mon-Fri. regardless of where you are staying. No office or general store for any items you might need or forgot. Owner doesn't appear to want to interact too much with people that pay his wages. You better have a smart device of some type to get online when you get here or at home. They don't do anything in person or hand out receipts or take cash or credit cards in person. You want in person interaction - stay elsewhere (e.g. KOA). All back-in lots which is to maximize the earnings for the owner(s). Pull thrus take up so much more space. Think long and hard about staying here before spending your $$$$. read more

Amazing place to stay in the Flathead area! Owners are so friendly and accommodating. Views are incredible. Clean sites with fire pits and grass area is a huge plus. Great location between Flathead, Glacier and Whitefish. The laundry/bath houses were so nice to have access to, there were 3 or 4 of them. Sites are huge, we had 44ft class A with trailer. The grass fields with chairs and the 1.2 mile path around property were amazing. We really enjoyed staying here! read more

Great RV Park!! The location is gorgeous, the spots are large, park is new, only two rows of sites so there is no one behind your site. The park does have one neighbor which is a log cabin building company. The cabin builders are located toward the front of the park so if early morning noise is an issue for you, stay in sites 20 and up. There is a mile paved walking path that surrounds their 55 acre property. It's so pretty! They have free laundry! Only one washer and one dryer in each of the two rooms but it's free! This RV park is more expensive than most but it's worth every penny. read more

Great spot to set up as a base camp for the Glacier National Park area. Located just outside the beautiful town of Kalispell Mt. The wi if is excellent and the sites are large with great views in all directions. The park owner was very friendly and helpful. read more

The owner--who gives little to no amenities, and of those amenities it is simply free laundy, fire wood and a ping pong table that is just the table, no paddles or ping pong balls--is also not pet-friendly for he had complained about our pets being "too loud." A friend of mine also had to supply one of the bathrooms with soap--since the owner stated himself he won't supply soap--she also cleans that same bathroom because it gets so gross due to the lack of responsibility from the owner. In that same bathroom that my friend is supplying to, there is no hot water heater so there is now only one shower that has hot water. Along with the lack of responsibility from the owner, all he does to maintain the RV park, or at least all I've seen him do is drive around to look at people and just yesterday I heard him complaining to yet another person about their animals. Overall the owner does very little to supply and make this a nice place to stay at for camping since there is so little to do. read more
