    Vegetarian platter
    Lisa F.

Hands down the best vegetarian dish I've ever had in Columbia, SC. I ordered the vegetarian platter which came with enchiladas (both bean and cheese) and a cheese stuffed poblano. What set this apart from the others is that each sauce was different and was more delicious than the previous sauce. The rice and beans were fluffy & flavorful! I ordered a Paloma which was spot on and then I saw the jalapeño tequila. Needless to say the spicy Paloma was perfection. This is a clean place with lots of space. The music was poppin and staff was amazing with such a diverse Latin crowd. I may have been back a few times since my check in but hey... that means they're worth it!

The food was great. I got the mole. The sauce was rich and delicious. The service was fast and friendly. I wouldn't come here again tho bc of the parking. I would do pick up or delivery tho. The parking lot is tiny and tight. Even finding a space in front was stressful bc the spots are so small. I am not sure where additional parking was. So in summary. I recommend the food.... but not the parking.

Chicken Mole street corn and Blue Lagoon margarita
    Diane B.

I ordered the chicken mole with rice & beans and a piece of Mexican Street corn. I had the Blue Lagoon margarita, which was very good. Also got churros which were disappointing. Filled with some kind of sauce that I didn't care for. I expected traditional churros. The chicken mole was good. The beans and street corn were good but I thought the rice was a little undercooked. The service was good. I was surprised to see a $1.55 fee on the check. The waitress said it was for a credit card transaction fee. I didn't mind paying it but I've never seen that at a restaurant before. I assume most include it in their prices.

We stopped by here on our way home. The environment was friendly and the food was great. Served fast. The only downfall I have is the waitress we had wasn't very friendly and she never like asked us if we needed anything. The cheese dip is a must.

    Inside. Bit small but delicious!

Excellent Mexican food. Service was solid. Margaritas were fine. Cheese dip and salsa was very good.

That was a cheesesteak burrito. Yum

Great food and ambience. Service is slightly on the slow side. Still waiting on the check thinking 4 stars...

    Chori Chicken
    Alicia J.

The Chori Chicken was delicious! The chorizo had a nice spiciness to it and was nicely charred. This place is adjacent to a Mexican market and easily missed. I ordered through the phone and my order was prepared in a timely manner. To top it off the food is reasonably priced. This place offers solid food and I would return. I can't wait to try the rest of the menu.

Bean dip, chips and salsa were good but honestly some of the most salty food I have ever eaten.

It was a mahi-mahi fillet with grilled shrimp, spinach, mushrooms, white wine sauce, and it was served with black beans and rice. The was so full of flavor! The fish was seasoned perfectly. The shrimp was grilled just right, to my liking. Omg, the mushrooms I could have eaten by themselves! They were juicy and scrumptious. Of course, the rice and black beans were good as well. I truly enjoyed it! Let me not forget the white wine sauce. It had a great taste, and you know I love a good wine! My husband ordered the Fajita Nachos. It was filled with corn tortilla chips, grilled onions, bell peppers, with cheese dip, tomatoes, lettuce, sour cream, pico de gallo, guacamole and Jalapeño. Yes, it was a lot and he enjoyed every bite of it! The food was on point. We definitely recommend this place if you are ever in the mood for amazing authentic Mexican dishes. Great customer service, great food along with an awesome atmosphere:)

Although I don't remember the bartender's name, he was such a cool guy and did a great job of introducing me to the restaurant. I got a margarita to drink, which was a little more expensive than most other margaritas I've gotten, but the quality easily made up for the price. To eat, I simply got three (3) cheese quesadillas, as the rest of the menu was a little too complicated for me. Although they're a simple dish, they were still really good! As for the ambiance, Coa was also a really cool, upscale, and atypical Mexican place! I think it nailed the vibe it was going for, and there are few, if any, comparable places in the surrounding area (that I've been to at least!) Overall, Coa was an awesome upscale Mexican restaurant. I loved stopping in, and I will be back in the future. As such, I'd recommend it to anybody looking for the same vibe!

We ordered 3 small plates and the octopus. 2 of the small plates came out and were each missing a component that was on menu description. The tamale was a dry very benign item, that was needing some type of accompaniment. If you are looking for small portions at high prices, this is your place. The 3 small plates and the octopus with an ice tea and a coke was a little over $100 with tip. Columbia is severely lacking an upscale Mexican dinner option and unfortunately Coa continues the trend.
