Came here for breakfast (opens at 7 despite their website saying 8). Kids enjoyed the waffles, breakfast bagel sandwiches were also very good. I was a little surprised though that bagels by themselves were $6.50 which I thought was a little pricey compared to the sandwiches and other dishes which were more reasonable. read more

Service was very slow. Latte was only Luke warm after the long wait and came long after the sandwich. Also the croissant sandwich had no taste and hardly included anything. Very little stuff I basically paid 13 for a croissant. Very disappointed with my breakfast. read more

The employees were very friendly which is the best part of the restaurant. The baked goods looked nice, but we did not try them. Breakfast items are very expensive and so so for quality. For example a simple bowl of oatmeal served with brown sugar and 1/2&1/2 was over $10 before taxes and tip. It is served, like all the breakfast items, in a to go container and considering the price should have been in a real bowl for in store eating. The espresso flavor was disappointing. It actually was more like Folgers in flavor and texture than a real espresso. During the summer high season the line is long in the morning. Overall just so so of a place. There are two others in town which have better espresso and morning foods. read more

We had rolled into the Grand Lake area after spending the morning in GCNP, looking for a place to eat. Yelp provided us with two promising options, one that Yelp SAID was a breakfast place (but was just a coffee and tea place) and one that sounded awesome (but provided little parking). So we drove down the street to the Blue Water Bakery. It's a fine spot. There's plenty of seating indoors and a few tables outside. The crew is young and mostly Eastern European, judging by their accents. (Immigrants? Likely young adults on summer work visas, but I didn't confirm.) The Blue Water Bakery offers a good selection hot and cold drinks, and a small but tempting menu of breakfast items. We opted for the wraps, the meat wrap and the Taos wrap. Good food with good presentation. Indoors there are many tables and chairs for patrons to sit and enjoy. The best part: two restrooms next door, open to the public. Go there just to see the artwork on the walls. read more

Swift service and terrific coffee! We got a kitchen sink cookie and chocolate chip cookie. Both were decadent and delicious. They had indoor seating but the weather was amazing and we sat outside at the patio tables under the little umbrellas and with the gorgeous flowers. Be cautious if ordering gluten-free. I asked them for a salad which they confirmed was gluten-free and dairy free. I told them I had an allergy. After picking up the order and going home, I opened my salad box and noticed there was bread on top. I called and they confirmed that the bread was not gluten-free bread. If you are placing a gluten-free order please make sure to either specifically ask for no bread or for gluten-free bread as they may otherwise include the bread (if I recall, there was no mention of bread on the salad menu). On our phone conversation, they apologized for the mistake but made no offer to rectify the error. On the plus side, the rest of my non-gluten free family loved their meal. So this is more of a critique of their handling of gluten free options. read more

Visited on Sunday, July 16th at 3:30. The clerk was incredibly snarky and condescending. Had to repeat order multiple times and she still got it wrong. Mother ordered peach coffee cake and it was disgusting. She said it tasted raw and dry. I had a apple coffee cake and likewise, it was very dry and the apples tasted like dehydrated apple slices. Our coffee was ice cold and the iced dirty chai tasted like there was no chai at all in it. Cannot recommend this place at all. I want to love this place. The line out the door suggests everyone else loves this place. I'm still not convinced after multiple visits. The cinnamon roll is over sweet, the hot chocolate is "death by chocolate" level of chocolaty, the lemon square has a slightly too salty crust. I ordered an iced tea, but they were out except for the dregs, so the cup was half filled and then taken away to be filled with water: not so strong when I was able to take a sip. Why not offer me another option? Haven't tried any of their heartier offerings yet, but they look delicious. Maybe my next visit will sway me. read more
