This company FINALLY seems to have solved our mouse problem!! I honestly couldn't be more grateful. Mike came to our house - timely, totally professional, friendly, and very knowledgable about the issue at hand. We had used Kolley's, a company that helped us with our ant problem, but they had NO CLUE how to address our mouse problem (DO NOT use Kolley's for mice - plus the guy who answers the phone is extremely rude!). Mike walked around our house and found several openings in our exterior walls, which seem to have been the entry points for the mice. He also used a much more potent and effective bait than Kolley's. The mice had been multiplying before after Kolley's visit, and we haven't seen a live mouse since Mike first came to our house. I truly was at my wit's end, and I feel like we got our house back. Also, the woman who answers the phone is very nice, polite and friendly. This is the best pest extermination company. I was haunted by mice for two years, and hired many big companies to find out the entryway of mice. I had done all that I can, even put screen on each weep hole, but not one could find out the entranceway of mice. Therefore, those companies just put traps in my home, and I had to throw the mice corpses every month. Fortunately, I found this company! The technician Thomas was like a detective, searching every corner by hand to find any hole on my wall. Finally, after couple hours search, he found a tiny opening under the intake and exhaust of my furnace on the side of my house. He then filled every gaps and potential entrances that mice could take. Do you remember the horror movie where the ants take over and swarm the home? Okay, so it wasn't that bad, but we were dangerously close. I usually set out a few ant baits and use my natural orange spray during ant season and I am fine. But, this year nothing helped. It was super gross and I felt like a prisoner in my own home. So, I called and Pam, a wonderful and pleasant woman, set me up for my first appointment. You pay a fee and their service is guaranteed for 3 months. The first spray the did the whole house top to bottom and sprayed the exterior of the home. But, two weeks later my ants returned. I called Pam and she set me up for another appointment. Mike came out and sprayed the kitchen and the exterior of the house. Okay, I must have had Super Bionic Ants, because three weeks later I called back again. I want to say how nice they were and got me on the schedule the following week. Mike came back out and put major spray and dust all around the kitchen floors. RE: Montgomery Pest Control Mike arrived exactly on time and asked me to explain the problem and situation and then asked me some specific and pointed questions to determine exactly what type of critter was most likely sharing my home. He then made a thorough inspection of the house, inside, outside & attic. Afterwords he took a significant amount of time to discussed with me what he believed was happening and then told me that he felt I needed a "trapper" rather than an exterminator. He thoughtfully recommended a local company he believed in, and then generously told me that I didn't even owe him anything for his time and trouble! Great guy and great company. These. Guys. Are. AWESOME. We hired them a few years ago for a mouse problem, and they truly went above and beyond the call of duty to make our house pest-free--including spending an entire day in our crawl space, which, as it turns out, had a fire hazard in it. They alerted us to the problem right away, and, in my opinion, potentially saved us from something really scary. They use materials that won't harm pets or animals, and took care of all the "entry points" where a rodent could enter our home. They also sprayed the doorways for ants. I reached out to about a dozen pest control companies. There is a mystery biting pest in our house, and we have not been able to see it, despite leaving out glue traps. All the companies except Montgomery Pest Control offered to do an inspection, or at least phone conversation to determine the issue. I also named a couple of options (there were biting gnats in the carpet which we removed a couple years ago just after we bought the home, and 7 years ago we had a temporary house guest which brought bedbugs. However, we have not seen a bedbug in over 5 years). I requested a quote for the inspection and treatment. Montgomery Pest Control, unlike the other companies, via their screening employee "Amy" simply responded that they "do not treat bed bugs." Well, fine, the issue may have nothing to do with bed bugs. In fact it could well be gnats, or spiders, but we will never know from their services as they wrote us off without a conversation or inspections. Which feels kind of dismissive and a bit rude. Can't give them a great review for that... going with a company that will at least inspect to tell me what the heck is biting us, and not one that assumes. read more

We wanted to get ahead of the seasonal mouse invasion, and MPC was highly recommended on our listserv. We showed Mike all the places we suspected mice might be getting in, and he did a thorough inspection of the outside and the basement. We really appreciated how attentive he was to our concerns, but what we especially appreciated was what he told us in return. He said our house had been really solidly built (1948), and that he could only see one place where mice were probably getting in--the backyard faucet. I recently purchased an older home and as soon as it got cold, I had some uninvited house guests- mice *and* rats! I caught a couple, but they soon figured out how to swipe the baits without getting snapped. I knew it was time to call in the pros. Since rodents multiply fast, cause lots of damage, and are pretty smart, I didn't want to waste any time. I consulted with 5 or 6 different companies to compare my options. The majority missed entry points on the outside of my house and tried to use fear tactics to lock me into expensive service contracts with no end in sight. Montgomery Pest isn't like that. I spoke with their main office, and they were super nice and said I could talk to a specialist before making an appointment. They said they'd have one call me in the next hour or so. Right on time, I got a call from Lance, and was impressed with how knowledgeable he was about these critters, and the various methods he used to get rid of them. He came to check out the house the next day. The other companies rushed through, but Lance did a thorough inspection and took the time to answer all of my (endless) questions, as well as my mom's. Seriously, he had the patience of a saint. He was incredibly nice, honest, and noticed the potential issues that the other exterminators missed. Their pricing was lower than any of the others that I met with, their warranty was better, and when I said that I did not want to use poison (I have a dog), he did not push the issue, and instead offered other trapping/exclusion solutions. I cannot say enough about this Montgomery Pest Control. They deliver with professionalism, cleanliness, and heart. I called them because I received an estimate for nearly $8000 for squirrels in my attic from another pest control company. They came in, ascertained quickly that I had no squirrels, but I did have birds in my gutters who are nesting. They sealed all the vacant gutters. What was most remarkable, is that they left two of the gutters that had baby birds in them and said they would be back after the baby birds grew up and flew away. I don't know about you, but I have never had service like this before. I love the fact that they didn't just want to take the baby birds out of the nest at any cost, and I love the fact that they were so affordable. As a sidenote, they noticed I had some huge pine tree branches that had come down from the windstorm. They asked me if I would mind if they remove them for me too (who does that!??!). I said of course not, and was so pleased that they dragged them into the woods for me. Then they asked me for rake, and that's when I told them no no no no..,they are so kind. Great company. Very informative on the phone and I got a quick appointment. They came to treat our house for a flea infestation, and they were very knowledgeable. As it turned out, they did not treat since our cats still have fleas. They informed us that the product we were using to kill fleas on the cats is ineffective since the fleas have developed resistance to it. We called because we saw a few little mice from underneath our water heater closet door. Our neighbors recommended them to us. They came out the next day and were able to pinpoint exactly where they were coming into the house from. They were able to spray rodent proof foam in all the vulnerable areas outside and inside and laid bait around the points. This service was also cost effective!
