    garbage is collected once a week-should be twice a week

    DEAD RAT IN WALL, GARBAGE OVERFLOWING, MANAGER OVERCHARGES After 8 months of 1 bedroom at Monte Vista Morgan Hill with 10 year-old carpet, we moved to 2 bedroom. Humera, the manager, put new carpet for the next tenant in our 1 bedroom, but pressured us to pay "for carpet cleaning $300." For the 2 bedroom, Humera knew there was dead rat in the wall and put 2 fragrance devices to cover smell. Manager refused to inspect unit when we complained of smell--which caused us nausea and vomiting. We hired our own dead animal service who diagnosed "probable dead rat in wall--the smell of death." Manager made no attempt to give us another unit and brushed us off with "its just the city flushing the sewer pipes." Public Works said, "There is no sewer block." We gave written notice to move after just 2 weeks, Then Humera said, "Oh I could give you a Model unit now." Too little, too late--only cares about money--not service--not health and Safety. The photo on website show Models--you will not get that. The sinks and counters are from 1970 and need replacing--instead they paint them (glazing--seriously, no luxury here--only luxury price). Piles of garbage overflow the bins since they only pick up one time per week--too cheap to pick up two times as needed. Fleas bite you going to your car due to everyone having 1-2 dogs.

    want to take a moment to recognize Edgar, one of the maintenance team members at Vida at Morgan…read moreHill, because he truly went above and beyond in a way that deserves public appreciation. Edgar not only works in the community, he also lives here--and it really shows in how much care and pride he takes in his work. On a morning when management was out and another team member was sick, Edgar stepped up immediately to help me during a very stressful situation involving sanitation concerns in front of my home. I was understandably upset and worried about my dog's health, and Edgar handled everything with professionalism, compassion, and urgency. He made sure my entire walkway and front area were thoroughly cleaned and even steam-cleaned to ensure it was safe. He didn't hesitate, didn't cut corners, and didn't make me feel like I was asking too much. He genuinely cared. Edgar (along with Angel) ensured everything was handled properly and helped de-escalate a really overwhelming moment for me. What truly stands out about Edgar is his heart. You can tell he enjoys what he does and that he does it with integrity and kindness. Even on a separate occasion when I was frustrated again, he noticed and immediately stepped in to help--once more making sure my property was taken care of without hesitation. Edgar is reliable, compassionate, hardworking, and a true asset to this community. Having someone like him here brings a sense of trust and comfort, and that means everything--especially in a community like this. He and his dog EZ are such a lovely presence, and I'm genuinely grateful to have him here. Thank you, Edgar, for caring the way you do. Vida at Morgan Hill is better because of you.     This community is something else. Other people should not ruin it for everyone else. Especially…read morewhen there own STAFF does not follow these rules as I have witnessed first hand the maintenance guy Jose eat and drink alcohol there!! At least make sure your staff follow these rules.Kids that are well under 14 with NO adult supervision and this is what they choose to enforce. Not the kids playing in the middle of the street!     Murphy Ranch has gone down hill! I used to lived there but I ended up getting a house and moved…read moreout. I still have family and friends living there and nothing has changed. Staff there doesn't follow the same rules as residents and do whatever they please. They even mark open parking spaces that are meant for residents with "Reserve", aside from their already assigned parking spot, for themselves and their families living with them. They claim its for vendors but vendors never park there and instead vendors are parked in open spots that are meant for residents. Meanwhile Residents only get one assign spot and have to battle it out with other residents for the remaining open spots or else we have to park on the street. They can break all the rules but it's ok for them because they're staff, Im guessing. They get special privileges according to them. Maintenance there respond to emergencies when ever they feel like it, but if they are on vacation they will get upset for calling and tell you tough luck! Isn't there suppose to be someone always on call? Maintenance guy has also shown up to other residents home smelling like alcohol and nothing has ever been done about it. Doesn't seem that management (FPI) or ownership (FCH) cares to fix anything at this point. See for yourself if you ever get a chance to live here.
