I had a truly disappointing experience at The Standard today and will not be returning. I brought my dog to lunch on the patio because the restaurant advertises itself as dog friendly. My dog is well-behaved in these settings, but like many dogs, he can be reactive if another dog comes up to him uninvited - which is exactly why leashes exist in public spaces. Before I even got my food, two large dogs were wandering freely around the patio off leash. I politely said to the man nearby (who turned out to be the owner), "Hey, my dog can be reactive -- could you please put your dogs on a leash?" He completely dismissed me, saying, "They're fine," and ignored my request. I spent the rest of my meal trying to keep my dog tucked under the table to minimize the chance of a reaction if the off-leash dogs approached. The anxiety of waiting for that to happen pretty much ruined lunch. When I asked again, instead of showing any courtesy or concern, the owner came over and condescendingly asked, "Why bring your dog here if he gets triggered?" I explained clearly that a dog-friendly restaurant typically means dogs are leashed, not roaming freely. My dog is fine around other dogs on leashes. His response? That it's "private property," so his dogs can be off leash as though that somehow excuses ignoring basic courtesy or safety for customers. Eventually, he put his dogs in the car and took them home, but the damage was done. Based on other reviews, this isn't an isolated incident -- someone else mentioned a similar situation with a little girl who was afraid of his dogs and the owner refused to leash his dogs and the family left. The servers were lovely and kind, but the owner was dismissive, rude, and showed zero concern for customers or their comfort. A truly dog-friendly restaurant respects all patrons -- including those with dogs that need predictable, safe environments. If you're looking for a place that actually values customer experience, this is not it. read more

Standard is my go to in Roswell. I always know I'll see both staff and patrons that feel like family. DJ always greets you with a smile and has done an awesome job cultivating a great beer list. The frosé is a perfect treat on the patio, along with Long Drinks and Nutrls as well. My favorite part of going there is how dog friendly they are. They even have a dog menu! He immediately offered to send someone to bring me food. He recommended the Astro pizza (with sausage added). It was the light at the end of the tunnel. We love going to the Standard at Roswell when we are in the area. it's a really chill vibe, they have a ton of outdoor seating for a nice day, and the food is good. We have tried the following items on previous visits and enjoyed them: - mozzarella sticks - garlic knots - chicken tenders - cheese pizza On this visit, I ordered the standard pizza ($21) which has cheese, prosciutto, tomatoes, and basil. It was really good! The smallest size you can order is a 12 inch, and that lasted me three meals! My husband ordered the cheeseburger ($14) and said it was good. The fries are really good & crispy, with some kind of seasoning on them. They have live music Thursday-Sunday. We were there in the middle of the day on Sunday to watch football games, and they had live music the whole time we were there. It's a great place to watch games because they have TVs in every corner of the restaurant! I will say that it is a Bills bar, so if there is a Bills game on I'm guessing it's probably packed! read more

My coworkers and I walked here for lunch today. The food was pretty good! I got the Italian sandwich with fries. I thought their fries were great, I wasn't a huge fan of the sandwich but it was still good (came with a bit of a kick to it that I wasn't expecting.) Our food took awhile. They had all the doors open even though it was kinda cold out so the temp inside wasn't very comfortable. There is minimal parking here but that's fairly character for the area, just something to keep in mind. Our server was courteous. Minimal parking, so we parked at the Roswell Library since it was after hours. They had live music! Here's what I tried: - Garlic "Nots" ($9): The top ones tasted fine, but the ones on the bottom were soaked in oil. It was disgusting. Would not get again. - 10 Wings ($17): We got Medium and Teriyaki. They were good, but expensive. - Jawaiian Pizza ($25 for 16"): Pretty good, especially the crust. I came here for a birthday & really enjoyed it. The atmosphere was great, the outdoor seating was nice. They have a very expansive beer list, some of which are local, an you can actually taste test before you order. Overall, their drink menu & food menu was very expansive & would have something for everyone. There aren't a ton of healthy(healthier) options outside of the salad section however. I ordered a Caesar salad & a few Blake's hard ciders which were both good. I also split a white pizza that had artichokes on it, our pizza wasn't very good, it hardly had any flavor. Our friends split a pepperoni that was delicious. I enjoyed the crusts, the white pizza was just bland. Big fan of this place! It has a good amount of TV's, beer on tap, and a huge outdoor patio. They had live music playing on the Friday night I visited. The actual restaurant does not have much parking, but there is a big parking lot a block down next to the fire station. I had seen this place advertised for the pickle pizza so that is what I was there for, but we still started with the meatball appetizer. They were okay, I wouldn't order again. But for the star of the show - the pickle lovers pizza, it was 10/10. Super unique, my partner and I are huge pickle fans, and if you are as well I recommend. read more

Wow! I wish I had found this place sooner. The Standard has a fantastic outdoor patio and is kid friendly. There was a space off to the side where you could play bags and they had some oversized jenga pieces that the kids were playing with. The food is incredible and we had an awesome waitress. The owner was outside when we arrived. He was very nice and gave us some great suggestions for food. My husband chose the Italian sandwich which was loaded with tons of meat (all sliced in-house) and came with a side of fries. The sandwich was so good and the fries were hot and crispy. I picked the standard pizza... sounds basic by the name but it is so far from basic! It also came out hot and crispy. It is a white pizza with garlic oil as its base and comes with prosciutto, tomatoes, basil and 3 kinds of cheese. My favorite part was how the whole pizza, even the crust, was covered in a tasty garlicky parmesan coating. Based on this experience, I'm sure the other pizzas on the menu are delicious but I'm not sure I'll be able to order anything besides the standard. Parking was a bit difficult but we went at the same time as the Roswell wine festival. There is a public lot around the corner behind the fire department. I can't wait to go back for more pizza and next time I'll try the Frose drink. read more
