This is what prime rib is supposed to look like
    Ken D.

So we went to dinner wife ordered steak and lobster special with a salad salad was very good steak was over cooked but still tender so she kept it lobster was good I ordered the prime rib meal with potatoe and salad it was great prime rib was cooked great inside but was torched on the outside when does prime rib get cooked on the grill it didn't look like any prime rib I ever had or like the pic on the menu if I wanted a grilled steak I would have ordered the ribeye!! Is it too much to ask for a properly cooked prime rib? I guess it's my fault thinking things will change at Montana mikes

This is just another all you can eat. Minus the steak. My husbands stake was thin and fatty.

Prime Rib was horrible cut of meat and was grey and cold. Mushrooms were greasy and zero seasoning- over all odd smell in the restaurant.

Fabulous from scratch food! Always exceptional servers except for one girl and she was friendly…read morejust not attentive, I think she's gone now. If in doubt just ask for Kimmy, she's amazing but I almost hate to put that out there because so is everyone else...just that one bad apple. I haven't taken many pictures over the ten years we have been going but will say we have NEVER had a bad meal at Buttered Bunns. Nearly everything is homemade and absolutely everything is very good! And I'm a super critic! I'm attaching the pics I do have and will add more as I go, to help the business. They've always been open for breakfast and lunch 7-2 and it's amazing...but now are open Thursday, Friday and Saturday until 8pm. Full menu...but the specials are AYCE catfish on Thursday, steak on Friday and chicken on Saturday. My point in this review is to try and get Buttered Bunns enough business to continue the Thurs-Sat evening hours. It's a 90 day trial that they are doing. And let's face it, dinner in Miami is your choice of numerous Mexican restaurants (FYI the newest one is more expensive and no better that the smaller places), and Mia Bella - a mediocre Itialian joint, casinos, fast food, or Montana Mikes which made a brief rally that I praised here on yelp a few years ago and then they promptly plunged again to the home of extremely overpriced crap! As I say this I also remember Woodys. Always overpriced but the food was good when Jeff owned it. New owners (same as Main Street Cafe) will drive it into the ground soon enough. We do have a few pizza places that aren't national chains but none of them offer anything exciting as far as toppings. Same as or less than the chain places...and Cruisin 66, the new wood fired place is the biggest disappointment of all as far as toppings go. Oh and we did have a phenomenal chicken place -Wing Club- (wings, sandwiches, wraps) until last week when the city condemned their rented building after just giving them a license to operate in said building a few months ago. Talk about some sh*t there!! I think they are getting a food truck now so kiss that one good-bye. Back to Buttered Bunns who has always been good... Consistent, homemade, real, excellent service. We live in the next town over so it's a 30 minute drive for us but we have been doing it each week to support their new evening hours. Please do it with us to help this fabulous small business succeed! I can tell you that you can't go wrong with any breakfast...my fav is two eggs over medium, hash browns crisp, sausage or bacon, and hotcakes! So good!! Lunch is so hard to choose! The chicken strips are bomb! So are their sandwiches and "dinner" options too! The AYCE catfish tonight was the best I've had in a 50 mile radius, or more! Several casinos in Miami do AYCE catfish but it doesn't even compare! And the sides at Buttered Bunns are SO much better! The dining area is open and I love listening to the regulars talking with the staff and each other...we go once or twice a week but are from out of town and only a few servers know us and only from our visits to the restaurant. I think some folks must be there every day, especially for breakfast, but they also know the staff outside the restaurant. Anyway...it's a great place to eat and a Small Business in the small town of Miami. I hope this review sends you in to see them!! Oh!! Also...their pie is fabulous! Especially the coconut cream. Best pie crust I've had in a restaurant ever! Good fillings are common but usually come in a crappy crust. Not at Buttered Bunns, their pie crust is tender, flaky and flavorful! To hold all that amazing filling! Enjoy!!

Food is always excellent and portions are more than enough, and I'm fat lol. Friendly, helpful…read moreservice, very fair prices. No wonder this place is always packed which gives it a lively atmosphere . It's that good. I'll take pics next time.

The Café's sign says Flame Broiled Steaks. I ordered the Cowboy Burger and yes it was a flame broiled beef patty. A large beef patty. This sandwich is a massive pile of meat. On the beef patty, a stack of ham, stacked thicker than the beef patty and two or three slices of excellent thick hickory bacon. Swiss cheese, a splash of BBQ sauce, all wrapped in toasty buttery Texas Toast. Fresh cut fries on the side. They have something going on with these fries. They are cut thin, everyone of them crispy. Uniquely seasoned with lots of black pepper and salt. The Cowboy Burger was too Much. My wife still had Mexican food on her mind after our failed attempt to have lunch at a Mexican joint down the road. The Taco Salad was as described at the intro to this review, not authentic Mexican, but good home cookin'. Beans, lettuce, tomato, beef in a crispy shell with bottled salsa on the side. They have a good-looking salad bar and today a big sheet of chocolate cake was the reward at the end, if you ate all of your salad. Breakfast or a steak might be worth a try here! We enjoyed our lunch. Good prices, good service and the Christmas decorations are up.
