After hearing about Lola's from many people my hubby and I tried it Saturday. First the good stuff!! Service was excellent, can't remember her name but she was super attentive. The avocado and tomato salsa was really good! Lots of chips included. Now for some of the cons (in my opinion) we both got beer and they were medium cold, disappointing and no chilled glass. The restaurant was warm for a hot summer evening, somewhat uncomfortable. But the worst thing was the actual hamburger. We got the Maui Smash burger and it was devoid of any flavor and the pinapple mango salsa was almost non exsistence ,the bun was huge for the small amount that was between it. The burger was over cooked and very dry and lacked flavor. For a "burger" place we were expecting a big juciy fat burger with stuff falling off the bun with each bite. No such experience. We were there as a group of 11 people on the night of Atlanta live on July 16 at 7 PM We waited for over an hour in the extreme heat, outside the restaurant ,, as the receptionist (Jess) in the front told us that the first big table that opens up will be ours A table did open up outside after waiting for an hour, and we ask her and her coworker claimed it was her second day at the job, if we can sit there and we were told yes Right after we sat down, no one came to clean up the table for a while, then African-American Manager came whose name was JR, treated us with extreme rudeness and utmost disrespect, and asked us to leave as the receptionist then claimed that she did not give us a table We stood there and argued with the manager (JR) for another 30 minutes and then he finally agreed to send the waitress out. The waitress was nice, and she did take order quickly and brought the food out for most of us couple of them did not get their food at all.. The waitress was the only positive experience we had. In conclusion,we had a horrible experience with the receptionist who needs a lot of training, and JR the manager, who has no clue how to treat the customers right. Second time here, and forgot what I ordered the first time. Love they have a burger bar because we were all craving burgers after hitting up Gate City Brewery. Cool spot in the heart of the dining district in Roswell. It's absolutely more of a sports bar but more upscale. The atmosphere is perfect for all occassions but geared more towards sports. Yes, a nice long list of tequila and burgers. We ordered bloody Mary's, which were decent. Could've used more of a kick and a full blown veggie decoration (maybe a shrimp?). It's the only reason for the star bump. Service was stellar! I ordered the plain Jane with the Snake River Farm ground beef ... ha, makes me laugh when beef is labeled as a fancy farm name. So this is a pretty cool place. It actually has a lot of aesthetics that seem like they're a little mismatch, but they definitely fit. You'll come in and sit out, but if you don't want to there are places outside for you to sit. But there's plenty of seating downstairs and upstairs. If you come, there's parking along the street but is pay parking. Depending on when you come you may get it for free, but just keep that in mind. The bar is very large and like I said before there's down and upstairs. It's very aesthetic and their TVs all over the place. You can pretty much watch any game you want for the most but I would assume, cuz they have plenty of screens and even a big projector screen. Also, I want to know that the larger part of the upstairs seating area had its on bar so you could pretty much be good drink wise. If you are going downstairs upstairs. That's really cool. The first time I went I sat at the bar, everybody was super cool. Anna took a lot of care of me. I ordered some food but didn't get any drinks, but at the same time, we still had a good conversation. She was really good and I would definitely come back and sit with her again at the bar. Lola's chicken wings (lemon pepper) - The lemon pepper wings were good. Had a good amount of seasoning on them so I cannot complain. They were fried crispy as they should be, and they were huge. Definitely some solid ringers. Lola's chicken wings (Chipotle BBQ) - Now these also were huge, they came in the same Wing size obviously so they were good. The sauce was okay. I probably would not get this one again. I would probably get another flavor or at the same time, more leopard pepper LOL. Fried onions - So these are basically onion rings. They didn't have that many though, but it was a side order. But at the same time, they were pretty large. It's not like they gave you bits of onions, these are full rings. I got it with barbecue sauce and it went pretty well. Jalisco - This burger was really good. It came larger than what I thought it was going to be, came with fries. The burger had two large pieces of bacon on it, and it had sauce on it as well. So it was the complete package and the fries are really good as well, you can't complain about those. They were cooked to perfection. It made me want to try other burgers on the menu. Brussel sprouts - The brussel sprouts were pretty good. They had a good shower to them so that was very desirable. They also had seasoning and heavy on the vinaigrette. I would get something again. Overall, I had no flaw in anything so far. It was a really good time. Everybody was really cool, the terms are super friendly. I love their customer service. Even when they swapped out. The other one picked up right where the first bar turn the left off and we had a really good conversation. Lots of seating with an upstairs area that was decorated with a nice-looking Santa doing free pictures. The pomegranate margarita and both of the tacos and street corn I got were good. This is just a great place to watch a game, get food, or have drinks. The hostesses are not always attentive but I have not had a bad waitress/waiter here yet. All of them have been attentive and thoughtful. There are tons of TVs here big and small. It is a great place to watch a game. There is an upstairs area the had its own full bar but not a ton of seating. However it can be a good place to watch the game from. Did I mention they have a bunch of TVs?! The burgers are great! The wings are good. The salads are very good! Honestly I don't think I have ever had a bad meal here. Watch the bowls... they are pricy and not worth the cost. We come here often! And truly enjoy it. The street corn was great, especially after scraping it off the cob. The larger pieces were perfect, while the smaller ones had less corn and a heavier amount of seasoning. There were at least six pieces, so it was a generous appetizer. I ordered the chicken skillet and swapped the black beans for brussel sprouts. It was very good, and I liked the fresh avocado. The last time I came, I had the chicken sandwich with avocado and enjoyed that too. The place is loud but lively. We had a great time eating here and got seated right away on Sunday for a party of 4. We sat in the high top area and it was our first time here so we had to try different things on the menu to try! I ordered the Chicken Avocado Sandwich with fried plantains. The chicken itself could've been warmer but the flavors were spot on! The Gouda was a great touch! For dessert, we ordered the Oreos churros which came with two scoops of vanilla ice cream. They were pretty good but next time, I'd try the brownie sundae. First visit, was a Friday night. The place was packed inside and out, but we were able to get a table inside. Had some live music this evening. I had the Snake River Wagyu burger, and my wife had Jalisco burger. Both burgers were excellent and cooked to order. One of the best burgers we've had in a long time. Fries left a little to be desired - with burgers is good they should serve handcut fries vs the frozen Friday; fries were also not very hot. As much as we enjoyed the burger, the inside was deafening loud and we could not even have a conversation without yelling. We came here on a weekend night and it was great! I have always walked by this place and wanted to try it. We had a reservation and were thankful we did as it was pretty crowded, but was thinning out around 8pm. We were seated immediately at a nice table near the front that had a nice view of the whole restaurant, which had booths, high tops, and a huge bar. The high ceiling helps the vibe for sure. For starters, we got the deep fried devils egg. I tend to get them when I see deviled eggs on the menu, but these were different. The deep frying part I had never had, and they were really good and unique with the jalapeno peppers. For my entree, I got the 944 Smash. What drew me to this decision was the brisket in the blend and the chive aioli. The patties were great with the blend, and the chive aioli was good too. Although we did not have our kids with us, it is a kid friendly place and also a great place to watch a game. read more

Lola's is easily in my top 3 favorites for the Roswell area. That is probably why it has also been the place I have dined at most since moving here (including a few visits prior to our move). What I love most about Lola's is the chips & queso. I would come any day just for that. It comes with both waffle chips and tortilla chips. I personally like the waffle chips best but the queso is the true star. It is creamy and has just right amount of kick to make the flavor pop without being too spicy. This is an absolute must-have for me on every visit because any visit without the queso would be incomplete. As you can tell, I am a fan of the queso. Lol. I am a cheesehead but unfortunately most cheese dips tend to disappoint, so it's nice that Lola's is spot on every time. The buñuelos are another great appetizer, though sadly I did not get them on this visit. Today we opted instead for the avocado & tomato salsa instead, which was good but I think I like the buñuelos better. Today we went to celebrate my son's 20th birthday. It was crowded when we arrived but luckily we did not have to wait too long before being seated even though we were a big group. I had the patty melt and a few other orders at my table included the 944 smash, the cali avocado, and the casa original salad. Everyone enjoyed their meals and left happy. My husband and I had a margarita, which was tasty and had a good amount of alcohol. Service was good and has been consistently good on every visit so far. After our meal, I let our server know that we were celebrating my son's birthday and she brought him chocolate churros with ice cream and candles to sing him happy birthday. I don't normally like churros but these were delicious and went beautifully with the vanilla ice cream. It was attacked before I got a picture of it, so the photo does not show it intact but it looked as good as it tasted. All in all, Lola's is a must-try if you are in the area. I will be back often and will continue to enthusiastically recommend it to others. I chose Lola's for our first trip to the area and while we stopped and numerous other venues during subsequent trips to the area, this one remained our favorite. We seated ourselves at the bar and had a great interaction with our server, Brittany - if you are there on a night she is working, consider yourself lucky! My wife started with a Habanero Rita (see picture) and since Brittany said that she could make a Mezcal Paloma (see picture), I went with that. We shared tastes of our drinks and both of us really liked both drinks. For our dinner, Brittany suggested the 944 Smash & Brussel Sprouts (see picture) as well as the Shrimp Tacos & Street Corn (see picture). My wife ordered the burger and I opted for the tacos. While both of us loved both main courses, I can't tell you enough how delicious the Street Corn is - creamy, spicy & juicy. You definitely have to try it as a side on your next visit! Great food options with a modern and unique decor and paired with great service made this a must-stop on later trips to the area. Bold statement here but it's true, this is THE BEST BURGER JOINT IN METRO ATLANTA! My apologies to the many good opinions all around the city but this place went way beyond exceeding my expectations. I love the blended burger patties like ground chuck, short rib and beef brisket in the Maui Smash (one of my favorites). All their burgers are amazing but my favorite is the Snake River Wagyu, be sure to get it cooked no longer than Medium to really enjoy all the flavor. The restaurant is small but very cool, has a throw back vibe where everything revolves around the big bar in the middle. It's very casual, laid back vibe and in the middle of the Roswell square so it's a cool community. I Highly Recommend this Spot, well worth a try, I promise you'll be back read more
