I should give them zero stars bc they turned me away. My appointment was for 4:15. The road was closed so I had to take a detour. They called the tech down at 4:16 and she refused to see me. An ill patient bc the tech wanted to go home. Black women are dying by the dozens and the people in healthcare have no empathy. HORRIBLE. NO EMPATHY. read more

Montclair Radiology is a vast vast improvement from American imaging that used to be at this location at journal square. Compared to that business, Montclair is leaps and bounds better. I made an appointment for the next morning really easily. They texted me a reminder even though it was for the next day. I was told to be there 15min early and when I was running late they called me to make sure I was on my way. When I got there, there were a few people ahead of me. So I waited a few minutes there but after they took my info and cards, I was promptly seen. Maybe it was because my apt was at 8am. From start to finish it took me one hour to get a mammogram. I think that's a standard allotment of time for any apt. read more

This place really stinks now. Radiologist found a nodule on my lung, and didn't even note the size. Size really matters. My doctor's office this morning asked them to pull up the x-ray and get back to her with the size. At 5 pm I called, had to lie to get them to transfer me to the office from some call center, and all radiologists are gone for the day. They really are awful. Extremely nice staff. The only confusing part was I was told they couldn't make a appointment for an x-ray so I went into the office for a walk in and at the desk I was told I had to make an appointment for that afternoon. So I had to go home and then come back at 2 PM, and I went into a separate building. The staff was wonderful in both buildings the process was so easy and so fast and they were incredibly efficient. Now knowing the process I would certainly go back to them again. They offer much more than just x-rays they offer a plethora of services and they're in a great location very accessible from the path. read more

Husband needed an urgent ultrasound. They managed to get us in, but the woman on the phone was a real pill about it. After he had the ultrasound, he was told that the radiologist would tell his PCP the results. Not at all clear why they couldn't tell my husband the results of his own ultrasound. The PCP called us to report that he had heard from the radiologist and that my husband had a blood clot, but the radiologist didn't tell him what kind of blood clot...kind of important so the PCP knows what to prescribe! PCP kept calling Montclair Radiology to get the necessary info and it kept going to voicemail even though they weren't closing for another 4 hours. Utterly bizarre and very irresponsible. read more

Staff are miserable. They are not courteous so I went somewhere else. My appointment was on Christmas eve and they called me 15 min before and after telling them I was on my way they called me 15 minutes after. Very rude and unprofessional. That's not where my insurances money is going . Hire better staff maybe invest in younger staff their more open read more

I made a mistake with out reading reviews. Please do not go here, i booked an appointment for a reason. They made me wait over an hour to see and reception has no interest in helping visitors as they said their printer was broke and i need to wait for papers to fill out. I kept asking whats wrong and the only reason they said was "your are all set waiting for technician to call you". This is stupid. read more

I just turned 40 so my doctor sent me to Montcliar Radiology for my first mammogram. It was quick and easy to make an appointment. The staff was very friendly and the woman who performed the mammogram was kind and made me feel very comfortable getting my first mammogram. She was very communicative and helped me understand what to do to make the procedure quick and painless. The office was very quick to share my mammogram results and recommendations for future mammograms with both me and my doctor. I would recommend Montclair Radiology to anyone in need of a mammogram and will be happy to return next year for another mammogram or any other time I'm in need of their services. read more

Worst place. Their communication with the patients is so suckish. You would be getting several calls that everything is good, and the last min get a call that some sort of authorization is needed ,change of site needs to be made, all these last minute changes after being told that everything is set and good to go. I had a very poor experience here. If I could give 0 stars I would. I had a 12:30 appointment, I wasn't seen until 1:40. As soon as the MRI was finished, the table pulled out of the machine and the technician asked if I was ok, I said I was and she said she was going to take a call. I went to change my clothes and the technician disappeared. The receptionist didn't know where she went or if I was even finished. She asked if I had the MRI completed, I said yes and she said "well I guess you're done then". I found it to be very unprofessional read more

I have visited this Jersey City location twice before writing this review. I am very surprised at the low ratings. 1st time I called from the doctor's office and they said come in at 6:30 pm because they closed at 7. We arrived - filled out paperwork and waited 5 minutes. Staff was very nice. X-ray was done and we were out by 7 pm. Next visit - had to have an MRI done. Called the day before and was able to secure an appointment at 7:45 pm. They close at 10 they said. We were asked to get there a bit earlier to go through questions and paperwork. Waited 10 minutes to be seen and we were done by 8:20. Technician and receptionist were very nice. Place is clean & modern. I wouldn't hesitant to recommend this place. read more

No working elevator. Injured and elderly people are forced to take two flights of stairs because they refuse to fix their busted elevator

I accompanied my mother here as part of a routine mammogram and breast density test. My mother is in her late 70s, not very mobile and has dementia, so to say that getting her out of the house is not easy is an understatement. So when Montclair Radiology called the night before to confirm our contact number for contactless check-in, I felt a little reassured. "Okay, this place is covering their bases" I thought. (The number they had on record for us was my parents' landline, but I gave them my cellphone number for the check-in since my parents don't have a smartphone.) I asked the woman on the phone, if it was okay if I came with my mother, since she's not very mobile. She seemed a little hesitant, but I had never been to this place before, so I hoped that it might be easy for my mom to navigate or that one of the staff would help her, since they didn't seem to want me to accompany her. was only the beginning of our nightmare. The day of the appointment, around 10 in the morning (our appointment was at 12:30) they call to ask me to send my mother's insurance card and ID in advance. Great. I'm excited that we can get all the paperwork done in advance so the appointment can go smoother. We arrive a little early (the appointment was 12:30 but we arrived in the parking lot at 11:30). My dad suggested we call to say we are early, in case we can be seen. At first I don't like that idea (I don't like to be a bother) but I do it anyway. No one answers, but I leave a voicemail with my name and number. 12:30, and still no text from them for the contactless check-in. I call and leave a voicemail again. No response. Finally, I call for the third time at 1:11PM, where I finally get an answer. I tell the woman on the phone that I never got a text for my mother's appointment, and we have been waiting in the parking lot for two hours. She tells me that she will check the list, and she informs me that my mother was dropped from the list for being a no-show! I ask her, how is it possible that she was a no-show, when I made sure to fill out the paperwork, send them pictures of her insurance card and ID, right before coming, and then not show up? How could she be a no-show, when we called three times, left voicemails, and no one called back or responded? The woman, now sensing my agitation, introduces herself as the Assistant Manager and keeps apologizing, saying that the link for contactless check-in was sent to our landline, and when no one responded to the LANDLINE, my mother was dropped from the list, even though they called the NIGHT BEFORE to confirm my cellphone number. I ask the Assistant Manager why bother to call the night before to confirm a number, that they won't bother to use? On top of that, I had put my mother's mobile number as my number in the registration form I had filled out and sent prior to coming, so (assuming they did their job correctly) they should have had my cellphone number in two places! The Assistant Manager told us to come straight in, after assuring me that my mother will be seen right away. We are greeted at the door by the tech. She sees how unsteady my mother is, so when I ask if I can come along, she doesn't protest. We make our way to the elevator (the condition of the building is FILTHY, which I know isn't entirely Montclair Radiology's fault, but it doesn't make a good impression). We are finally in the area where they do the mammogram. This time I can't go in with my mother. Okay, I think, what could possibly go wrong? I can't really tell you everything that happened in there, as I wasn't there, but my mother told me afterward, that they took her temperature in the middle of the procedure. In case you're reading this review later, it's currently May 21, 2020, and we're still in the middle of the Covid-19 Pandemic. My mother's temperature should have been the first thing that was taken. Secondly, while I was sitting there waiting for my mother to come out, the tech came out and asked me "Is this for a regular mammogram?" I remember just staring at her. Isn't SHE the one who's supposed to know? Shouldn't she be looking at the doctor's prescription (which I had sent in advance that morning) to see what kind of mammogram she should be doing? Finally my mother gets done. She needs a breast density test, so we sit, because the sonogram room is apparently filthy. (Mind you, there are no other patients other than my mother, so there was plenty of time to have someone clean up the crumpled pillows and bed sheets on the cot and to spray everything down with disinfectant.) We wait, and finally get it done. I would tell you more in detail about it, but when I tried to type more Yelp cut off my review for being too long. So I'm going to stop it here so the review makes sense. Bottom line: unprofessional, dirty, don't go here! read more

I ask to speak with manager and I hear through phone said that she's busy. I go because am being late for another appointment. Great experience with MRI in Journal Square. When I called to schedule an appointment my call was answered almost immediately. Although my initial appointment was scheduled in the evening, when they called to confirm I was able to move it up to earlier in the day. There is a parking lot diagonally across the street and they validate the parking. The office staff is very professional, the MRI technician was also very professional and the place seemed clean. I received a CD of my MRI to take to my doctor that same day and they told me they would send my doctor a report within 24 hours. read more
