Not only do they have a nice assortment of plants, the customer service is excellent and the prices are reasonable. After being greeted and assisted by multple welcoming staff I had a very knowledeable and friendly associate, Angie, help me pick out herbs and flowers for my garden project. They have everything from vegetables, fruit trees, shrubs, flowers, house plants, succlents, dirt, and garden supplies. They even have a small chicken coop with free range chickens roaming the property I left feeling excited to plant my new plants and plan on returning soon to support this business. Great deal with different varieties you don't see often....4" pots cost $4 or 6 for $20 which is a great deal. I wanted to buy the 'crown of thorns' succulent that produces either white, red, pink or yellow flowers....i figured i'd walk and finish looking and come back before i left...didn't realize that was a popular so by the time i returned it was gone except for a lone yellow one so i snagged that one along with an air plant...really pretty! I didn't get her name but guessing the owner, Carol was nice enough to look in her inventory to see if there was others hiding....darn...none...she told me how to care as i've killed a couple of air plants...you'd think all it needed was air but nope, you need to 'water' (misting) them at least twice a week...i never know if im not giving enough or too much as sometimes the base looks rotted...I'll buy one more and cross my fingers it survives! I'll definitely have to either drive to Watsonville and make it a day or visit the Alamada Antique Fair again on first Sunday of the month.

Note that they also grow the plants in their own nursery so it's not a matter of checking San Marcos growers or Monrovia to see if they can special order for you. Great for bulk delivery of soil, mulch, etc., and all the soil and compost I've gotten from them (probably 20+ cubic yards now) has been nice and clean, no weed seeds. Service can be a little hit or miss - most times it's great, but a couple of times I've had a guy at the desk who gave such minimal answers to my stock questions that I ended up coming back another time to ask someone else.
