The only saving grace for this place was their chips were good & their drinks were cheap and decent tasting! The michelada was the only thing we enjoyed. I thought it would be an authentic place because of the look inside. Unfortunately it wasn't the case as the rest of the night continued. The seats are well put to use you can see by all the rips and tears. But that wasn't as much of the problem than with their food! The chips were not bad they were decent the chunky salsa wasn't as great I didn't like it just reminded me of the canned ones they sell at the store. I ordered a shrimp cocktail & husband ordered a combination of a taco, Chile relleno, and enchilada. I did not finish my shrimp cocktail because it seemed as if they poured the whole ketchup bottle it was almost tomato soup and while the portion looked big it was not good. Husbands combo we never thought at a Mexican restaurant they would bring out hard shell tacos that is a first definitely not traditional. The horchata was huge portion but it was not good either the taste was really off. The house margarita on happy hour was only 3.50 and happy hour is a actually a few hours so drinks wise if you want to check this place out for cheap drinks this is the place but for food I don't recommend. Been here a couple of times always have great service. This last time we went my kids were watching home alone on my phone while we were dining there. Waiter says I just watched that the other day. 1st off we were seated but our food arrived to the table as a to go order. Next, checked my taco salad, and not only did it NOT HAVE EXTRA TOMATOES as requested there weren't any on it at all. The waiter went to get the tomatoes. We ordered queso, but didn't receive any chips with the queso. I'm assuming because we had chips with the salsa. Either way, I thought the queso should have came with it's own chips. Ordered entirely too much food, so I stacked my taco salad on top of the loaded nachos (remember they were in to go containers). The wait came to get my food; now I'm thinking he's bagging it up especially since I hadn't touched my taco salad. When he returned I asked for my bag. He was like oh I thought you was done; my food was thrown in the trash. I was so outdone. Granted he offered to fix another taco salad. I declined because the way things had already been going I felt me waiting for it would have been a complete waste of my time. I just knew it would have came back with guacamole on it. I love the cheese dip. The waiting is amazing. I went there on my b-day, and this one waiter was the BEST waiter ever. I said, "It's my birthday," she said, "Oh, happy birthday!" It's so friendly--specifically the waiters. I love the 2 soft tacos, with lettuce and cheese. They serve it so quick in my opinion. Like I said, the cheese dip--phenomenal. Seated right away after stopping in for lunch on a Tuesday before Christmas shopping. I was weary because of the reviews but you can't go shopping Hangry (hungry therefore angry). The waitress checked on me three times before I was ready to order so the service is attentive. Chips were warm, salsa is watery but cold and flavorful. I ordered the lunch special #1 and a margorona with a side of queso. It took a while for the food to come once I ordered but I didn't mind as I hoped that equated to fresh and hot. NOPE food was Luke warm at best. Beans were watery. Hands down the worst chile relleno I have ever had. The pepper wasn't cooked at ALL and it was only one quarter of a pepper with ground beef thrown on top to boot. Guacamole is the disgusting stuff from a store out of a bottle. Last but not least my margarita was neon green. Now... the woman next to me ordered a chicken fajita lunch special and it looked great. If you're hangry I'd risk it...if not pass them up. read more

I experienced the worst service ever here! No matter how good the food or drinks are, I will never patronize a business that acts like they don't want my money. Stopped in to get a simple margarita. The guy at the door directed me to sit at the bar. I had 2 different people ask about why I was sitting there and when I explained why they said ok just to have the same guy come back to me and say can you move to a table. Ok, done. Waited and waited over 20 mins after ordering the 1 drink 3 times and never got it. Then the rudest lady approached me to ask if I had been helped and I said no I was just trying to get a margarita. This place was good in the past, but the last two times I've been here it is absolutely terribly disgusting. The chips are always stale and the salsa tastes like ketchup and marinara. One time they gave me the wrong order, and I couldn't eat that disgusting slop they put in front of me. The waitress didn't check on me for 30 minutes, and then she came back and offered to correct my meal, but I had somewhere to be, so I skipped a meal that day. This last time, I ordered a quesadilla and the meat was rancid, there were multiple hairs, random grains of rice (this meal doesn't come with rice) and what looked like flem and spit inside the quesadilla. The food here is pretty good- not mind blowing- and definitely not worth the 45+minutes we spent waiting for the food to get to our table. The food here is really good. The drinks are usually too. The only complaint I would have about those two things are the chips are always pretty stale and they charge extra for just about everything. But the worst thing about this place is the step in manager/waiter named Cesar. He is by far one of the rudest people I have met in my life. You ask him for simple things on the menu and he looks at you like you are the dumbest person on earth. He is always very sarcastic and extremely insulting. I am always so thankful when he is not our waiter. Not only does he have the worst attitude and customer service skills I have ever seen, he also bullies the fellow waiting staff.
