This place is a hidden gem. The people are amazing. Service is always on point! I have been a customer for years now and have no complaints. Obviously it's a bar open to the public so sometimes on occasion you can get an unruly customer that doesn't have any respect for a local establishment. 2 stars because they are never open when they stay they are. Hours on here are not up to date at all. If i could leave a 0 star review i would. i've given this bar a chance twice. the first time the owner starting fighting a customer and i assumed the customer was in the wrong. the second time i came to this bar we were in a group with a lot of out of state people. i can understand the concern when it comes to out of state IDs, but the owner was an absolute asshole. we explained to the bartender that we were college graduates in town for the funeral of our college friend's mom. they then told the other people in our group that they would not serve any of us because we were not of age!!!!!!! the owner then shoved one of the men in our group & called a women a "cunt". after telling us they wouldn't serve us we decided to leave. the owner then stood outside to "make sure all of our tabs were paid" when they KEEP YPUR CARD!! the tab will be paid regardless, leave us alone and stop trying to start a fight. the owner is not a nice man what so ever. I love this place. Cheesy, hole-in-the wallish, and smokey. you can find some of Roswells best bellied up to the bar and snookered any night of the week. Don't be fooled by the looks of this place, it may be "dated and worn" but the food is Awesome! The cook does a great job of creating great dishes at a very reasonable prices. My personal favorite is the white bean chili. A bowl of that with a few Blue Moon beers and I'm glad I ever found this place. If you don't like Blue Moon, fear not they have a very extensive on tap and bottle beer selection. When the rain gets heavy you get the bonus of having a lakeside pub, as the driveway floods faster than Porta-john at a outdoor rock concert. Put this in your back pocket as a Johnson Ferry/Shallowford Road place to check out at least once. read more

Montana's is another East Cobb haunt, filled mostly with former Pope students... a bit like a big high school reunion for many who enter the doors. I've never eaten the food here, but I've downed quite a few cocktails. The drinks aren't bad and the price is right, but for some reason I always find that the overall experience is lacking. Maybe it's the single ladies room. Or the slow waitresses who play favorites. I do like that they have a shuffle board game. read more

I have been here a few times in the past usually to drink but also have had meals here. Recently I went back to check it out and had a beer. They have a pretty decent selection of beers on tap, but were missing some that I get at nearby bars. When I have eaten here, the food was above average, and the selection typical for a sports bar. If you want to watch games while you drink, for me this is not the best sports bar because the quality and location of their screens is not so good. The waiting staff has always been attentive and friendly when I have been there. The main issue I have, though, with this place is that it seems like an insider's club with a same group that comes every afternoon or evening. There doesn't seem to be much of a mix of people or a lot of newcomers. It also allows smoking and I have been spoiled by non-smoking bars. read more

Placed a to-go order of wings, asked for extra seasoning on them and when I get home I have extra seasoning in two little containers. Not what I wanted or expected. I wanted them completely tossed. The smokiest little dive in town. If you wanna have some strong drinks with some friends, this is the place to go.

The food is great but the service leaves something to be desired. The servers don't check back with you often enough. And when they do, they seem distracted even when it is not busy. Don't miss out on the Shrimp and Crab Dip. It is the best. Burgers and Chicken Fingers are also great. The bar does allow smoking, but if you know that going in, it's fine. read more

If you smoke, you'll love this place. If you don't, or want to go out to eat with your family, this isn't the place. It's a shame, too, because the food is very good and the service is great. But the inside reeks of cigarette smoke. It's suggested that non-smokers go outside on the patio. I've been there a couple of times during peak hours. Lots of empty tables. I have hung out at Montana's for about 4 years now. The decor improved tremendously last year--nothing like a little fire to help you along--and the bathrooms received a much needed upgrade. Montana's is populated by "regulars" and everybody knows everybody. Don't worry if you're new--they'll treat you like a regular. The "Party in the Parking Lot" during the spring and summer months is the greatest draw for me, as well as their bi-annual BBQ. Most of the menu is okay--nothing special "bar food"-- though they try to get fancy once in a while. Good drink specials and a great place to hang out for watching UGA or Falcons games. It is very smoky, so if cigarettes bother you, stick to the outdoor seating. read more

The owners of this place need a clue.... our zero personality waitress was too busy hanging out with her friends to pay any attention to our table-guess because we did not know her. Also watched her do two shots behind the bar. The wait staff look like the customers.... why are they not wearing Montana T-shirts? The bartender is overpouring the drinks... great if you are a customer... stupid if you are the owner. Food is so-so, just o.k. Our booth had ripped seats. A party of 6 left and the mess was never cleaned up while we were there. The waitress-- long blonde hair, short, a little tubby.... totally ignored it. Needless to say... won't ever go back. Here meeting some friends- they play great music from my day- The Who, Tom Petty, Van Halen, Doors etc. They have a nice wall of beer on tap. Steve the Barkeep is very efficient and does a great job getting to know the newbies. This is my first visit in years- it burnt down a year ago and the new TV's and local feel is great.
