Don't rent here. Maintenance doesn't deal with some issues unless you prod them a couple times, and other times, it just takes them forever. Didn't inspect or clean the unit -- even the private areas -- before I moved in because there was a lease renewer as my roommate, meaning they somehow couldn't enter the apartment, even if they were to give advance notice? Though the place is furnished, the quality of the furniture isn't very good. They got new management about a year ago, but they're still doing a terrible job with actually handling any of the problems with the complex. A/C compressor blew out and it apparently took them days to decide on what to do about it, despite this happening with multiple other units this year? And the window unit they threw in the living room is better than nothing, but not enough, even as nothing continues to happen. read more

DON'T MOVE HERE!!!!!! Having trouble with being over charged after I moved out and can't get someone on the phone. I want to get my deposit back but I can't talk to anyone. Why is there a phone number if they just send you to voicemail during business hours??? Place wasn't clean when I moved in but when moving out they are charging high cleaning fees. They tac on charges for the sake of it. Rent went from $450 when I moved in to $575-$600 within 2 years. The transfer from campus lodge to montara park has been terrible. I wanted an affordable place to live and got this. You're better off renting a house or going to another complex. read more

I have had multiple issues with the management of this complex, Cardinal Group Management. When I first moved in, they had assigned me to a filthy unit. The kitchen had mold and cockroaches, and there were cigarette ashes all over the living space. I had to switch units. It took management almost three months to get my new unit updated in their system. They had updated me to the wrong unit twice during that time, meaning I was paying rent to the wrong units. Due to this, they sent me an eviction warning, despite paying my due rent. This was cleared up by the end of October. My lease ends on the 7/31, and management has maintained that move-out day will match this date. However as of 10 days ago (28 days of notice), they are now saying that all non-renewing residents must move out by 7/23, contrary to ALL previous information, and my signed lease. Lived here for a 1yr+ and should've looked at the reviews before i renewed. A/C is constantly going out and takes maintenance forever sometimes to get assistance and even then they're not fully equipped to what needs fixing hence the picture of the door lock. Their online portal for billing is not always updated hence previous bills/utilities being stacked onto next months bill unexpectedly. The best part of my experience here is the roommates and that's about it. I'm not one to leave bad reviews but seems like i'm not the only one. read more

I thought this place would become better with the new management but honestly the old management and maintenance were way better. I was told there was 24/7 emergency maintenance and that was a lie because I was stuck in a 85 degree apartment for 4 days. The front office also never answer the phones. The maintenance has gone down hill and so has the property. The utility prices have also gone up by a lot. They also just let trash pile up at the compactor making it smell. Also, the crime rate is high here because they will never shut the gate, so expect your cars to get broken into. I will not be renewing and I suggest no one signs a lease here. read more

1. First day, the toilet didn't flush. Like, legit nothing happened. It took them 4 days to fix a rather important issue. -1 star 2. Bugs get in so easily. Spiders, ants, earwigs, etc. -1 star 3. Shayla who works at the front desk is one of my roommates. Her cat has run out twice while I try to leave for work. Today was the 2nd time I have had to give chase to the cat to get it back inside because I don't want to lose my roommate's cat. I crawled on my hands and knees through multiple bushes RIGHT after a shower to get that cat. When I finally got it back in the apartment, I started pulling branches out of my hair and said "You stupid cat, I just had to crawl through a bush for you WHY do you keep running?!" She heard me say that, and came out yelling at me. She told me, verbatim "Get the fu** out of this apartment you stupid cun*!" She slammed the door to the apartment (that I also pay for) in my face. I had THOUGHT that getting a front desk employee would mean I was safe from having the crazy roommate experience. I was wrong. Campus Lodge is a really cute complex. The pool is nice and the workout and hangout spots are nice. The units themselves have had some upgrades and for a college kid- nice enough. This place runs a scam to squeeze money out of young residents. Applying fines to bills with zero proof and then refusing to discuss. They will apply your rent payments to the bogus fines and then say that you are late on rent payments and assign another fine. We had to hire an attorney who also was ignored. Our daughter just moved out and I suggest you look for other spots in Norman. read more

Great scenery. Wedged in between a frisbee golf course and parks, there are a lot of things to do, some of which include local food and inner city living. Next to a college campus and bus service directly in front of business. I'd say to stay here and make it your home. read more

Wish I could give ZERO STARS! DO NOT RENT FROM CAMPUS LODGE! We have had the absolute worst experience with them! We are out of state so our daughter had to move in by herself the Saturday before classes start. When she arrived to move in, her apartment was not ready for move in. It had NOT BEEN CLEANED and 4 girls were moving in and starting classes the next day. On top of the entire apartment being disgusting their oven did not work and the washer and dryer did not work. It took weeks to get anything fixed so they could not wash and dry clothes or cook for weeks. Furniture, cabinets and blinds broken. The carpet was covered in stains. We had to hire a cleaner just so the girls could move in and they are refusing the reimburse us for it. My daughter's car has been broken into 3 times. They had a homeless man hanging out in their stairwell. They had to call the cops to have him removed. He had bolt cutters and drugs in his backpack. They have rodents living INSIDE the apartment. Reported it a week ago and no one has gone to fix the situation. They have seen pest control on the property twice since but no one has handled it. They have caught two rats in the last two days INSIDE one of the girl's rooms/closet. If you call the front office at 3:00pm during business hours the manager has already left for the day and the only way to contact anyone who should be able to do anything is email and of course they are not quick to respond. She is not the only one with these experiences. Unacceptable and unsafe living conditions! Terrible Management! read more

The management at this complex does not care about you. Maintenance can take weeks to come fix what needs to be done. They can in the spring to fix my roommate's shower and had to put a hole in my wall. They said they would be back within the next few days to fix it up and paint, but there is still a huge patch on my wall messed up from them. They are also renovating apartments while people are still living in them so they can just increase rent by over 200 dollars. Campus Lodge used to be the cute, affordable student living apartments and now I can't wait to get out of here. read more

This is what move in day looks like at campus lodge. Also I got charged just over $200 between cleaning fees and paint after moving out. All with no actual evidence of paint in need of repair. So did one of my roommates after I asked them. If this is what the apartment they tried to move me into looked like I'm not sure where the cleaning fee money is going. It seems this business passes their routine expenses on down to their tenants apparently, so read your lease carefully. Glad to be gone but I guess this is the door hitting me in the a** on the way out. read more

They have emergency maintenance workers that are up 24hrs incase they are needed but their policy doesn't include being locked out even thought every single one of them have a key. People break into cars and steal anything you leave in there often. One of my neighbors got a tire slashed a couple weeks ago. This place does not make you feel safe and will not help you when you are in need. I will not be resigning here and no one should sign to live here. The fridge in my apartment has been leaking since I moved in and they have came to "fix" it 3 times but nothing has changed. The facility is amazing.. UNTILLLLL you have any problems with maintenance. They will tell you to put in a work order, after that there is no response for days. You have to enter multiple work orders just to get noticed! Don't let the washer and dryer add ons fool you you will be a week without a washer or dryer. There is mold on my shower ceiling, that has sat without any cares from maintenance for what I would guess is years. They will throw in unreasonable fee's before and AFTER you move out. I am truly upset at the situation I just witnessed At campus lodge from Brett the "manager" If I could leave zero stars I honestly would, Brett the property manager is beyond disrespectful and unprofessional. Half of the staff does not know what they're doing or communicate within each other and will tell residence one thing when it's really the other. The moving process is beyond ridiculous being told They need to pay a certain amount, then once They come and pay that amount now They have a new amount to pay all of a sudden. zero stars. unlike every other student housing, they DO NOT HAVE GATING. The have arms in the entrance that move but they are broken 99% of the time due to non residents doing whatever to get in, and campus lodge having a low quality arm instead of a real gate. They do not have anywhere for bigger packages, they get thrown into a back office space and are so called "checked in" but if they miss a check in, and they always do, they'll blame you and said you've already taken it, or ups never delivered it, even if UPS shows their signature on the package pickup. It's May, and everyone's a/c is broken and some are getting window units. Our a/c is now leaking water onto the carpet and into the walls, and they will not clean up the water, which will eventually turn into mold. DEBORAH DOES NOT DESERVE HER JOB OR ANY LUCK AT ALL. Management doesn't care, probably because they get new management so often. They tend to be condescending and don't really care all that much. Maybe some of them do care but they definitely aren't efficient unless you bug them every single day multiple times. It took almost 4 MONTHS to respond to a MAINTENANCE. They promised to replace the already poorly conditioned furniture In the common area, but instead, they tried to charge everyone in the unit. Worst place I have ever lived. They do maintenance without telling you then lock your door and make you pay to get back in. I waiter almost a full month for my broken AC to get fixed. I was locked into the pool area during pool hours and was told to call police to get out and I would pay for the damages. I was charged 4x the amount to replace a card that the apartments didnt even use. The front gate was always broken. It took them months to get to maintenance requests. Do not live here. This place is disgusting. When my roommates & I moved in, the apartment was turned into us dirty. We had to clean extensively before ACTUALLY moving in. I left a move-in review and Andrew gave me a call a MONTH after we moved in and offered to THEN clean the apartment. At that point for what? We did not get a credit or anything, just a "sorry". The gate in the front might as well be removed. There is no sense of security on the property at all. Multiple residents complained about a man peeping through the windows. From what I know, this matter was not addressed. The "security" that watches at night clocks out at 6 PM. They are no where to be found past that time. When I was walking back from going grocery shopping, I had to call the police because someone's car window was broken. Expect to see police officers every other night. There is no sense of safety. Also, have your mail and packages sent to your parents' house, expect them to get lost. If you plan on cooking, don't, the stove gives off a concerning smell & for the longest, half of our stove was not working. Also, the AC was out toward the end of my stay here that took DAYS to fix during the summer. The dish washer has mold, so I wouldn't recommend using it. If you haven't signed that contract yet, RUN. If you have, I'm so sorry for what you're about to experience. There are better places than this place. read more

I called this property to inquire about renting 4 bedrooms. Everything was fine until I mentioned we had kids and then all of a sudden they couldn't offer anything to us. I pressed them because that's discrimination and as soon as I did they were willing to give me more information, but tried everything in their power to make us not qualify. Stove barely worked, the fire alarm would go off all the time for no reason.They moved in a new girl without telling me or my roommate, and she made living there a whole new type of hell. She brought her friend to live in there as well. Smoked in the house, damaged a lot of things, literally brought people that do METH over. Made it very very unsafe. The office did nothing. After complaining to the office they said they would come the next day, clean the entire apartment and fix all appliances. They also said they would deduct money off of their rent. Well 2 months later and they fixed a few appliances. The dryer still hasn't been fixed and the apartment was never cleaned. They also are now saying they can't deduct any rent? I love this property. I have lived here for three years and I can't imagine living anywhere else well finishing my college. The manager are amazing and always understanding. The leasing agents are super great, always willing to help with anything and the maintenance teams is fabulous, I could put in a stupid work order and they'll fix it for me with no problem. Would not recommend. Terrible email communication, if you want a response it often takes a week. It took them over 3 weeks to fix my dishwasher and I made numerous calls and visits to the office. When you move out they try to charge you with everything under the sun. They wanted to meet with me about my roommate situation so I send them my availability and then I get a later saying I am being relocating to another apartment. Like what was the point of trying to work with me? The renovations suck! I liked the apartment the way it was but then I was upgraded (downgraded) and don't get me started on the renovation process. My car keys got lost or stolen and that's when the dishwasher stopped working. The computers in the computer lab are often down so it defeats the purpose. The list could go on and on. After reading the previous reviews, i can claim Campus Lodge has stepped its game up! They just finished painting all the buildings and continue to put updated furniture and TVs in many units. Campus Lodge is the best deal financially for off-Campus student housing. The staff works diligently to communicate with tentants on what's going on around the grounds. I would not recommend anyone stay here. In the event you do, I would draw up legal papers for them to sign upon move in and move out. We paid a deposit for our son to stay there during school. He had a walkthrough done pre and post move out. There was also a verbal acknowledgement of all debts paid and that it would take 4-6 weeks to get the deposit back. 6 months go by and no deposit refund, but we do get a bill from the Hunter Warfield for collections. After some research, we found that they have done this to several past renters. I would avoid this hassle. read more
