The Room was well lit and properly staffed and the Security Guard was fully in his role as the first point of contact being assertively welcoming, inviting, and showing us how to proceed using the smart and efficient high tech systems. The waiting area was clean, comfortable, and spacious and there were large screens keeping everyone updated with their place in line and which window to go to. The lady who helped my Mom was very professional and organized! She helped us update Mom's direct deposit info as requested and reassured is the reissued checks were on the way. We recieved the direct deposit yesterday and are so grateful for the staff for making the process very easy and pleasant! The security guard turned around and proactively asked the guy sitting next to us to see if he needed help. Before us, he was patiently asking a question from another African American lady. Wth! He really makes me think that they are doing racial profiling. Part ii, after waiting for one hour, we left the office. I called the SSA number and was told that the wait time was going to be 120 plus minutes. Since I only have today off. I searched around and found a place to upload docs. Meanwhile, I am still waiting for a call back from SSA.

It's not professional to lie to elderly/ disabled just to get them out of your office. They are still trying to get approved again after 2 months of no medical attention. She answered all of my questions clearly and patiently, even the ones I felt might have been basic. Most importantly, she was able to help my parents and made the process much easier for them. I truly appreciate her professionalism and support. DPSS is fortunate to have someone like her on their team.

But no shade at all for waiting in line. Bring chairs to wait in line. Wait time - Arrived at 7am (they open at 8am) to a line that wrapped around the building. Heard some came at midnight! But who knows. Received a QR code ticket by 9am at number 95! Didn't think there were 94 ppl ahead of us. But it was a live line online so you can always see your status. Was able to leave and run errands etc. Didn't get called til 4pm! (They close at 5pm). Only 3 workers there. The one we saw was VERY nice and SUPER HELPFUL. Spoke to him for about 5 min but our issue was resolved and payment was received 2 days later.

Not sure if that is the norm. I do have to say, the person who assisted us and the security were very helpful and very nice. The experience was surprisingly pleasant. The office is very outdated compared to the one in Fontana. But in reality that doesn't matter it's the service that makes the difference.
