So getting assistance takes longer. Although this makes for a nice slow meal, if that's what you're looking for! The food however, is still A+! It's the reason I keep coming back again and again. And why when friends come to visit, Maro's is always in the Top 3 places to try in Halton. They consistently serve up fantastic Lebanese food. What a bummer. The Lentil soup was ok but I feel like it didn't taste as authentic as other places I have been. It could have used more spices. The potatoes that came with the meals were just ok. They didn't taste good or bad. However the rice that came with the meals was bland and tasteless. No saffron or anything. Literally around the corner from this place is a restaurant called Sidra and it serves waaaaaaay better Shawarma, Lentil Soup, Kafta (tikka), and their meals come with amazingly flavorful rice and garlic potatoes. You get seasoned chicken breast, pineapple, garlic sauce, your choice of a wholewheat or white pita, and the option to have it prepared spicy, plus BACON. Delicious! Additionally, the portion size is larger than at Monfort's, and I prefer the taste of the garlic sauce at Adonis. The service at Adonis is super friendly. You can tell that it is family owned and operated as it is the same staff working whenever I visit. You also know it is good service if every time you leave walking away thinking that the waitress is flirting with you. Me and my friends all feel this way, which is a good way to leave a restaurant. If anything, it does take a while to prepare your order, so I usually call ahead and take it to go. Overall, I highly recommend Adonis.
