Love classic book stores and vinyl. Staff was real cool. If you enjoy reading the classics, this is a good place to get your fix.

MBC is the stuff dreams are made of for a good book lover. It's one huge library expanding across the whole store and up and down flight of stairs, into mini mystery nooks. It's really a gem. Parking can be difficult, it's right off the main road so I usually park a few blocks away and walk. Plus no meter fees. I've never had a bad experience with the workers here, I've also never tried to sell any books and I feel like that's where some of their negative reviews come in. I'm always greeted with a smile and they're super attentive and helpful if you need help finding something. It's pretty easy to navigate the store, you just have to follow the signs and pay attention to their awesome hand made clues. You can tell they've put their heart and soul into making this book store what it is. Now I understand that some people say the prices and a little high. They're definitely still cheaper than if you went to Barnes and Noble, play the books are in excellent shape. I know there's cheaper websites online but there's those days where you just feel like walking aimlessly through MBC and finding a good book. Even if that means paying a few extra dollars, it's also helping out their business which I hope stays here forever.

Was waiting for my food order so decided to stop on this bookstore. It made my heart sigh. This store reminds me of the ones I used to go to back "in the day". Warm, worn wooden shelves, and staff that are ready to help but won't interrupt, especially if you have fallen into a book that has reached out and grabbed you. The top shelves are filled with hardcovers (ask for assistance please) and the lower ones are filled with paperbacks. I picked up a couple of books that caught me and plan on reading them this weekend as we are expecting some winter weather. I have been raving about this place to my friends and they will now be taking a trip to a store that lets you get lost in a good book. Let the road take you-who knows what you will fine among the stacks?

This is a beautiful old bookstore. It's very nostalgic. I could have spent hours just looking around.

I used to come to this bookstore as a kid/teen. It's nice to be back, peruse all the shelves, and dig for treasures.

A great independent book store that's been there forever and is big enough to get lost in.

Can you please give me an idea of what you pay for used CD's and used DVD's? Thank you.

We do not pay cash for CDs and DVDs. We get all of our music and movies from various consignment dealers who provide us with inventory. Their names and numbers are listed on our website. However, we are no longer taking CDs at all from any of our… Read more

Hi! We do not not sell prints and cards like that in store. We generally just sell greeting cards and music posters. Thank you for your inquiry!

I've been trying to consider thrift stores more so this would be a great place to start. However, I did bring in a car load of clothes and a van of furniture and they took everything. They were very nice people and I didn't mind giving them my Dear Mother's items considering they are helping others.

Hana Mission may not look like much from the outside, but it is a two-level thrift store with a…read moregreat selection of clothes at very reasonable prices. It is definitely not a luxury or high-end thrift store, but it is a great option for those who don't care much about designer labels and want to find good condition clothing and house items at a fraction of what you would pay elsewhere. The styles may not be the most fashionable or up-to-date, but a smart fashionista should have no problems creatively picking out pieces that will work for her (or him). With all the suspect donation trucks out there that supposedly goes to 'help' Veterans when a little digging shows poor stewardship of their donations and money, Hana is a great alternative. The thrift store is run to support their work in Paterson and other low-income areas, and to programs for substance abuse or at-risk children, a fact that some of their employees are rather proud of for good reason. I would rather my donations go to support local communities than the pockets for people who create 'non-profits' for their own gains. I recommend supporting this thrift store either with your money or with your donations.
