Definitely an above average hotel here in Montreal…read more Technically, the hotel is not in Montreal, but instead in Longueuil (Don't ask me to pronounce it), which is a city directly east of Montreal. It's only about a short 15 minute drive from Montreal's city center, so it's very conveniently located. In addition, the rooms were shockingly inexpensive, so if you don't want to spend an arm and leg, but still be pretty close to the city center, this IS the hotel to stay at. We found the rooms to be clean and spacious enough for 3 people. The mini fridge in the room wasn't exactly super cool for storing cold beverages, but it worked. There is also a free continental breakfast every morning from 6-10am, where they have boiled eggs, muffins, pastries, cereal, juices, milk, coffee and fruits. It's not the greatest hotel complimentary breakfast ever, but we thoroughly enjoyed it, especially the addictively delicious chocolate croissants! Also, there is a very large parking lot for hotel guests on the premises so you won't have trouble finding parking here. It's free for guests and can only be accessed with a room key. If you're visiting Montreal, this hotel is as good as it gets in terms of having all of the amenities you need to have an enjoyable stay - relatively inexpensive, clean rooms, free parking for guests, complimentary breakfast. And DO NOT leave without trying those chocolate croissants during breakfast! Need I say more???

Check out was at noon which is nice. The complimentary breakfast was simple and delicious. There are fresh made croissants and other pasties, hard boiled eggs and cheese, cereals, yogurt and fresh fruit. Also they have a latte machine which made great lattes. The room was very clean. It was under a ten minute walk to the yellow line which will take you downtown so that was convenient. Free parking was great as well. Would recommend this hotel!

After hosting a couple Yelp camping trips in collaboration with this awesome space I was happy to…read morego back this week to just take a relaxing hike en famille. Parking is $7 which I'm happy to pay to support the staff and facilities maintained at this beautiful location. We followed the hike towards the Chalet Érablière, such a pretty and well marked meander up the mountain toward the pretty little wood cabin which you can rent affordably, lug your stuff in and feel at peace in the woods far from everything. We explored a bit more and then went back down and over to the other side to the spectacular gorge and falls and rapids tucked surprisingly here on the edge of Mont Tremblant national park. There are a small number of lovely campsites along the water, and educational signs about the local fauna. This space also hosts cool interactive community events like night snowshoes which we can't wait to participate in when our kiddo is a bit older.

I write this review solely to share what I learned about it from my experience to bring attention to this not-yet-well-known campground that deserves to be shared because it is incredible! And I can fairly give it 4 stars because even if, for whatever reason, it cost 50$ a night to stay here: it's worth it. Location: Even despite Mtl's insane construction cluster f*ck of a highway nightmare it was still fairly easy to get to n from. A beautiful drive into the mountains just south of Mont Tremblant, fairly close to a kyoot lil town with anything you could need (Gas station, a market with an SAQ service point, some adorbs lil restaurants etc.) This campground is literally right next to beautiful waterfalls!!! Campsites: Tent-camping or renting cabin(places) ONLY. Not trailer accessible. none of them were numbered...so i'm not sure how one would go about picking or reserving a site in particular. Not sure about the costs per night either. They're small with prearranged zones to put your tent. The tents can't be large either, I got away with pitching a 6-person but it hung off both corners and I had to pitch it diagonally. Each site is equipped with a stone rimmed fireplace and a picnic table that can be moved if need/want. (See photos). It is maximum 4 ppl per site. Scenery: Beautiful gorgeous waterfalls in the mountains, typical Quebec forestry. Incredibly breathtaking and worth it if not just for a day visit, but honestly there is something to be said about falling asleep and waking up in the sound of rushing waterfalls. Weather: We were fairly lucky. It only rained for a coupla hours on the Saturday we were there and the weather was unusually warm, even at night. I would think that usually it would liken to most other mountain weather, hot in the day cold at night and can be rainy or sunny from one minute to the next so bring warm dry clothes and set up tarps asap. Commodities/Accommodations: - NO PETS ALLOWED, NADA!!! :( - *NO FOOD ALLOWED ON THE CAMPSITES* Must leave food in car and I'm not entirely sure how one would go about preparing meals: possibly at the Camp Administrator's cabin site ? We cooked our food on a propane grill Yelp rented at the cabin which was also rented by Yelp for our event. Call to ask about this. - Bringing coolers of beverages IS PERMISSABLE on the campsites so you won't hafta go thirsty and alcohol is permitted on the campsites/cabins as well. - *NO DRINKABLE WATER (it smells like sulfur and is fine to use to clean dishes or wash hands and whatnot they just recommend not drinking it). - Your sites are ONLY WHEELBARROW ACCESSIBLE meaning you park your car elsewhere and trek all your stuff about 2-5 minutes down a slope and then back up that hill when you're leaving - Dry vaults only. No flushable toilets, no sinks, no showers. (Just go rinse off in the waterfall and don't expect to stay too long). - A great location for a large group camping experience to be able to camp close to one another community style or rent a big cabin together - Wood costs 12$ for a whole wheelbarrow full. It is an extremly generous portion and is kept dry in a shed, it burns great and cuts great (don't forget your axe, no kindling). - I'm not sure about the ice situation either, I assumed it wouldn't be available so I filled my cooler with 3 bags of ice before arriving (which lasted my 2 night stay for our drinks). Worst case scenario though, as previously mentioned, the town is a 15 minute drive away so no biggy. (Call to ask about this too.) Activities: Many hiking trails, somewhat treacherous, of all lengths and expertise levels. However I do not recommend the Bas De Chutes trail for children under 12-13, pregnant women, babies in carriers, or anyone with a physical disability because it is fairly steep, full of rocks and roots, slippery and just dangerous actually if you're not extremely careful. If you are able to safely get down there, go for a swim near both water falls (bring watershoes), the water is fantabulous. Beware the rocks and the spontaneous depths of water (make sure you're a good swimmer and watch your knees for the rocks that appear out of nowhere!). We were able to swim right up to both falls and sit on the rocks in the rushing water which was extremely kool! Wildlife: There were signs indicating presence of various animals (even coyotes), but we only saw a few chipmunks (some with incredible attitude) and a few birds. There were quite a few species of mushroom though which are always kool to me (see photos). All in all...I would rather keep this place to myself, but they really deserve the attention so I'm sharing the love. Those who know me, know I prefer being able to park at my site, cook on my fire at my site, have a flush-toilet option, and that bringing my dog Irie is a MUST for me...and still, I have to say: I definitely will be back!

The cost was pretty reasonable, about $25.00 USD per person for a 1.5-hour tour. I found the tour very informative. The tour was concentrated to the Old Montreal section of the city and on the Saint Charles River. Our guide was very good and it was nice way to get to know the city on a rainy day. 3.5 stars.

I'm going to go with other reviewers on this one... the land tour was congested and we saw more on foot. It was good (not great). Going in the water was cool and you did see a lot of features including a cruise boat, the city skyline, the Expo 67 condos (weird architecture), the spa, and several other areas. Difficult to find! They need more signage for sure. I walked all over trying to find it. Its actually in a small tent on the street. However that being said its not very popular and we were able to walk on (after purchasing tickets) on a Saturday for the next ride. The tour guide was OK. It was both in French and English. Overall I'm glad we did this! Perhaps if the city streets weren't as busy they could plan a better route and go down near Jacques-Cartier Place where the La Grande Roue and clock tower was and some of the town halls, churches were.

Also, whether from the street side or the parking lot side, you're going to have a hard time getting around with a large suitcase. And if you yourself are larger than average (even if you are simply tall), the bathroom may also be a struggle, as it is really smushed into a small space. All that being said, it is a beautiful building and you can't beat the location. It is right by a subway station and in easy walking distance to Bell Centre. I felt perfectly safe walking back after the Hab's game. And leaving was pretty convenient too, as it is really close to a highway ramp.

For example, there is no elevator and you must carry everything up the outdoor stairs to the lobby.. so if you have a disability or not able to schlep you luggage at the start, you might consider SENS, their modern sister hotel immediately across the street! (Note - They do have people to help with your bags once you reach reception!) In wonderful, historic 100+ year old row houses that began being converted to a boutique hotel and joined together starting in 1958, Château Versailles offers cozy rooms, some (not mine) even have fireplaces. Although facing Sherbrooke, a busy street, my well-kept, top floor room remained totally quiet - perfect for relaxing after a full day enjoying the city. It was also stocked with Nespresso machine, that helped kick off my day. There's a lot within walking distance including the Metro, yet the hotel provides a more intimate space, with their complementary Continental Breakfast and Afternoon Tea in their "Le Boudoir" room. Check out the artwork also on that floor and throughout the building. Although I didn't take advantage of it, there's a gym as well. Definitely, would consider staying again at Château Versailles.

I booked one night with the Chateau Versailles through Expedia. I cannot recommend this hotel to…read moreanyone, and certainly not for the price range. I do not understand how this is supposed to be a four star hotel. We checked in at 3pm. Upon entering the room, it felt unreasonably hot. Upon using the bathroom, I noticed that the toilet paper was hot to the touch - and it was because heat was blasting from the heater directly beneath it. I looked and saw that the heat knob in the bathroom was set to about 25C/80F. I checked the other knob outside of the bathroom which set the heat for the main room, and it too was turned all the way up. Two heat sources, both turned as high as possible before we arrived. In late August. With all of the windows closed. Bizzare. We frantically tried to open the windows and turn the AC up, only to find that the air conditioning did not work properly. Two AC vents on either side of the room, only one worked at all and it could only be felt very slightly if we sat at the table practically on top of that vent. If we put our hand over it we could feel air coming out, but it was like a fan on low - very weak, and not really cold in the way you would expect air conditioning to be. We were exhausted from having had a very long day up to that point, but we needed to get out of the room asap because it was so hot so we made plans to leave to get dinner nearby. And right before we left for dinner, we noticed mold in the bathroom. Neither of us had the energy to do anything about it right at that moment, so upon getting dinner and getting back to the hotel I reported the mold to the front desk. This took place about 4 hrs after our 3pm check in. The woman at the reception desk, upon my reporting that the heat had been turned up all the way and the air conditioner did not seem to work, and that the bathroom had mold, and that I have health issues that make both of these things a serious issue? Her response was, "Sorry...and was the mold in the room when you checked in this morning?" As if to suggest that we brought the mold with us? I explained that we actually hadn't been there that morning, we had in fact checked in 4 hours prior, and that regardless there would be no way for mold to develop that rapidly...so, yes, the mold was preexisting to our arrival. She offered nothing, no suggestions or problem-solving...just another flat, apathetic, "Sorry ". I requested that we be moved to another room, because this was a problem for any hotel room and certainly for my health. And I was told that that would not be happening as they were "fully booked" for the evening...I was flummoxed and exhausted, was offered no options and had no idea what to do. We had no place else to sleep for the night, they had our car keys and Chateau Versailles offers no hospitality, in fact I was amazed by how inhospitable the space and service was all-around. When I tried to file a complaint with Expedia, they called the hotel and were informed by Chateau Versailles that because we stayed for the night they were not able to refund our stay. Mind you, we did not want to stay at all, and wanted to leave immediately upon finding the mold. But we could not afford to book a last minute room elsewhere, we're exhausted after a long day, and had already paid for the valet service, and the person at the reception desk offered us no options.

I really wanted to love this place. I certainly did from the website when I booked our rooms…read more I will say that the staff here and the front desk were all extreme nice and accommodating. Checked in and they told me that they'd upgraded me from my deluxe suite to the Terrance suite on the top floor. That was a nice surprise. Until I saw the room. It was a bit underwhelming. The modular furnishings seemed cold. There were certain details missed like soiled pillows on the sofa and exposed cords and power strips for the televisions. None of it was bad. It just didn't seem higher end like I was expecting. They told us during check in that they'd only make up our room if we had this hung on our doorknob. We did not hang it (as we didn't want our room made up) but that didn't stop the staff from knocking on our door at 8am or from coming back at 4pm while we are out. Bit confusing this was. The beds were nice and the linens were clean. It wasn't noisy. Had a decent nights rest. They had elevators which are not as common in this neighborhood as you'd think. Overall, it was a fine experience. For the price point I paid, I don't know that I'd return.
