A wonderful experience at such a sad time. We had to make an overnight decision for our sweet boy Bruno. The hospital we took him to uses a place in Gilroy for their cremations. When I had reached out to the place in Gilroy to see if I could bring him to them that day and they immediately turned me away and said no appointments after 3pm. I was very pleased the attention we received from Loved Pet. We just had our Mary put down due to a spinal tumor that progressed rapidly in less than a week. We had to make a hard decision on a Saturday, my daughter called Loved Pet and was very sensitive about our trying times. Codi was my representative. She was caring, supportive, informative, and professional. My Fur kid was a Great Dane, a majestic breed that needs to be treated accordingly and this is what Codi did. She wrapped my girl in her blankie she Let me put her on her bed and let me put an additional bed to ensure that she wouldn't potentially slide. I can't tell you how much that meant to me. Also, Codi made several suggestions for my girls urn that was most impressive. She etched my girls nose on top of the urn and her right paw on the right side and her left paw on the other side. I drove down to their location in Royal Oaks. The venue is beautiful. There are several different little graves of animals and it was so peaceful. I initially decided to go with this business due to the over the phone quote of $90 total for a bird cremation. I also have an email attached of the quote as well. I was told watching the video on the website would also get me $50 off. I'm thinking this is great! A place that cares about the customer and animals. I was willing to make the drive from San Jose for this great deal. My bird, Sunny, had passed in my hands after 20 years of having her since she was a baby. This has been an emotional time for me. We arrived last Sunday, mother's day. To top it off I'm part of the dead mother's club. The place is beautiful. Chickens, peacocks, turkeys, and a cute dog to greet you. The owner was the one who helped us. We had to wait as he had a client in the office on arrival. The groundskeeper was very polite and showed us where to sit. When we got to his office, the owner started rambling about the previous client, she's beautiful etc and how he gave her half off. I'm thinking okay I don't really care and this isn't professional to talk about, but I ignored it. He told me previously that someone would be onsite to remove select feathers from my bird, no one was there to do so. He told me to remove them myself. This felt awkward and I zoned out while doing so because it's not a very comfortable thing to do to your dead pet. I finish up and hand over my pet to him in the bag. I don't remember the full conversation because this is when I started dissociating. He told us the actual price was over $600. You can imagine my surprise to this news. As he told us, mind you, he was holding the bag with my dead pet in it, waving it around. I can write it off as she's gone already, but it still felt disrespectful. He told us one of the girls might be fired over providing me with the wrong pricing. Then he asked us to name a fair price. I was not in the right head space to bargain like I was buying a used car, again, we're talking about cremation services. My fiance was asking fair questions regarding cremation of such a small animal, etc. I decided it's fine, she was my baby for 20 years, whatever. He throws in "free engraving and a free urn" but "the $50 off doesn't apply now", which doesn't make sense but okay. Had I been in the right headspace, I would have left. I regret doing business with this man. We were called during the week to let us know that she was ready to be picked up. So I told the woman on the phone I'd be by on Sunday. No time was specified, but for context, we arrived at 11 am on the previous Sunday. She assured me someone would be there to help. We arrived today at 10:38 am, I'm thinking this is fine since online it says the hours are 8:30 am - 4:30 pm. We parked and walked up, but the office door was closed. I give the owner a call and he tells me they don't open til later on the weekends around 12 pm, online hours are not correct, which also doesn't check out given we were there at 11 am last Sunday. He then proceeds to tell me, 12 pm but 2 pm is better due to church, etc. I told him we lived an hour away and waiting doesn't make sense for us. He told me to hold while he tried to find assistance. This is when the groundskeeper pulled up and allowed us inside to pick up our ashes. All I heard on the phone is "Siri hey Siri please call" as I'm trying to interrupt to tell him to tell him we have help, he hung up on me. We were able to retrieve the ashes thanks to the kind groundskeeper. The box is not in the best condition, as there are scratches etc on it. But hey, this is what you get for $600 and a "free urn" right? All I can say is I hope the groundskeeper is getting paid enough. read more

Tece, our 15 year old dog (apparently the oldest dog to be cremated here), passed away a couple days before Christmas and our family was anxious to get her cremated as soon as possible versus waiting for the holidays. This is our first pet to pass so we really didn't know much about the process. My father called LovedPet and handled the drop off of Tece - Steve was great with him in person as well as on the phone, showing him how the cremation was done, explaining the general process etc. Heather showed him samples and was also very helpful in call backs as we waited for the urns and certificate we ordered. I went to go pick up the urns when they were ready and I have to say, the property and animals on it are beautiful - I would slow drive over since the birds and rabbits have no worries about cars. Steve, Heather and Barbie were great at showing me the urns, and being comforting as I definitely cried when seeing the boxes. I will say, I believe they are high quality - I mainly really wanted her paws saved and I think they look great. They were also able to split the ashes for us since our family is in two households, which we appreciated. I believe watching the cremation take place was also an option mentioned but just not something we had the time for personally. Also, there is an option for pick up of just coming after hours to a locker to get the urns, if you don't wish to see people during that time, which I thought was a great option for others. After the pickup, I walked around the farm with Barbie and talked, showed me some of the lovely animals they have and she also gave me some farm eggs - the customer service of the team of Steve, Heather, and Barbie was outstanding and I couldn't appreciate it any more. If you call/arrive in person and you get the owner Jim at all, I would immediately request someone else on the staff in order for you to have a pleasant experience. read more
