Great place for coffee and I highly recommend the scones. The space may be small but there is a fantastic outdoor space and in the winter, the indoor space is cozy, with lots of great games and coffee table books. In the winter, I love warming up with coffee and in the summer it's a great place to enjoy your afternoon after a hike or mountain biking. Great service and incredible quality! Definitely worth the stop when visiting WP. It's across from Randi's and The Peak Brewery WP. Lots of outdoor seating and indoor seating options. I loved the cold brew and the pumpkin mooncake. We wanted to try the yummy scones too but had a huge breakfast already. I had my eyes on the jalapeño cheddar but opted to share the berg large pumpkin mooncake instead. We stopped in after camping and paddle boarding in Grand Lake and wanted some coffee fuel for the drive back to Denver. When we drive through mountain towns we try our best to support local from the coffee shops to hardware stores to grocery stores/markets to small bars and restaurants. This coffee shop is definitely a local favorite and we can see why! The bright blue patio tables and beautiful hanging flowers outside welcomed us to stop and grab a cup of coffee. The patio was also doggie friendly and our boxer lab loved chilling in the shade while we enjoyed our coffee in the sunshine. I also loved the assortment of plants inside with decorative & colorful pots. The baristas are personable and friendly. Plus, they serve their lattes with cute foam art too. This is a pretty cool place and has something for the adults and kids alike. It also has something for the kids in each of us adults. The candy part of the shop seems to be a different owner but two places in one is good either way. We stopped here on the way to a hike. The gent inside wasn't open for a few more minutes but he was kind enough to let us in. It was cold out there and the warm drinks and scones inside were a big hit. It all smelled great. This is the best overall coffee shop experience in Grand county. The coffee is fantastic, the baristas are carefully trained and know how to pull proper espresso shots. The beans are always fresh and not over-roasted. Good milk options including oat milk, which closely replicates traditional milk without all the hangups of milk. The shop itself is incredibly cute and comfortable, with warm wood tones and good diffuse lighting and tons of really nice plants everywhere. The patio is also really nice and comfortable, with bench seating in the shade at the front of the building and plenty of tables to enjoy the magical mountain summers. The food is also incredibly good. Scones and muffins are made daily and always fresh, and find a perfect balance of sweet but not overly sugary. The breakfast sandwiches are absolutely delicious and are probably the best option in town for a hot but still fast breakfast (perhaps matched by the breakfast burritos at Lion Head coffee, depending on taste) and they are very affordable for Winter Park. If you like coffee shops at all you absolutely must make this place a stop on your trip, and if you're a new local definitely give Moon Frog a shot, they will definitely deliver. read more

I really wanted to like this place. It was walking distance from where I was staying. A nice stop when out walking the puppy each morning. After trying 3 different drinks (chili turmeric, chai sweet/spicy mix, and chai spicy) I have the same complaint: flavor. I got the largest size of all 3 drinks and the little candies placed on top were the best part of each drink. I don't know if they use the same amount of flavor for each sized drink but it's not enough. It was mostly a milky drink (organic which I loved!) but only a hint of flavor, if that. Some sips just tasted like warm milk. The people working here were all nice, helpful but held back on the syrupy flavor when they should have been pouring more in (I'm the type who has Starbucks cut back on the syrup in my drinks - usually 1/2 of what they normally put in). After 3 days, 3 different drinks, and over $15 spent, I won't be back. read more
