It's an island above ground platform, with trains going both directions, accessible from the middle and no gates to enter or exit. That being said, it never seems as busy as it should be and is a bit hidden, and hasn't been upgraded to the new signage standards of the newer stations (it's especially important here since taking the wrong train means going to Santa Monica instead of Long Beach or vice/versa). Some landmarks visible from the station are the Hope+Flower apartment complex, the Unicorn museum, and the graffiti decorated unfinished Oceanwide Plaza Towers. I used it on Primary Election Day (free rides on all Metro trains/buses) to transfer from the A Line to the E line, going in the same direction.

It used to be that you could see Staples Center right when you exit here, but due to the recent construction of high rise apartments, that's not possible anymore. The Fashion District and L.A. Live are also well within walking distance from this station. I highly recommend taking the metro if you're not a fan of driving into the heavy L.A. traffic during peak hours. Remember to check the Metro if you're getting on the right train. The light blue dot on from means it is the Expo Line!

You can connect with the Metro Blue (A) and Expo Line (E) lines on the upper platform or the Red (B) and Purple (D) on the lower platforms not to mention the Silver (J) line above ground. There are tap stands and gates at every entrance and exit, even between switch and when you tap between trains it simple "Transfers" and doesn't reduce your fare at all. I think I had three transfers from near Studio City to NoHo to this station to the Blue line the other day... Was kind of cool! Definitely enjoy going green and riding metro when I can. I did here a rumor that the new K (Pink) Line might extend over to here as well at some point which would be pretty great. It's often busy here and the Expo and Blue are constantly running. The Red and Purple lines don't run as frequently as the others and as the day goes on, but it's about a 10 minute wait usually until after 5 PM where things shift and by night maybe every 15 to 30 minutes. I believe eventually Metro and this station will get back to later hours again and eventually run all night. Great Metro staff and the most you'll see at any station other than Union station. You can catch trains and/or exit from through The Bloc shopping center or across the street on the corner of 7th & Flower St.

Public transportation in Los Angeles, California…read more.. We don't have subways in Hawaii. That's why mainland transportation system is fascinating to me. It's organized and efficient! We had to use the Metro because parking at Exposition Park was sold out per information on an email. Tim knew that the 7th Street Station in Downtown LA would get us to the concert. We parked around 6th and Flower in a metered street parking. It's free after 10pm. Uhg. It's better than parking in a paid lot. We got Tap Cards at a kiosk, entered the station, hopped on the Metro, and got to Exposition Park in no time! Note: it's not the cleanest nor the safest. We just walked quickly and maintained awareness of our surroundings.

The message is Walt's opening day speech being sent out over & over again. Beyond that, this is probably my least favorite train station. I feel like it gets incredibly crowded & it's made even worse by people trying to walk to the nearby bathroom. It's just too crowded of an area for there to be a train station. I would highly recommend getting on at another station like Tomorrowland or Main Street. The stations there are more roomy & don't hit right up to a busy foot traffic path.

There's a popcorn cart where you can get seasonal popcorn buckets. Benches are nearby to wait or enjoy a break. Restrooms are by mint julep walk up window. There's a nice view of the water where the steamboat and pirate ship journey. Haunted mansion at this stop. Adventure, frontier and bayou lands nearby. Indiana jones, jungle cruise, ride near this stop. Travels around the park for full tour.

Forget all the stereotypes and awful things you've heard about California public transit. You hear of how little there is and how nasty they are. You hear that while people say California is a car culture state. While both those things are true the new LAX Metro Transit Center is a marvelous hub of public transportation. Built in mind to service the thousands of people who'll come in for the summer Olympics in 2028 this transport hub will remain long after the tourists leave and it'll become a central and integral part of public transport for Los Angelenos. Everything is shiny and clean. Large swathes of steel and glass give everything an open air feel. The security patrolling every 50 feet or so means the place feels secure and seen. The large shuttle docks makes for easy understanding of where the buses are going. And once the people mover or sky tram or whatever LAX will call it connects to this transit center going into LAX will become so convenient. No more fighting traffic to get in. Simply take a monorail over to each terminal. I've already used it several times to go to LAX without the sky tram and it was convenient. It'll only get better once that's implemented. Most Americans who've travelled abroad romanticize train stations and public transit, and rightfully so. When we lack something that feels so integral to public spaces it's hard not to yearn for it. But with LAX Metro Transit Center and the future lines connecting through it we can start romanizing our own lives here in California.

A main Metro A Line stop if you're wanting to be in the Chinatown area. This station is near many…read morelocal businesses, including shops, many food places, low key tourist spots, or if you want to walk to Union Station, if you feel like getting some steps in for about a mile walk. This station has three levels: Street level, Second level for ticket purchase, and Third level for the trains. There's escalators and stairs here, and an operating elevator. Daytime hours there's a small pack of people waiting for trains, probably more on the weekends. It does have that urban feel if you happen to be here on off-peak hours. Didn't see any ambassadors at this station. Just stay mindful as you're still in the downtown area. To/from Union Station from here is about a 10 minute train ride.

This particular line as supposed to have extended out to Santa Monica by 2016 in 2012. Ten years on, not one new station on this major thorough fare has been completed. This line remains a great option for traveling between Koreatown and downtown Los Angeles or Union Station. New trains have been added. There's more space to travel with bike, strollers, luggage and such other items. There are charging ports. They are still quite clean.

It opened in June 2023, one of 3 brand new underground DTLA stations servicing the newly reconfigured A and E lines. It is pretty far underground, so the working elevators were useful. Normally we pass right by it, since it's just a stop on our way to Little Tokyo, Chinatown, or Pasadena. But this time, we needed to go to Sunday mass at the Cathedral so got off here. Since you would head NE, taking the exit to go over the pedestrian bridge would save one having to wait for a stoplight.
