First visit to Montana's, while visiting the Collingwood area. The facility is welcoming and the decor has a Texas feel. Rustic, but clean and unique. We were immediately welcomed at the entrance by a friendly smile and asked for our preferred seating - we chose to sit in the bar area. Our waitress / bar keep was super attentive, which made our experience very nice! The ribs were delicious, and the sauces just as good too. The 2 of us shared the large meal. There was plenty to eat, and some to take away. Overall, Montana's is a nice meal with excellent service. We'll definitely visit when we're in the area. read more

went there Aug 1 2025. we had ribs. was not good. no flavour. ribs were not seasoned. tasted like they just threw a rack of ribs on the grill. and sauce was spread so thin could hardly taste it. asked for sauce on side. they sent sauce that was cold. Came here during my trip to Collingwood because my friend wanted ribs. However the food was only mediocre, my friend said his ribs was ok and my steak was also just ok. The buffalo cauliflower was really good tho. Overall it's pricey for mediocre food. Service was quick and friendly though!! read more

Had their fish and chips. It was just the right amount of batter and the fish was light and flakey, and the right amount of fries. Coleslaw was refreshing. The waitress that was serving was amazingly attentive with our table. Would definitely return next time I'm in town. read more

Picked a place to grab a bite to eat to satisfy a range of different cravings among friends, and I gotta say we had a lovely time. The server was just the nicest (Laurena), and the ambiance was solid. The food isn't anything special (and I wish they had a few more vegetarian options), but the drinks were actually pretty solid. I had a spicy, tangy Caesar and the server gave me a free coffee at the end of the meal, and my friends ordered a fancy drink with cotton candy on it that they really enjoyed. Was driving through and felt just at home at this location. Super good food and would 100% come back if I am ever in the area once more. I have frequented this restaurant several times over the years, at least 2 or 3 times/month. However, I fear the quality (and quantity) has really suffered in recent months. We ordered two striploin meals with an apple pecan salad and two corn muffins (we only got one). We also ordered a mushroom/onion topping for each steak. Each was $6 + tax. It was this creamy, bland goop that looked as unappetizing as it tasted... The meal really did not taste good. The mashed potatoes tasted stale and the salad needed The "full sized" salad has shrunken over the past year. It's now just over 1/2 the size of the container... at a price point of $12.50 +tax! I've included a photo of the salad. There were exactly 4 pieces of apple, three small pieces of red bell pepper and three 1/2 pecans in the entire thing! There's nothing I hate more than "feeling" like I've been cheated! The entire bill was $99.91! This may be the last time I spend my hard earned money here. Waited 30 min just to get our drink order in, then they came another 30 min later, my beer was flat. Food came after 1hr 45min. Very difficult to entertain a 5yr old girl for that long as our art work shows. Her grilled cheese was burnt, my steak was cold, and we had no utensils, another 10mins to flag down missing wait staff and they brought us one fork each and one napkin for three people. I thought this must be a prank. There was more minor things like no dessert was brought out for kids meal and no sour cream or butter for baked potato but at that point it didn't matter. Spoke to manager and he adjusted our bill and gave us coupons apologizing the whole time, but really doesn't change the worst dining experience ever. read more

Visited this evening with my boyfriend. Our server was terrific, very attentive and efficient. We ordered a spinach and artichoke dip appetizer which was delivered right away. It was served hot and fresh, which we loved. I had the Chicken Tacos. The portion size was great, however, I did not care for the "Kapow" sauce they had on the tacos. Made the tacos difficult to eat because it was so runny and too hot for my liking. My lips were on fire and even made the ketchup on my fries taste different to me. Was not a fan of it. Next time, I'd ask for a ranch sauce or something instead. read more

Save your money and just go to McDonald's. Our first and only time at Montana's was a joke. I would just like to point out that there was only 5 other people in the restaurant that weren't my family, myself, and the employees. So, how they messed up this experience for us is beyond me. The lobster & shrimp Mac and cheese that my brother ordered, had absolutely no lobster and shrimp in it. The manager proceeds to tell us that the shrimp and lobster are just finely chopped and insisted that it was in there... but offers to add more in for him, which was nice. When they brought it out the second time, you could clearly see the "finely" chopped lobster and shrimp that wasn't in the mac and cheese the first time around. My mother ordered shrimp fajitas with no onions... First, the shrimp and peppers had absolutely no seasoning on it (literally was just steamed or boiled). Second, the waitress brought it out and you heard absolutely no sizzle from the skillet. Third, the tortillas were cold. I ordered the southwest skillet.... and it wasn't in a skillet lol Lastly, Melissa, our server, was the absolute worst. She shouldn't be in the service industry if she is going to treat her customers like trash. Not one time did she apologize for the inconvenience of all 3/4 orders being so messed up. She had this nasty ass attitude towards us the WHOLE time we were there. She made some slick ass remarks when we told her what was wrong with our food and proceeded to ask her for refills (which had been empty from the time she served our appetizers to the time we sent the food back).. "which one do you want me to do first, your refills or your food?" Like we wouldn't have had to ask for refills if she wasn't too busy talking to her coworkers instead of doing her job. I have this place two stars and that's pretty generous considering. One star for the appetizers (spinach dip and the kapow shrimp) because they were better than our actual entrees. Bad service + gross food + indifferent management = a night out at montanas We waited 55 minutes for dinner witch came cold when we asked the waitress why our food was taking so long she simply said "I know I know I know it coming" she behaved as if she were a human conveyor belt. The pasta was cold the fajitas chicken were uncooked but the waitress and the cook staff were unaware or felt it was acceptable to serve food of such dismal quality management at first made insincerer apologies but offered nothing to correct their lack of service and food quality. When the food was taken back to the kitchen and a nother 30 min wait the food came back again cold. Just had lunch with the family. Appetizers included Spinach Dip and Deep Fried Pickles. Both were plentiful, hot and fresh. Main courses included Salmon and Rice, Steak on a Bun for my wife and I. The kids had chicken fingers and ribs. The steak was perfectly cooked and the bun fresh. My wife had a bad experience with Salmon in another location previously but today she said it was perfect. On both occasions the food was ok and we were served by professional staff and I particularly enjoyed the steak, but I did not enjoy other meals. Went for lunch recently on a very quiet Wednesday and was such a disappointment. We have visited this chain (although not this location) in the past when our kids were small and had satisfactory meals. Our expectations for chain restaurant food are not high, but we do expect cheap, cheerful and reasonably fast. This was not the case. We were seated and given menus quickly (it was not at all busy). We then waited quite a long time for our orders to be taken. I think our server was having a bad day as she did not smile once. We ordered simple, quick to prepare food - soup, a wrap, a club sandwich. We waited a very long time and predicted that the food would be cold when it arrived. Sure enough, the soup was lukewarm, the toast in the club sandwich was soggy and cold. We ate, paid,, then two of us waited by the front door for a member of group who was using the restroom. Our waitress came over and wanted to seat us again, apparently unaware she had just served us lunch! read more
