We rented here for 3 wonderful years and absolutely loved our stay. The staff was very kind and even let me borrow some tools on my move in and move out (so sweet). The staff management and repair men were amazing and were very kind and personable. Our building cohabitants, neighbors, some who became friends, will be, like our sunny south facing balcony garden, dearly missed. The location, price and accommodations exceeded expectations. They are completely dishonest. i just gave a reviewed for them, mistakenly, on Monterey Pines MOTEL. i would just advise people against going there. There will be constant noise from apartment renovations. THEY will NOT tell you before you move in that your neighbors are leaving and that they are going to be drilling, knocking down terraces, etc., right against your wall--they are in a process of demoliishing one apt. after another. Furthermore, they will always find an illegal way to keep your security and probably tack on more expense. They were supposed to change a portion of my carpet--it was in perfect condition. $200, they said, for one stain---Suddenly i have a bill for $1000 PAST my $700 security deposit and by that time i had left CA. They don't respond to hazardous events like trees falling down around living areas. Did I mention the random power outages or having to pick up all fedex/ups, no matter how large or small the package may be? There's an inch air gap on your front door all the way around the door. The building door locks jam and are difficult to open. The deadbolt doesn't lock properly unless you position it properly (improperly cut) There's a homeless encampment across the street and they peruse the properties during the twilight. I have been living here for 5 years and only have great things to say. Jacqui and Amy do an excellent job and promptly respond to any questions and requests. They always have a positive attitude and make people welcomed. Also, can't take for granted how this place is meant for dogs. Dogs love their walks here, the dog park is better than any park for humans I have ever seen, they have poop bag dispensers, and well maintained grounds. If there is an issue such as a leaky pipe etc., the response time is quick. In contrast, many people who rent from other landlords are treated like an inconvenience and the wait time to get anything fixed isn't that fast. A lot of perks to living here. read more

Bottom Line Up Front: They will try to extract as much money as possible from you. Commonly they would give verbal assurances, but would fail to follow through. Ensure you get every agreement in email and know that you will not be getting your full deposit back when leaving. I lived at Monterey Pines Apartments while I was attending school for over 2 years from September 2019 to December 2021. When discussing the rates and living conditions 2 months prior to moving in, they initially told me that I would have a specific rate and a newly remodeled apartment with new countertops, but this was not the case. Upon checking in, I was given a higher rate and worse apartment than they had promised me. My, next issue is that I had agreed upon a departure date verbally 3 months prior to my departure, but it must be in writing/email at least 1 month prior to your departure or they will continue you on a month to month lease with increased rent. They never attempted to call me or email me confirming departure and were more than happy to collect extra rent while I was no longer in the area. My last issue was that my "deposit" was used to cover maintenance upon leaving. They will justify it with miscellaneous costs. I think it would be hard to find anyone who was returned their full deposit. If you want to live here ensure you get everything in email or they will try to extract every dollar possible from you. They are friendly, but not your friends and see the tenants as dollar signs. I would highly recommend finding another place to spend your money and time while in Monterey. read more

I moved to Monterey, 2.5 years ago. I had a heck of a time finding a place that takes pets, it was quit the challenge. I stumbled across Monterey Pines and met Amy and Taylor, two of the loveliest ladies I have met since moving here. They showed me the newly remodeled unit and it was love at first sight. Let me say, I know some of my request are unusual, but it seems like these ladies and the team thrive off of the unusual! Anything I ask for within reason, they are happy to assist. My new puppy is only 7 lbs I was terrified, that he would fit through the balcony slates. Amy and Mike had maintenance install chicken wire, from top to bottom. Chase can now go out whenever he wants! Just know Amy throws the best community activities; Sip & Paint, Pool parties, Planting parties (where I discovered my love for succulents) and my favorite Food Truck Fridays! Taylor has been promoted to a new property and Amy is now the Manager handling the property and its residents with ease. I am happy to say these ladies work hard and deserve their promotions. Ok, I went off track for a minute. Lastly I love that everyone that works here including my favorite Mike (Maintenance Manager) are just really good people that they look out for their residents. I left my car window down the other night, and Mike knocked on my door to let me know. That tells you the compassion the whole team has! I left after many years due to bad management both on site and at corporate. Maintenance people were ok but do little really, and they have to keep up with the constant needs of an old, aging property. Corporate has them trained to band-aid things, so no money is ever spent to actually FIX things there. Tons of issues here, poor communication with tenants, ignorance of on site problems, no property checks, I had mail stolen out of the boxes, constantly raising rents and there is NO acoustic barrier between you and your neighbors. If you live downstairs in particular, you will never sleep again. So! Your experience will only ever be as good as your current neighbor. Turnovers are constant here. So be aware of that too as well as rodent problems, plumbing issues all over, On site employees in office are not professional at all. If you speak out you get tagged a "problem". Heard it from many neighbors over the years and I was constantly ignored and talked about. Was insulting when you try to bring issues up in hopes they would give a crap and fix them. Instead their lazy regional manager told me "if I didn't like it to get out" as did 2 managers here. So I did. Too bad they are as shallow as their overpriced apartments are. Horribly built units, expensive utilities that are not included at all in the monthly rent, quite a bit of crime (gun shots, car accidents, fights), harassment by staff about pretty much anything and everything they can have an opinion on or issue with. The ladies at the front are some of the nastiest people I've ever met, and that's saying a lot. Jacqui was great at the beginning, but after that I only dealt with Bridget and Amy and trust me, you don't ever need to meet these two women. Just moved back to Orange County for work. I spent almost three years at this complex. Loved it!! My large size balcony had views of canyons, all types of trees including the "Enchanted Forest." (Old name for the forest) Lots of availability for walking the "dog." Sunny-most afternoons compared to Monterey downtown some days. Pleasant atmosphere and clean. I struggle with how I feel about this place. Yelp considers 2 stars as "Meh. I've experienced better." Seems about right. I feel 1 star is extreme, but I strongly considered it because of the upkeep. My husband and I have lived here for over a year. At this point I'm not quite sure why we renewed our lease, we assumed things would get better. The Good: In the summer, this place isn't bad. Really. It's cool when you leave the windows open, there's a cross breeze, we have a peeking view of the ocean, it's really quite nice. Generally speaking, the maintenance is acceptable. Come to find out, we got into a pretty good lease price, as our upstairs neighbors pay over $300 more per month than us. This place is very pet friendly. The apartments (1 bedroom layout) are extremely spacious and I honestly LOVE the floor plan. You have access to great internet speeds, and the location and proximity is really, really nice. The pools are beautiful. And some of the staff tries to provide a great experience, I do give them that. I want to love this place, I really do. The Bad: While our income was more than qualified, our credit was less than ideal. After jumping through numerous hoops when applying for this place and paying nearly three times their "standard" deposit amount, we were able to get in. We pay rent every month on time, often early, but once I simply forgot and was 12 hours late. I paid rent and the late fee on the 4th, but that evening they served me a stern "pay or quit" notice on my door. Very impersonal. The biggest issue here is the water. Some people simply don't get hot water, some simply don't get cold. Ours gets a mix of the extremes, and every shower is a gamble of whether we will leave with near scalding burns, or if it will be "tolerable". We have seen all but one neighbor who surrounds us move, simply because they needed reliable water temperatures throughout their day (simple request if you ask me.) I do know they are "working on it" and have plumbing out quite frequently doing who knows what, but it has been this way for the entire year we've lived here, and at least a year prior according to our (since moved out) neighbors. My next issue with this place is the general upkeep. Depending on where you go, everything seems really nice and tidy on the grounds. Near the lower area and the forest line, you can see that maintenance lets their excess flow into the trees and all the dumpsters get explored nearly daily by random homeless people that emerge from the woodlands. While there's no way for them to necessarily control that aspect, when maintenance drives by on their carts, I have never seen them pick up the trash and actually contribute to the cleanliness of the entire area. In the winter, when it rains, everything becomes overwhelmingly apparent that they cut corners. We have called three times about leaking windows in this storm, and after the 3rd call, we got a messy, bright white caulking around just one of the two windows that are leaking. The window in our bedroom, the most important of the two, was left untreated and we've experienced mold problems even though we maintain a very clean home and continually allow ample airflow as the lease recommends. The leak was also located right above an outlet, that was likely a hazard, but I suppose that's not of importance to maintenance. Our upstairs neighbors were experiencing the same issues, but have since moved out. We had our fridge break, and were given a "new" fridge that looked like it might have been dropped a few times. The bottom drawer portion is held together by electrical tape. Our "new" fridge seems to get the job done, but is by no means new and has an incredibly loud hum for a solid 10-15 minutes every few hours. I feel the units closest to the clubhouse are the ones they focus on most. They definitely aren't able to upkeep standards throughout all units. We leave our apartment nearly every day, walking to our car, to be greeted by a beautiful ocean view, and a heaping pile of trash. The heap started as if it were scrap pieces for the dump from remodeled units, but residents have taken it upon themselves to turn it into a dumb/goodwill station and simply put whatever they don't want there. See photos. Honestly it's pretty embarrassing to bring friends or family over and to explain them that they can park next to the giant trash heap (the guest parking area near our building). TLDR: Don't expect nice showers. If you get a cheap lease, it's worth it for a year I guess. Be prepared for a hard winter, and the possibility of ruined furniture due to mold. I've taken all of these concerns to management. Amy is wonderful, but not everyone is upheld to that level of care to the happiness and home environment of their tenants. Yelp will not allow me to write any more, but I think you get the idea. Monterey Pines Apartments started out with a lot of promise, but ultimately disappointed. I would have given a lower rating, but there were a few good aspects that kept it from being horrible. First, though, let me list the cons. There were many. CONS 1. There were no washers or dryers in the apartments, which meant using a laundry room. 2. I had to pay for water and garbage, which is highly unusual in the Bay Area, where I am from. It was a shock to my system having to pay that bill. 3. I was located downstairs, and subjected to loud, inconsiderate, neighbors above my head. It was, at times, unbearable. 4. Because the property is set in a wooded region, and because another building was right outside of mine, my place was ALWAYS dark, even on sunny days!! I had to use houselights ALL THE TIME!! I couldn't keep plants in my place, because they didn't get enough sun! That sucked the most. 5. The property is VERY dog friendly, and often times, I had to deal with barking dogs on the other side of my walls for long stretches of time. 6. My building was SUPPOSED to be a secured building, but more times than not, inconsiderate neighbors propped open the main doorway with a trash can. I was ALWAYS closing the front door! 7. I often took hot showers with my bathroom door open, and the smoke detector nearby would routinely go off from the steam! 8. There is a sever lack of lighting outside the complex, so taking walks at night was out of the question. PROS 1. The area is very scenic, if you like the woods. 2. The location of the property is no more than 10-12 minutes from just about everything worth seeing in Monterey. 3. The rent, compared to the Bay Area, was affordable for a one-bedroom place. 4. Finally, the staff was great! The maintenance guys were top flight, the leasing office ladies (Jackie and Bridget) were awesome! And the manager, Amy, was excellent. I realize that my gripes might be seen by some as overly picky, but that is my truth. IF all those CONS don't bother you, then by all means, check out living at Monterey Pines Apartments. read more

I've lived at the Monterey Pines Apartments with my husband since April 2014. In the past three years, I've come to know the leasing staff and maintenance staff and believe they handle business at this 300+ apartment complex really well. It's quiet, there's no shady activity, and I feel really safe here. The maintenance crew is quick to make repair and I've never had to live with something subpar for more than a day. They're constantly updating the grounds and buildings, they've created a community by hosting bbq's, food truck Friday, and small parties in their leasing office. The best part about living here is that they're pet friendly. The second best part about living here is the units are all really nice. No gross particle board cabinets, no green and yellow tiled bathrooms. As far as rentals go in Monterey you couldn't find a better place to live for the price. read more

I moved to get away from the management there. The property is beautiful, but the apartments themselves are overpriced for old and damaged living spaces. Everything in the apartment is very obviously installed with the cheapest contractor, paint sprayed on windows, bubbling paint that comes off with a single touch, damaged countertops with outdated color schemes and ants living in the very walls, that the property does not spray sufficiently for. If you opt for the 'upgraded' apartments, you will pay out the ears for it, and it isnt much better. Not to mention the company pays for leaf blowers to come by a few times a week, that are very ineffectual yet cannot afford proper bug spraying. The real issue is the management themselves. One manager even told a tenet (over a simple discussion of a parking spot) "you are just a tenet and I am a manager, you have to listen to me." This was after the manager walked up to the tenet and rudely instructed them to move their car, that had been in that parking spot for well over a year. Everything is knee jerk reaction with the management staff, and the tenets are consistently the ones that pay for it. A few personal examples: - ants were coming out of the faucet in my bathroom and I was told due to COVID they couldnt do anything, to just get ant traps. - They personally monitored my actions on their security camera, and commented to other tenets on it. This created a toxic environment, and is against the rights of the tenets. - kept a package in their locked office that contained food, and only informed me of its existence when it started leaking and ants came out of it. (two weeks after delivery). - Claimed it was vandalism that their fireplace tiles nearly fell on the head of a tenet due to poor construction (there is a camera which we know they monitor religiously), and took away all outdoor furniture and blamed COVID. This was in November 2020. - Was told that in accordance with Monterey law the outdoor dog park must remain locked and closed, that was not the case at the time, as outdoor dining was available, and all public dog parks were open. The management are lazy and ineffectual and have driven multiple tenets away. The property might need some work, but it would be better living there with them gone. Maintenance personnel and the cleaning staff are quite amazing, they are one of the few redeeming qualities at the apartment. They will bend over backwards to assist you, and try their best to make the poor craftsmanship of the apartments livable. read more

I moved in January 2021. Due to the 2020 Holiday Season, due to looking for an animal friendly environment during the 2020 Holiday Season and due to Covid 19 - it was a challenging transition. Jacqui Sears could not have been a more helpful leasing agent. She was professional, thorough and did everything she could to be of assistance with every aspect of leasing and moving in. Although I'm just short of 4 months of being a resident, I'm really pleased! The community (even during Covid) is welcoming and delightfully diverse in terms of age, ethnicity, and profession. I've been in a single family setting for years and was not looking forward to apartment living and shared walls, etc. My neighbors are GREAT. I enjoy the sense of safety and security. When the occasional issue does arrive, resolution is quick and thorough. I really appreciate the communication and notification efforts. Earlier this year there was a problem with a water main that was discovered and quickly repaired. Residents were notified quickly and effectively and every effort was made to avoid inconvenience. The best apartment in Monterey! The staff is amazing and they get back to their residents quickly. If an issue ever does arise, they go above and beyond to fix it. The amenities are awesome. It includes a gym, dog park, tons of clean laundry facilities, 2 pools and a game room. The maintenance staff is incredible and extremely friendly. They are always willing to help and make the living here relaxing. Our apartment has a really nice view of the ocean, as well as a cute patio where we can look out, and still have privacy. The community here is friendly, and I have never encountered anyone who was not willing to talk a few minutes or let you pet their dog. Jaci and Amy are awesome. They are not only helpful, but really sweet ladies that always plan community gatherings. 10/10 would recommend living here. Any negative reviews on here I just don't understand. I moved into this place in May 2022. Before I moved in I read some negative comments and talked to the rental manager about these comments then ignored them. Now I am so regretful for ignoring them. Due to a health issue, I had to move out in August, so I stayed there only for a few months. This move cost me a financial disaster. They took all of my rent deposit which is $21000 due to breaking the lease, plus one more rent which is $2100 due to giving them notice in one month advance, plus over $2000 for changing the carpet and painting the walls. The total that I need to pay was almost $7000 in one month. Please see the attached file if you believe painting walls or changing carpets is necessary. I've tried to talk to them several times for understanding. I told them I am leaving because of an unexpected health issue, but their intention was to take as many as dollars I have. I certainly would not recommend this apartment complex to anyone. I met Theressa when I gave my 30 day notice--she seems pleasant, but I can't imagine her pleseantness will help the run down condition of the property. The complex seems to prefer the "cheap" fix, as opposed to actually fixing the problem. My shower didn't drain for the first two years I lived there. They were refusing to fix it, because it would require opening the wall to fix the pipes. I finally called the corporate office. It took a plumber two days to fix this. The shower itself was a whole other problem. It was growing pink mold, and the enamal was peeling off. Some genius painted over this problem, and that paint was peeling off too. Maintenence told me that it was hair dye, which is outrageous, since I don't dye my hair. Another call to corporate, and my shower was fixed six months later. However, I had to beg for another working shower, as it would take four days for them to fix my shower (I was told, "Don't you have family in the area?" Yes, about 30 mintues away--too far for a shower before work). My ceiling leaked on occaision. One time, my bathroom flooded due to a problem on the third floor (I'm was on the first). The carpet came undone in all the corners of the house. The heaters didn't work. The laundry room was always flooded, and smelled like butt. One time, the washing machine didn't unlock, and the front office told me, "You expect me to call maintence? He's busy mainaining the property. FInd a big strong man to help you." Oh, okay, let me go through my big strong man rolodex and see what I can do. My third floor neighbor's floor is sinking inwards and downwards. The building creaks and groans. I got stuck in the elevator, which has taken to moaning, groaning, and shaking the building lately. Luckily, my brother (who lived in the same building at the time) heard me screaming and called the emergency line. They told him the elevator repair people were two hours away. My brother called the cops to get me out of the elevator. The cops were there in less than ten minutes. There's a pool of water under the elevator. When changing the light in my hallway, the entire light fixture fell off into my hands. Maintenence said they would fix it "maybe the next day or some time." The cabinet doors were falling off, full of holes, and didn't close. Again, I had to call corporate to get something fixed. Maintenance told me that I was not allowed to "hang or swing" on the new cabinets, because they'd break just like the old ones...because that's exactly what I didn't do to the old ones and they broke. After five years, the blinds in the bedroom need to be replaced, as they are beginning to rust (there is only one window in the apartment, so in order to get air circulation, you must open the window. When the fog rolls in, it causes the blinds to rust). I was told it would cost me "$100-200 to replace." I went out and bought my own curtains. The blind replacement came out of my security deposit. I know Tiffany P's mom. Her kitchen light really didn't work. I came and helped her when her sink flooded with grease (we were filling a bucket with grease and taking out to the dumpster in order to prevent a total flood.) I went home about 11:30 PM, and the plumber was still there. They really did evict her right after Christmas. They also evicted about three other people on the same spree. The woman who went on the eviction spree is aparantly not Theressa, but a temp that was there between the old office manager, and the new one. Don't do it. Not worth the problems, even though Theressa seems nice. read more

Watch out for their idea of 'pet friendly'. To them it means having an animal that makes absolutely no noise. And other tenants who don't have a dog have no problem complaining until you're put on notice. Also the management doesn't care really what goes on here as long as they aren't bothered. The one that lives on site will scream if you're bothering her but no one will hear any complaint against her screaming children and yappy dog. There are issues with the apartments themselves, they look nice until you live here for a while and find all the stuff that doesn't work or was left broken. And while the maintenance guys are nice its an act of god for anything to happen. The rent goes up annually, sometimes bi-annually and the only notice you get is a letter stating you're late. Finally, there have been quite a few break-ins and those of us who know only do so because we were robbed. read more

I have the updated single bedroom apt and it is great for a couple and two dogs! I originally gave Monterey Pines 4 stars when moving in, but a series of unfortunate events have led me to ultimately rate them 1 star. Head my warning... I'll start with the redeeming qualities: It's very quiet, the apartments are modern and updated, and they allow pets. It's in a very good location - right off the freeway but tucked away just enough so you don't hear any of the car noise. The bad... First of all the management is rude and unprofessional. Upon contacting management about a concern I had with lost paperwork in the office, I was berated and called a manipulative and deceitful person deemed untrustworthy by staff, upon other things. The situation went from 0-100 really quick and was not handled well.I have never been treated so poorly, let alone by a "professional" at a management level. I was in disbelief. Thereafter relations with the office staff were awkward and at times I felt we were retaliated against. Fast forward to the present (just moved out a month ago-June 2016). We put down a $1000 deposit when we moved in (500 for our dog). Today we received a letter that we will be getting NONE of our money back and are expected to pay $150 on top of that. Are you freaking kidding me?! They will remodel at your expense which is a rip off. We had requested they conduct a walk through while we were home so that we could get feedback before moving out. On the day of the scheduled visit, no one showed up and we found a note indicating they had done the walkthrough a few days earlier when we weren't home which was shady. We were never provided with notes or feedback about the apartment's condition and were surprised to discover how many "renovations" they needed to complete (and subsequently charge us for), especially considering that we left the apartment in good condition. I want to start off by saying that i relocated here from San Jose, CA about a year ago, It was a hard transition coming from a noisy city to a quiet relaxing atmosphere... this place is amazing, Quiet, clean, and has changed a lot in the last few months, with a few little up grades....... The new staff is great and very understanding... I have to admit that part of my living experience here has a lot to do with how the staff handles any issues, and with there turn around time on work orders are excellent... I lived in MP for almost two years, during which time the property was undergoing significant upgrades. I absolutely loved the community there- after a brief bout of miscommunication, the local staff was able to handle a major issue and returned much more of my security deposit than I had anticipated. Amy is the absolute best and I'm thankful that she was able to help me so rapidly. Bottom line: I would absolutely live here again! GREAT staff and amenities. read more

I'm so happy to call this place my home! Finding pet friendly housing is very difficult in Monterey. Any maintenance needed is ALWAYS taken care of, in a very quick manner. The staff knows all of the tenants by name, ( their pets, too.) Food trucks come all of the time. There are events for the community. I see all of these negative reviews, all I can think is that these people must have done something to not like this place, on their own. I've lived here for over a year, and I'm proud. I rented an apt from Monterey Pines during Covid19 - I have to say for the amount of money they charge the facilities are not up to par. There is no storage and the apt is old and needs total updating. They still have popcorn ceilings and the wall imperfections are hidden by a coat of paint. The toilets and tubs are old ( not low flow and waste water) the cabinets are delaminating, and smell of formaldehyde and the appliances cheap. There is a problem with personal safety and there is no security to protect their tenants or their property. While living there people's cars we broken into and the onsite laundry facilities were vandalized not making it safe. You are not getting any value whatsoever from this complex. The large company that manages this apartment complex is greedy and does not care about their tenants or that people live in these apts. Today it seems that money is more important than human safety and lives. read more

I lived at Monterey Pines for 2 years with my two young daughters. The management (Amy and Taylor) were so friendly and accommodating whenever I had any issues or questions. Any maintenance requests were completed in a timely manor and the whole property was properly taken care of. I think the most important factor most families are concerned about is finding a home in a safe environment, and I lucked out with my apartment at Monterey Pines. All my neighbors were extremely respectful with noise levels and just day to day greetings. I'm quite jealous that they have just done a complete renovation of the property with a new gym and outdoor BBQ areas. If It wasn't for me moving out of the area for business, I would still be at the Pines. Definitely recommend! read more

"a great place to call "home". The entire staff always greet you with a smile and are very helpful to our needs, and are quick to attend to any problems that arise . The grounds and facilities are kept clean every day by friendly courteous workers. Some units have great ocean view and the location is very convenient. My wife and I just sold out home and began shopping for another one. We found one and about to move out of monterey pines. The staff, Amy, Brandon and Sal, help make it a positive experience. The were very understanding about our possibly short term situation, our cat, and the rent was reasonable. The complex was kept clean, and staff was very proactive about problems. Nice apartment complex in a great area of Monterey. The staff is responsive and nice and does monthly activities. The only real issues are the semi-frequent water line issues and the fact that they use the utility provider Conservice, which is a whole other story (check out their Yelp ratings). The complex does live up to its name and is full of beautiful trees with Spanish moss hanging off of them. It was a nice place to spend three years in Monterey. read more

Nice, safe place to live. I needed to move quickly and Jacqui at the leasing office was able to process all of my paperwork for me to move in within 24 hours. Wonderful heated pool and gym that's rarely occupied. Looking forward to attending building events again once coronavirus is over! read more

I love this place and all but rent is super expensive for a college student. I pay (with a roommate) 1187.50. Which is way to much for my likely if you also haven't even agreed on this place in the start of moving in. It's way to much! I also gotten a "noise" complaint that wasn't my fault nor my friends fault. The manger of this apartment assumed that I wasn't here at my place or I didn't remember. If something happened way months ago then why bring something up? My main point is that they don't tell when you've gotten a complaint more than once when things happen right then and there. They tell you many months later. They always tell you, your in the wrong when customs are always right. The manger of the leasing office doesn't listen to what you have to say she over talks you. In this situation with the problem of my " noise " complaint. Overall this apartment is nice if you want to away from everything. I think it's good for elderly, college students ( MPC is close ), and children. The views are really nice. Also there's a mall near here which is walking distance from the place. If you are shilling to pay the price. My down faults for these type of apartments is that your super isolated from everything. You can't do much. Stores, eating out, grocery stores, and etc are all the other side of town ( besides the mall ). Since I don't drive it's unconvenient for me to get around places so if I wanted to go out and do something at night you would have walk down a scary hill or cut through the mall which you can get from town. The money for rent is way to much like I said before. But like I said it's a good complex but crappy on telling your problems and listening. But good it's good to be out in the middle of no where if you like that type of environment. read more

Monterey Pines is well situated. These apartments are hiden within the city, this makes it nice and tranquil. The apartment itself is nice and comfortable. There are a few groceries stores, the city center, the beach and post(POM) are all within 5-10 a minute drive. Not enough nice things can be said about the staff, specially Amy and Jaqui from the main office. They will address all and any concerns. Thank you guys ! read more

Great office staff. Less than 5 minutes drive to Naval Post Graduate school. It's a win!
