The negative reviews on here are ridiculous. I have been a patient if Dr. Hart's for 15 years. My family has too. I hadn't been in for awhile and was experiencing pain. I called Monday, got in Tuesday morning. Michelle is one of the best in any medical profession. So kind, gentle, has great energy and explained everything. Dr. Hart was out so Dr. Rodriguez took care of me. She was also so kind and explained everything. In addition to that, she was constantly concerned about my paid and comfort. My experience has been very horrible and glad that I am no longer serviced here. Overall knowledge, work ethics, prioritization, and service are all poor. Staff has no sense of urgency and lack of attention to detail. The dentures and partial were both fitted so poorly. The bottom partial was missing the molar teeth when the oral surgeon was getting ready to pop them into my mouth after the extraction. When I went back to Dr. Hart and pointed this out to her, I saw her disappointment with the technician who took the impression. The technician in turn gave me a dirty look as if I told on her instead of apologizing and owning up to her mistakes. I had just undergone extraction and graph procedure when I had to go for a follow up. While Dr. Hart was taking the partial off, it was still sore, so I asked her to be careful. Instead, she yanked the whole bottom partial with force rather than being gentle. Take note, if you are scheduled for an appointment at 1 pm, DO NOT SHOW UP 15 minutes early as directed or requested as they tell you because what they fail to tell you, is that their doors are closed between 12 and 1, so if you showed up at 1245, you won't be able to get in until 1 anyway. This does not even include the scenarios when they failed to coordinate with other specialists like for example, I was scheduled for extraction with another surgeon, but yet, I had to make sure that the partials were ready prior to the extraction which was not initiated by Montecito at that time. read more

Dr. Hart takes on work that should be referred out to the appropriate specialists. I had two root canals done by her. At the time, I wasn't familiar with endodontists and didn't question it when she said she could perform the root canals. However, she simply doesn't have the experience or the equipment that endodontists have. I now have to deal with the aftermath of her work. The root canal she performed on my front tooth is now requiring apicoectomy (a surgery where the root is accessed through the gum) because she failed to clean the full root canal. The leftover infection has eaten away at my bone. I have had another dentist and two endodontists confirm this issue and point out the poorly done root canal. The other root canal that was done was done on a molar. She spent hours on it (something that usually takes an endodontist about an hour at most) and at one point multiple hours in told me she wasn't sure if she'd even be able to finish it. She did end up completing it. I no longer have that tooth as it broke off at the roots and fell out on its own. Bottom line: please go to the appropriate specialists for treatment. Endodontists exist for a reason. Orthodontists exist for a reason. Do not feel pressured to get all of your dental-related needs filled by her read more

I called to make an emergency dental appointment and I spoke with Cheyenne on the phone. She was rude and made it a point to tell me they wouldn't cement my crown for free. I never asked for a free service I requested an emergency appointment. I have great benefits and didn't need her rudeness or her assumption I wanted something for free. I had an appt a 900 am my wife at 10 am at 1030 am after xrays my teeth still haven't been cleaned they came in the room and walked back out 2 times with no updates on cleaning I had to take my wife to work at 11 not thinking I would be in the back room for 1 1/2 hours so I had to walk out she rescheduled my wife to come back in for cleaning the next day but not me? I had My appointment recently and after a couple of years of being a patient there, we won't be coming back they can Thank their FOH employee named ASHLEY. She was rude and embaradsed me in front of other patients there.! She initially charged me $86 for copay without explaining anything to me. realized why was it so expensive and then I ask her In a polite way why was it expensive. Ashley then told me I should have asked her beforehand. She had a point. When she look at my total fee it's only $17.20 and I asked her why charged $86? she didn't even have an excuse that she made a mistake. Since she continued on her diva attitude I told her she should explain it better and be thorough before charging someone. As we worked very hard for every penny we earned. Ashley continued on the argument about I should ask first in front of everyone! And the difference will go back to my card. I should have left then but I feel bad wasting the dentist and hygienist time. Lesson learned ask the person who's charging you in details Why especially when it's out of the ordinary. Ashley you should learn how to apologize when your wrong a simple SORRY would've made a huge difference. Made an appointment after confirming they accepted my insurance. The work was done, i was given a bill for $2300, knowing my insurance covered 80% i asked how much it covered, i was told that they did not accept my insurance. Completely unprofessional. I argued that over the phone this same person whom i was dealing with in person assured me they took my insurance. I did not get an apology for the mistake but i was told that there was nothing she could do and that they simply did not take my insurance. I asked to speak with the dentist she also didn't take responsibility for her employees mistake. No discount was offered either. I payed the bill in full and the crown i got broke 2 days later, i went back to get it fixed, 2 weeks later it arrived in the wrong size, then sent again and it was the wrong color, then i got it but it was too long so it was filed down only to chip 5 days later, then after 3 months of trial and error i got the crown but the top edge is grey. I wanted nothing else to do with Dr. Hart at this point so 6 months later i went to a different doctor. It's been 2 years since and the same crown cracked, causing food to be lodged inside, i then needed a root canal and a new crown. My new dentist explained that the setting of the crown was off and that it was only a matter of time when it would need replacement. He did great work! But unfortunately my insurance would not cover a new crown because it was under 5 years. So I payed out of pocket. It didn't come close to what Dr. Hart was charging in fact it was less than half of what she charged me. I really WARN ANYONE WHO MIGHT BE CONSIDERING GOING TO HER. read more

The staff did not allow me (grandma) to be in the room while 5 year old grandson got his teeth cleaned. Said the room was too small, then said "it's a new OSA law". (checking this law out right now.) His mom was in another room getting her teeth cleaned. I was there because he is a MINOR and , can't speak up for himself!! I went back to check on him as he was done. Hygienist said he is all set, he did a good job and the she said she applied FLURIODE. I asked "did his mom give permission to do the fluoride?? her reply: "no". For REAL?! That is an option and always get asked if want fluoride applied. Steer clear! Way over priced for every service. Shop around and compare out of pocket expenses . I was clearly aware of what my out of pocket expenses were going to be and had it in writing. The day of services I forgot my paperwork at 8am ( I work swing) and the receptionist tried to charge me more money than I was quoted.I made her call Delta Dental insurance. Delta confirmed the receptionist was wrong. However the receptionist insisted I had to pay more than what Delta Dental was stating! This was so absurd and a complete waste of my time. I did not pay them more money. The receptionist got real huffy and stated I wouldn't even have enough time for the root scaling procedure. Upon leaving I informed them how unsanitary it was for them to have an IPad electronic sign-in procedure without any hand sanitizer! How could a DOCTOR'S Office overlook such basic hygiene issues! And, I had pointed this out to the office staff on my prior visit! Ewwwwwww Makes one wonder what other shortcuts they take... Reminds me of the clown who was reusing needles on several patients who then ended up with hepatitis! This office is more interested in bragging about all their fund raising for third world countries... Which they can do because they are so busy ripping us off! Too many headaches! I was referred to Dr. Hart by my orthodontist. I had a bad experience elsewhere, and so I was looking for a new dentist. I absolutely love this place. The staff and Dr. Hart are some of the most friendly people I've ever met professionally here in Las Vegas. She is very reasonable with her pricing and the work is stellar. Each time I've been in, I've been greeted with smiles. STOP! Read alot of bad reviews on the Internet, but decided to try them with caustion. After 6 weeks of waiting, found out Dr. Harts office never put in a claim for a Crown! Office Tech sanded down the Crown and put a hole in it, while Dr. Hart sat in the lobby area, talking to her kid about his school day! 2nd Crown came in, again, Office Tech sanded it down too much. Crown broke after 6 months, husband swallowed it. Her office recommended Polygrip to hold in all the temp Crowns which repeatedly fell out! Changed Dentists to The Tooth. They requested our files from Dr. Hart 3 TIMES, and they refused to send anything. Dr. Hart refuses to return calls! So, this new Crown will cost us another $600. This review is in regards to their billing. They try to charge you an appt breaking fee if you don't cancel within 48 hours. I got a hold of them 24 hours before the appointment since they were closed through the weekend and my appt took place on a Tuesday. I received a bill for $50. We used Dr. Hart for the past three years. Service was acceptable but this rating is based on a bill from Dr. Hart on 5/4/17 that contained numerous incorrect charges, including one for our son who hadn't even seen Dr. Hart in two years. Thinking this was merely a billing error, we tried three (3) times in three weeks to call Dr. Hart to discuss. In each case, staff informed us that the charge for our son was a mistake, that only Dr. Hart could fix it, and that Dr. Hart would call us. Regrettably Dr. Hart never did return any of our calls. In frustration I finally wrote and hand-delivered a letter dated 5/29/17, including copies from our insurance showing that in fact Dr. Hart had been OVERPAID and owed US a refund. We received one phone message from staff, stating that Dr. Hart had received the letter and was "working on the refund." Six weeks later we received neither a refund nor any contact from Dr. Hart. I cannot imagine any dentist who would ignore a good client who called three times and took the time to write a letter. I finally complained to the Better Business Bureau. One (1) day later, Dr. Hart's office suddenly made the refund. We still never received any explanation, apology, or phone call from Dr. Hart. The manner in which this was handled -- actually NOT handled -- makes me wonder if this false billing was really just a mistake and whether I need to go back and look at prior billings for other "mistakes." There are too many good dentists in this town to put up with this kind of poor customer service. read more

Be cautious making your appointment here. I kept giving them chances because I like to help businesses out. Two years have passed & it wasn't worth the try. I came out with more pain then when I went in, everytime. I felt like she made work for herself that I didn't need. Aside from that she chipped one of my tooth while drilling another, her team dropped my crown on the floor, cemented my teeth together incorrectly, put a big gap between my molars that was never there to begin with (so painful), all on separate occasions and the list goes on. She told my brother in law and I that we both would probably need root canals after her drilling, but we ended up finding another dentist that could fix her work. The teeth cleanings are ok if you need anything done there, but better if Hart does them herself. I just noticed it looks like the staff are making some of the reviews.... I have had 2 fabulous experiences with Dr Hart and her staff. The first was for a bonding repair in August and the second was for an x-ray review before my teeth cleaning in November. The equipment is modern and they walk you through the whole process. The office is clean and comfortable. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. My dental hygienist was very thorough and explained the whole process. They give you an estimated statement that you sign before completing any procedure-taking the guess work out completely. I am use to waiting for hours with out being told when I will be seen, but in June I had a filling and a temporary crown put on. In the beginning of July I had the permanent crown put on and I asked when I would be able to floss between the tooth with the filling and was never given an answer. After having the permanent crown put on with no numbing I tried to ask Dr. Hart a question and she treated me like I had no right to ask her anything. So a week after that I e-mailed a list of questions like, AGAIN... when will I be able to floss between my teeth again, when will my headache go away and when will the actual site of work stop hurting. That was on July 7th. After no answer by e-mail or phone by July 17th I e-mailed again. Still no answer. On July 24th I spoke to the woman who says she answers all of the e-mails and that the e-mail info@montecitodental-lasvegas.com is not their e-mail and has not been for months. That there is a new e-mail that mysteriously does not appear on any of the websites including their own, but I was told it is on their new appointment cards. Also they don't check the old e-mail or have a way of forwarding it because now they have the new one...montecitodental@yahoo.com. I forwarded my two other e-mails to this "new" e-mail and still never got a reply. However even though I expressly stated that I did not know if I could trust the Doctor to repair the issue with my teeth stemming from the work they did, the woman on the phone insisted that I still needed to come in. So I needed to come in to check out a problem the Doctor was already aware of when I actually left last time and would never give me any answer's to any questions about? I took more time off of work and went back and the Doctor did fix my ability to floss problem which in turn made my constant headache go away. BUT... On my way out, I asked to see these new client cards with the corrected yahoo e-mail and was told they are not in yet. So every card on the desk has the old e-mail. I pointed out that that is not what I was told and she apologized that I was given the wrong information. Well that is not the same as an apology for outright lying to me and trying to make me feel as if I was the one with the wrong information all along, but now you see the standards the staff are held to by the doctor. So If you like long, waits, never having a question answered and you are comfortable with being lied to then this is the perfect Dentist for you! read more
