I would rate them zero stars if I could. New Jersey Imaging Network, Hoboken is extremely disorganized, callous, and gives incorrect advice to patients. My wife is currently in extreme pain from severe migraines. She saw both an internist and a specialist, and both prescribed the same MRI. This center managed to mishandle her file to such an extent that we still do not know if she will get the imaging she needs on time. Here is the timeline of their failure: 1) They mishandled the initial pre-authorization from the internist. 2) When the specialist prescribed the same MRI, New Jersey Imaging Network recommended we call insurance to cancel the previous request. This was terrible advice. 3) They never followed up on the new request while lying to my wife that the pre-authorization was in progress. The negligence is stunning. I got the insurance company and New Jersey Imaging Network on a conference call today. The Center tried to blame my wife for having a complicated file. Then, they admitted nonchalantly that their pre-authorization team only looks at the first page of the file. They misled a patient in pain for over a week simply because they did not read past page one. The staff here needs to be more empathetic and thorough. I hope management reads this and fixes their broken process immediately. read more

The offices are very modern and clean. I had to have an MRI with contrast which I had done once in the city and it was a horrible experience so I wasn't looking forward to having it done again. At Hoboken radiology you have a private room with TV to relax while you drink the contrast. The woman who did the procedure was amazing and caring and sent me home with a goodie bag of warm socks and PJs. It was such a kind gesture that I still tear up when I think about it. Sadly, as a chronically ill patient it's rare in a medical setting to be treated so well. I'm so happy to have found this location in Hoboken. read more

Scheduling system was not performing and I had to be rescheduled. Okay, not a problem. Arrive to the new 3pm appointment and complete paperwork. When 330pm rolls around and the staff have no clue what is going on, it was time to leave - everyones time is valuable! Never had X-ray taken. Rescheduled for next day. Arrive for 1130am appointment only to discover paperwork completed from previous day is lost. Had I not taken back the Rx from doctor, that would have been lost, too. This place use to be great and has fallen out of grace. Will not be back. The technician that took the X-rays needs a better bedside manner along with improving his communication skills. He also wanted me to stand on the X-ray table to get the capture of right foot. What??!! I don't think so. read more

I have been going to this center for a few sonograms. The person that runs the place, Gary, told me they can't do a breast sonogram unless I have a mammogram first. I don't do them because I don't think they are healthy in the long run. I do thermograms instead. I was told that their tech was not skilled to handle my matter so I would have to go elsewhere. On another visit, I was told to drink at least 16 ounces of water one-half hour before my visit. After waiting about 20 minutes I had to use the bathroom. I had to wait another 15 minutes before I was seen and had to wait to use the bathroom after the sonogram was done. Time to find another center. read more

An appointment was made for my daughter at this place by her primary dr due to an accident that she had at her school and when I called to move up her appointment the receptionist was rude! Terrible place! My daughter just brought my granddaughter there for an ultra sound. The woman was Horrible! My daughter was nervous of course, the baby was crying, and the woman was a B-t- h!! This is Not a place for Mommy's to bring their children to! My daughter said the woman was not nice at all, and wouldn't even talk or say anything! Mommy's beware of this place! Really bad experience. Referred by my doctor for an ultrasound and booked an appointment by phone a week in advance. When i showed up, they were not able to find anything by my name and i had to wait for another week to get the appointment. The receptionist did not even put my appointment down but confirmed it to me. Please move to online booking or make your phone reservations more reliable. read more

Went today with my newborn daughter for an ultrasound. Staff is very nice, well the male in the reception area was very nice, polite & courteous. My appointment was at 3:15 & we were out by 3:50. Wait time is not bad at all. I really liked Hoboken Radiology, today was my first time there. The only negative thing I have to say is that there isn't a changing table to change diapers on newborns. Very inconvenient to wait around, to go in a room with a child that pooped :-/ if newborns, toddlers are accepted at this facility, then a diaper changing table should be in the restroom. I tried to make an appointment for a patient to have an x-ray of her foot and was told that there were no availabilities because a CT scan was being performed. I found it highly unusual for a facility of their size to not have enough techs to accommodate more than one study at a time as most radiology facilities have different staff for CT/MRI as opposed to x-ray and ultrasound. In addition, most radiology facilities accept walk-ins and do not require set appointments for routine x-rays. That said, they were more than willing to have an attending radiologist give a preliminary (aka: wet) read with the patient still there. But I could not comment on whether or not this would actually happen. read more

Been here 3-4 times in the span of about 2 months. Every time I am required to fill out the same information that I provided the previous times. I'm floored that in this day and age, with them computer machines and all the technology that goes along with that, they can't figure out how to store records....like everyone else. Once a year I visit Hoboken Radiology as per my doctor's orders for a pelvic ultrasound. I choose Hoboken Radiology for many positive reasons. First, they validate your parking, in the municipal parking garage. Secondly, they employ the kindest people I have ever seen. The director saw me using a walking cane, and volunteered to bring me my car after my visit, so I wouldn't have to walk back. I took him up on it too! And lastly, the honor appointment times. I have never had to wait more than a few minutes. The place is spotlessly clean. Even though Hoboken is far from my home, I will always go to Hoboken for my ultra sounds and scans. I went here for a CAT scan recently, the pre booking was all fine, I went in to pick up the lovely drink ahead of the scan and all was good once I arrived for my appointment everything changed, I had an appointment at 5:00 I was not seen till 6:00, when I asked why I had waited so long the Tec told me this was normal and that they always overbooked, I then had to wait another 15 mins for a CD that I was told would be 5. The tec who did the scan was pleasant and efficient but otherwise the experiment totally sucked, bored receptionists in cell phones who don't give a ... I would like to add that after the review I was called by the radiology office and asked to name names so the company could take action kind of creepy ? None of this made any difference to my experience I was there for 1:45mins no emergency was evident nothing was explained of this ilk so I conclude they overbook as nothing out of the ordinary appeared to be happening read more

I've been to Hoboken Radiology a few times for ultrasounds. For my ultrasound visits, Melissa was my ultrasound tech. She was professional and very nice. My last visit, March 4, 2020, was for a ct scan and Melanie, was my radiologist. Words cannot describe how sweet and professional this lady was. It was a late appointment and she was patient and made me feel comfortable. I was a little nervous because it was my first ct scan and it was for my head so it's a bit nerve wracking but she made me feel at ease. I've never had an issue with any of the ladies at this office. The most unprofesional billing service I've ever seen. I paid $595.00 with my HSA card and they billed to my insurance with the wrong date of services. When my HSA card asked for a payment proof, the dates never coincided. I had to pay the HSA card the $595 dollars again because they never resolved their huge mistake. So I had to write something up because these guys were super awesome, and if you your'e like me... you're gonna want to know about this place. My doc sent me here for a chest Cat Scan. now I'm not a big fan of the whole radiation thing. My wife and I have read a lot on the topic especially because of our kids. when I told this to my doc he told me he recommends his patients go here because they supposedly have some special equipment no one else in the area has. From what he told us, it reduces the amount of radiation used and the quality of work they do is top notch. I checked their website and read up on what they do... and low and behold my doc was write. a good thing to know not only for yourself.. but like I said.. I'm a parent.. and in this arena...less is a big thing. Place was nice and clean. Staff was nice and I was in and out of there in just under 30 minutes.. Thank you Dr. B for the recommendation... She barked her orders at me- yelled "arm up, no other arm, no scoot back, I don't know how else to explain this to you?!!?" when I was feeling so sick and every move I made obviously hurt. I was referred here by my son's pediatrician to ultrasound his little breech hips. It was easy to make an appointment and I followed the clear instructions both the receptionist and the website had provided for parking 3 blocks down at the municipal lot. (Parking ticket was later validated for 2 hours at the front desk). The office is located on the ground floor (walk straight from the entrance). The receptionist had me fill out 3 pages with clear instructions and made copies of insurance card along with prescription. I was summoned into the exam room within 15 minutes of the appointment time. There were 2 technicians helping to prep the machine prior to the doctor coming in. Their bedside manner was pretty awesome as newborns are fussy and FTMs like me are over-sensitive when it comes to the wellness of their babies. The doctor made the exam swift and efficient and answered my questions patiently. Bottom line: I would recommend Hoboken Radiology for your ultrasound needs. read more

I arrived at the Clinic on time, there were two employees at the front desk, one on the computer, the other, on her cellphone, neither, of the two looked up as I stood there, finally, the one on the cellphone looked up and addressed me, "Do you have an appointment?", no, Hello, no, Good Afternoon, nothing, her demeanor, immediately, was a deterrent for me to return here. I waited, not much, I was called by Melissa {the Technician}, I found her to be cold, direct, and bothered; after exchanging some words explaining the procedure, I proceeded to do as I was instructed; let me add, that a Transvaginal Ultrasound merits for a Technician to get as much information as possible before proceeding, she, did not. She inserted the ultrasound wand without compassion, and when she realized the pain I was experiencing she retracted and added lubricating gel; to make matters worse, I never saw her put a condom over the wand as required. A day, later, I am, still, in pain ..... God, help them, if, because of her ineptness, I should experience anything negative. read more

I was directed to go to Hoboken Radiology for intense lower back pain. Sometimes my days of work would hurt so bad I come home crying. I had an appointment to try and figure out the cause of my back pain. I called them to let them know that because of traffic I would be five minutes late to be courteous. They cancelled my appointment immediately without being able to offer me an appointment anytime close. Their reasoning was my paper work would take 15 minutes. I already had my paper work done and explained that on the phone. Now I have to go through another week of pain until I can get an appointment elsewhere. read more

The most unpleasant experience I have had in the recent times. I call them to schedule an appointment for my CT scan and fix the date and time. Later that same day, someone from their office calls me to tell me that I have to move my appointment to a different time but same date, which I was okay with. Then again, they call me to ask if they can change the time one more time. By this time, I was so annoyed of their managing skills. I agree that things could change but they called me twice on the same day to reschedule my appointment times twice. On the day of my Scan, I was there 15 mins ahead of the appointment time and I was told that I have to wait for an hour as they are experiencing delays. This made my opinion on the Center way worse. After waiting for about 45 mins, I was called in. The Radiologist/Technician was nice to me. I was immediately hooked up with the IV Contrast since my scan required it. After the scan, I felt real discomfort and swelling at the site of my IV near my elbow. I had an idea of what that was as I have some medical knowledge. I immediately called in the Technician to tell him what I was feeling but he said it should be okay soon. After I go home, my hand was completely swollen, confirming my fear - IV Infiltration. The Contrast has leaked out of veins into my tissues and that had caused swelling. I found out that this is not something usual but at the same time, not something that was seen before. I was also sure that it was because of the rate at which the IV Contrast was administered. I immediately called the Center to tell them my symptoms and none of them has sound knowledge of what to tell me. It's been five days since my scan and the swelling and they didn't even bother to call and check on me. So careless and poor management. Right from getting the appointment to the end, my experience was totally unpleasant and would never go there again. read more

Awful from to start to finish. I made my appoint on a Monday and asked for a confirmation email. They stated "They do not do email", but would call me the day before to confirm. They never did so I followed up on the day of my appointment and they had no record of appointment. They were nice enough to fit me in around the same time as my original appointment. The technician was very helpful, which is who is saving this from a one star review. Technician assured me my results would be sent over the following day to my doctor. I followed up 4 days later and the administrative assistant I spoke with said they cannot send results without permission from the doctor (who sent me there) and then asked me to get the fax number for the doctor who referred me to Hoboken Radiology. Very unhelpful, borderline rude, and no idea what is going on or what is being communicated to patients internally. This is the only review I've ever left on Yelp. Please do not go here. read more

The first time I came here was a year ago, when I was diagnosed with cancer and needed a PET scan. I got an appointment right away, the staff were so gentle, thorough, and attentive - making a difficult experience bearable and compassionate. Their reading was accurate and the only place whose scans are accepted by Memorial Sloan Kettering hospital, they usually do their own scans, but they accepted the scans and readings from Hoboken Radiology. A year later, several days ago, I found out my the cancer returned and needed an emergency PET scan. Memorial hospital didn't have availability for three days, so we called Hoboken Radiology. They remembered us and we're able to take us the next morning, Saturday at 8:45 am. Jeanie worked with our hospital to get the necessary approvals and worked with our insurance company to ensure that everything was set in time for us the following day. The staff were so incredible when we came, we didn't even have to wait to start the process. They took me in right away, and Jeremy, the technician, was so gentle with my fear of needles. He had such a light hand that I didn't even feel anything!! I would come back to him for every blood test - and technician last time when I came was wonderful as well. He gave me warm blankets, was so respectful and kind and patient. Since I had to fast, last year and this time, after the scan, they offered me snacks and juice, and were so gentle. We highly recommend Hoboken Radiology! Their fastidious staff and accurate scans and care helped expedite treatment for aggressive cancer and they truly saved my life - twice in two years. Most of all, a special thank you to Gary, the Executive Director without his hands on leadership and compassion care none of this would have happened so smoothly and with great care. If I could give this place zero stars I would. Horrible place and staff. Nice facility but the staff is not empathetic and there's lack of communication. Had to bring my infant in for abdominal ultrasound of digestive issues. I was questioned by 4 different staff members if my child had fasted for 8 hrs. Um hello my pediatrics office and I told you my child only two months old several times and is not supposed to fast. Get your info together people. Then when I asked if I could find a place to nurse my child since we had been waiting for a half hr for the appointment and I knew hunger was coming, I was told to use the bathroom. Um ewww. You are a medical facility, help me out here to nourish my child. Get this though: during the ultrasound, after the nurse has tried running the test and the dr has tried running the test, the dr decides my child needs a full tummy for the test and doesn't want me to use the bathroom or lobby out front (what this nurse had suggested) and asks her if there's a private room or unused room to nurse. She then points me to an unused room next door to the room we are in, used for odd ends and some storage. Okayyyyy, so there was a place for me to feed my child other than the bathroom. Anyway afterwards, they bring us back and try the tests again. It's taking forever. I ask some questions they don't answer me. Hello? I'm the mom here you are going to just ignore me? Then I look at the time and realize my two hr parking spot will expire in half an hr. Yep that's how long this is taking for a routine ultrasound. I mention about my car to them, they ignore me. Then they want me to feed my baby while they run another test for better results. I don't know if you can picture how ridiculous this looked. Me up on the table nursing my child while they did an ultrasound on his tummy. It was absolutely awkward and uncomfortable for me and my child. Then the dr comes in and he ignores me when I ask questions, And he makes me feel bad for not having a bottle to give my child bc they could take it while the test is happening, and much easier. What the f? You guys are really being demeaning here and I had no idea that this would take so long, and that I was supposed to bring a bottle of pumped milk. No one told me this over the phone before I came to the appointment, just had a phone message about the incorrect fasting info from them. Talk about feeling like sh*t for only wanting to nurse my child. It's a struggle to even get to the point to nurse your child so don't make a person feel like crap for their decisions. Then i mention again about my car, and that I need to call my husband to take care of my other child bc this is taking so long, no response from these clowns. Then the dr is really trying to get a reading and really putting pressure on my baby's stomach. It's turning red, my child is in extreme pain and howling. The dr annoyingly asks if I have a pacifier. I say all my things are in the other room, remember? I go get it. Come back my baby's face is mottled red and nothing can calm him. I break down in tears and just say can we take a break? Look at how much pain he's in. They finally stop and tell me my child is too gassy, they can't get a reading. The tests are inconclusive. What a waste of time and money to come to this place. I'm so disappointed, frustrated, and was just drained after that debacle. Come at your own risk. It's ok for adults and bigger children I guess, but absolutely not baby friendly and they have no idea what they are doing. I'm updating this review bc I spoke with the director/co-owner who was very concerned and embarrassed by my experience and the treatment of my child. He is working with his staff to provide better care, concern, and empathy for patients' situations and to provide better baby friendly services at their office. read more

They went above and beyond to help me get my CT done. They even told me about my insurance coverage before I had my scan. I already knew I'd have a bill due to my deductible but it was great hearing my bill wouldn't be TOO high and also being forewarned rather than being surprised was nice. I went to this place to have an ultrasound. I was told to be there 15 minutes prior to my appt. My appt was at 7:30am, I arrived at 7:15am. The place was closed, they opened exactly at 7:30am. I was allowed inside around 7:35am. The staff is not friendly, or polite. I said good morning and no one answered. The lady who did my sonogram was rude, unprofessional, didn't introduce herself, didn't greet me. She told me to move toward her and my body wasn't straight. She moved my body herself in rough manner. Then, she gave an order and I didn't do it correctly and in a nasty way she yelled "never mind". I won't recommend Hoboken Radiology to anyone. I won't go back either. Staff needs customer service training, I noticed they all were in a bad mood. read more
