Won't ever go back!! I went in for their new-patient promotion for X-rays and a basic cleaning. After waiting three hours, I was told they would not perform the cleaning included in the promotion and instead insisted that I needed a much more extensive procedure that they said "might be beneficial" for me. It felt like a classic bait-and-switch: advertise an affordable new-patient cleaning to get you through the door, then refuse to honor the promotion and push a significantly more expensive treatment instead. I've been a patient at Hillcrest Dental for over a decade, and the quality of care and professionalism from the office staff has gone downhill so badly that I'm honestly shocked. After years of trusting them, I'm walking away feeling taken advantage of and disrespected with my last few interactions. I had two different crowns pop off, both of which were under warranty--one of them even came off three separate times. That alone should've been a huge red flag, but I thought to myself things happen. My real frustrations stem from the office staff not solely my crowns popping off on four different occasions. On one occasion they scheduled me to fix one of the crowns, and they scheduled me incorrectly. I ended up sitting in a chair for two hours, literally doing nothing, only to be told I had to come back again on another day. Not a single thing was done during that appointment--just a complete waste of my time. Before the procedure, they had me sign paperwork explicitly stating I would be charged $0 because my crown was still covered by the 5-year warranty that I paid for. That warranty apparently means nothing, because despite their own paperwork, I later found out they added charges anyway. Fast-forward to what was supposed to be a routine cleaning appointment: suddenly I'm being told I have a balance for those appointments. I pay for my treatments as I am present, so I was completely confused as to how a mystery balance even existed. And to make things even more ridiculous--they waited until my next appointment to inform me they don't take my new insurance, even though I had already given it to them previously. So I showed up for a cleaning...didn't get cleaned...got told they don't accept my insurance...and then was asked to pay a balance I didn't even know existed. This office has turned into an absolute mess. The lack of communication, the billing errors, the low-quality work, and the disregard for my time and loyalty are completely offsetting. Save yourself the headache and go somewhere else. Prices and work are too inconsistent here. read more

They will not leave me alone, it's worst than spam emails now. Seriously, I've asked for the past year to be unsubscribed and taken out the system because they were still wanting to charge me thousands with insurance. The same 7k they wanted me to pay for a tooth I got done free at another dentist with my insurance! They didn't run it for a cleaning either and had me pay cash, also added some other things during the cleaning but I have free cleanings with my insurance. They continue to text and call and email me, it's one of the most annoying things. I already felt played how they had me run my credit to get care credit for a my tooth that needed replacement but not my insurance. Please leave me alone, I even spoke with someone askin to stop contacting me, they were told they would stop and it's just ongoing. Just came to Hillcrest after my last dentist I had for a long time change their insurance companies and I was really pleased with the warmest and efficiency of the office. UPDATE: Not even a year after placement, the crown came off while I was using a water flosser. From what I understand, crowns are intended to be long-term restorations and should not come off this easily. Because of my prior experience, I did not feel comfortable returning to this office and instead went to another dentist to have it addressed. During that visit, the crown required additional adjustment and had to be shaved down quite a bit to properly fit. I reached out twice privately through Yelp messaging (where the owner had previously messaged me) to inform the office/owner and ask whether there was any possibility of a refund or reimbursement for the crown portion of the treatment, especially since I had paid out of pocket for the zirconia crown and warranty. My initial message and follow up were read, but I did not receive a response. I would have preferred to resolve this directly with the office/owner before updating my review, but I wanted to include this update so future patients have a complete picture of my experience. read more

Dr. Navarro is very attentive to details! During my initial consult appointment he recognized the way my top teeth sat on my bottom teeth and that could be harmful in the long run. He suggested Invisalign, which I was excited for! Every appointment has been quick and easy, along with all the instructions throughout this process. My grandchildren who are teens never mind coming here and actually say how nice everyone also is to them. They do a monthly giveaway for new patients with some great gifts. They find issues that are not even true with your teeth and are just about scamming people out of their hard earned money!! Updated review. I had ortho treatment at Hillcrest with their "ClearStraight" aligners. BUYER BEWARE! The retainer you get after treatment is complete is cheap garbage. Mine lasted less than a year before it developed a crack in the front. I called Hillcrest and was told, "yeah that happens sometimes". They want $150 to replace just half of the set. What a rip off! My new dentist will give me 4 full sets (upper & lower) of name brand retainers for $600. I would avoid Hillcrest Dental, unless you enjoy being ripped off! read more

My experience at Hillcrest Dental was an impressive one. I haven't been to the dentist in so long that I was worried about the cost of the damage I had done to my teeth. From the moment I walked in I was greeted and taken care of in ways that are rarely seen now-a-days. EVERYONE, from the first interaction with the receptionist, the initial screening and imaging, the consultation, going over all the work I needed, discussing pricing and payment plans, the deep cleaning with the hygenist, my Crown installation, setting up the follow ups, the procedures with the doctor, the reminders before the appointments, the cheerful and personable greetings from the staff who know, not only my name, but remembered my wife and my baby. Not one interaction, from start to finish was anything less than absolute care and professionalism. I can fully and confidently recommend this dental office and their staff for anyone reading this review. I chose to schedule almost all of my dental work for a single day and they were able to accomodate my request. They worked on me for about 7 hours that day and i was I was pain free during all of my procedures. As senior management at my place of employment, I can tell that the managers or owners of this establishment value customer service above all else and it is very easy to see how it affects the whole team. I have taken my wife to get her dental work here as well and we are both extremely happy with the results. I hope this teams continues to shine as an example of what a medical practice SHOULD feel like.
