What I didn't like were the two young men standing in front of Dillard 's trying to sell two baby snakes. Seems like security would tell them to go outside. I don't like snakes small or large. We continued looking and shopping. I went to a store that I have never been to Five Below. I bought a phone charger, some candy, an electric scrubber and a coffee mug. I miss coming here as we no longer have a daughter attending UOP. It was one of our routine stops when we drove out to visit her. Products range from Japanese dishes, snacks, rice, tea, sauces, meats, frozen items, and even fresh sashimi and prepared salads. Near the register they usually have fresh mochi available too. It is such a treat to stop by and see what's in stock.

Probably one of my favorite that I found here so far was Podesto's market. It reminded me of Draeger's. They have a lot of that one of a kind find specialty foods, great bakery, but also stocks the usual branded products. Pricing was inline with Safeway and Trader Joe's. What sets Podesto apart, their local neighborhood feel. I'll have to do a separate review on Podesto as I need to do more exploring. Really great market. Speaking off, I haven't had the chance to explore the whole Lincoln Center yet, but I did love their sitting area located at the Brickwalk. We were greeted by one worker that was stocking upon walking in, once it was time to check out nobody was there, so I looked around and seen 3 woman working, but just talking and said I could self checkout.. But I'm hella old or at least I feel like it, so when I turned around and seen the self checkout... Thankfully the same girl who greeted me upon walking in, checked me out. So that was appreciated! She showed me where a few things were. The last time I shopped at Daiso, everything was $1.50. Now, they're up to $2.25 and some items are more. Most things are Japanese designs made in China. They always seem to be of good quality, and that's what matters to me. I found my drinks and some curry packets for the person who lent me their car. I found a tablet that will help me work on my writing with a brush that I haven't done for years. I even bought something that I am using for a napkin holder. It came to an amazing total and kept me from spending all of my money. I had many other stores to visit.

The burned down Royal has been an eyesore and while it has finally been demolished, it stands vacant just inviting homeless to hang out there. I do enjoy the events that are held here like the monthly car show and I am hopeful that in the future more will be done do restore this once cool area of town.

There are plenty of shopping options to choose from, and I appreciate the value and selection available throughout the mall. One thing I tend to avoid is purchasing from the kiosk vendors. They can be very persistent when trying to make a sale. During one visit, a vendor referred to me as "Mexican." While I wasn't personally offended, I would prefer to be addressed more professionally, such as "ma'am" or simply as a customer. The service at Victoria's Secret is always excellent. The staff is friendly and helpful, and they consistently have a great selection of clothing and perfumes that I enjoy. Overall, it's a nice mall with a good variety of stores and shopping opportunities.
