Patience: After I had my car accident, an extremely tactless tow truck company picked up my vehicle. Almost a week later Moody's called me to ask where my car was, because they hadn't seen it or heard from the tow truck company about when it might be coming in. Come to find out, the tow truck driver had just dropped it off in the Moody's lot, chucked the keys in it, and never told anyone about where it was. This delayed the repairs by five business days and left my car at risk of being stolen. Moody's, however, handled this situation with grace and empathy towards me, and I appreciated their unabashed frustration towards the tow truck driver, because I too was livid at him, and it felt nice to have that solidarity after such a terrible week. Professionalism: It seemed like Don from Moody's called me every few days to update me on my car (and this was through the holidays). He never spoke down to me, at me, around me, or through me. He spoke with me like I knew something about cars - this doesn't always happen as I'm a small, young-looking female. I appreciated them for treating me with respect. Customer service: when I picked up my car, the lady at the front desk couldn't have been kinder, more thoughtful, or more friendly (also the Moody's space could have been a doctor's office, it was so clean and modern - nothing at all like the "car repair shop" image I think most of us have). Also, I think she might have been Mrs. Clause in another life, because she all but hugged me and offered me cookies - that's how comfortable she made me feel. I so appreciated that the process of getting my car back was easier than I ever could have imagined. Quality repairs: I couldn't be happier that Allstate chose Moody's as their preferred auto body repair shop. At first I was so irritated that I had to drive all the way to Biddeford, but in the end I'm happy to have used them. I have no doubts that my car is back to working order! But: In reality this is a 4 1/2 star review NOT a 5 star review because about a week after having my car back I realized that all the plastic nuts that locked the lining of my trunk down and in were missing. Obviously they had been removed when Moody's put in the new trunk, but never put back. Now the lining to my trunk is just sort of laying there unattached. It doesn't impede driving or even the use of the trunk, and it's nothing I can't fix myself (but I shouldn't have to), so Moody's misses the mark just slightly by this oversight. read more

My husband has a 2012 Prius in mint condition. Ten years ago a deer hit his rear passenger door. We brought it to Moodys, they repaired after two tries. Fast forward 4 years and that spot began to rust/bubble over the wheel well. We brought it back to Moodys who refused to honor their lifetime guarantee work saying the rust is due to age. There is not another spot of rust anywhere on the vehicle to this day. Shame on Moodys. We will never go back there again. read more

Brought car to Moodys in early April after I was in a car accident. An appraiser came out, sent quote to insurance company, all was agreed upon. An amendment was needed, done fine, and car was returned to me apprx 2 months later. The car was not completely fixed however. I called Moodys and spoke with "Moodys Employee 1" who said it was probably just rust from sitting for so long. Drive it for a bit, jam on the brakes to clear the rust. After a bit, no success. I call them back, brought it in and ME1 test drove it, recognized the brakes were not correct. Said he would order parts, call me when they were in, and finalize the repairs. I emailed my insurance company to keep them aware. My rep had been in contact with Moodys all along and had already paid out the claim. Another amendment would be needed. This was July 23. I kept calling Moodys every couple weeks to check on "parts". Eventually in September, now passed on to Moodys Employee 2 who said they're too busy, but would take the car in, flatbed it to dealership to fix because they were so behind on jobs. I did this and received rental car on Sept 29. ME2 called same day, left a message saying car was fixed, still at dealership and he would call back when it arrived. My car has an app that has current gps location. I did not hear from ME2 again. My app showed car was still at dealership. Despite this, and giving it some time (considering it has now been 6 months since my car first went in. I thought they were really understaffed and really behind) called to inquire as to when I could get my car. Was informed ME2 was no longer employed there. Passed back to ME1. ME1 said all is complete and they'd been calling me to come get it. I never received a voicemail after ME2 said he would call again. I go in next day to return rental (Kia) and pick up my car (Volvo). Everything was fine when I did this. Nobody mentioned that I would be charged for the rental car or any portion of it. A week later, I receive a call from Enterprise Rental Car. Moodys refusing to pay the bill now. I call my insurance company for advice. The insurance company said that not only did Moodys not contact them, nor did they submit another amendment, but they are not allowed to subcontract out repair work. Especially when my car was still under warranty. The insurance company did not sign off on the brakes. A lot went wrong and concerned the insurance folks. My insurance company is doing an investigation as is my credit card company for the rental car charge. Moodys refusing to accept responsibility for all of the rental car days and never told me I would be charged for it or any part of it. I have also been advised to report them to the Bureau of Motor Vehicles. read more

I went to the Moody's in Wells, ME..... On 12/9/20 a giant piece of ice fell onto my car from the overhead structures of the Pisquata River Bridge In Kittery, ME. While I was on the side of the road researching collision repair centers I came across Moody's. The gentleman I spoke with was was very kind, understanding and extremely helpful. Moody's had my car from around 12/10/20 or 12/11/20 (issues with the separate towing company) until today 12/23/20. The original estimate of damage was about $1600. Due to all of the delays in shipping and the holidays, it took much longer to get all of the parts to repair my car. They also ended up finding additional parts that needed to be replaced. Moody's worked with my insurance company as well as the car rental company to make my life a little easier. They also communicated with me throughout the process so I would know what was going on with my car, deliveries, and repairs. The surprise repair that was missed by my insurance company (now a $2000 estimate) was not part of the bill when I picked my car up, instead they are working directly with the insurance company to have it covered. I was also able to drop the rental off at Moody's so I didn't have to make another trip. My only concern when I got the car was the missing July 2020 inspection sticker. They managed to find someone in Christmas Eve to replace it for me. In my drive home I did find that there were still tiny shards of glass on the passanger side seat, in between both front seats and in the center cup holders. I was able to clean up most of it myself. Overall, I give Moody's a 4 out of 5 as they did a great job! read more

After getting in a t bone accident my insurance recommended me to go here for body repair as it was close to my school. I cannot stress enough how much time and money I absolutely wasted here. So they did the original repair and it looked fine to me.. then upon driving away I realized that my front hood was not latched at all, and now was unable to latch which was not originally a problem, and that after I had bought (with my own money from autozone) a low beam bulb for them to replace - they had simply taken the bulb and not installed it in my car. I called them promptly, obviously very upset that they let me drive my car away with an extreme safety hazard that was not originally a problem AND had pocketed my light bulb I had bought instead of installing it. They instantly apologized and told me to bring it back and called me that it was ready again a few days later. All seemed good, the light was installed now and the hood closed. Now fast forward 2 months, the hood is fully unlatched again and will not latch and the same low beam bulb they supposedly replaced with the brand new bulb i bought that they had originally pocketed is out again while the other side has not gone out throughout this whole time period. Essentially seems that they were annoyed that I actually pointed out the huge mistakes they made on my car after they thought they could scam a young college student and then put little effort into temporarily fixing it to get me off their backs. However, I go to school right by here and have made sure to tell everybody i know to stay FAR away from here, and now i'm telling you all the same. Don't even bother wasting so much time and money for them to create problems with your vehicle that weren't even originally part of the reason you came in. I will say they did decent on the body work on replacing my door and side panel, however I cannot get over the fact that they let me drive my vehicle with such a dangerous hazard and then followed that up with only temporarily fixing the problem.. Going to contact my insurance to see if there is anything they can do to get me a refund from Moodys or have them ACTUALLY fix my car this time. read more

I came in with a very small job and was treated to the best customer service I have had - anywhere / ever! I think a real a test for a business is how they treat you when the benefit to them is very small. In my case, my job was so small it had zero benefit to them.
