Had the brown bear latte and veggie breakfast burrito! Great location right by the lake. Would recommend :)

We had rolled into the Grand Lake area after spending the morning in GCNP, looking for a place to eat. Yelp provided us with two promising options, one that Yelp SAID was a breakfast place (but was just a coffee and tea place) and one that sounded awesome (but provided little parking). So we drove down the street to the Blue Water Bakery. It's a fine spot. There's plenty of seating indoors and a few tables outside. The crew is young and mostly Eastern European, judging by their accents. (Immigrants? Likely young adults on summer work visas, but I didn't confirm.) The Blue Water Bakery offers a good selection hot and cold drinks, and a small but tempting menu of breakfast items. We opted for the wraps, the meat wrap and the Taos wrap. Good food with good presentation. Indoors there are many tables and chairs for patrons to sit and enjoy. The best part: two restrooms next door, open to the public. Go there just to see the artwork on the walls.

Great food and coffee! Definitely worth checking out!! We came for breakfast, and the lunch was fantastic as well.

Darling little place. Right by the lake!

Swift service and terrific coffee! We got a kitchen sink cookie and chocolate chip cookie. Both were decadent and delicious. They had indoor seating but the weather was amazing and we sat outside at the patio tables under the little umbrellas and with the gorgeous flowers. It was cozy and glorious to be so close to the lake on a warm summer day.

Wonderful spot by the water in Grand Lake, Colorado! We went through this town on our way up to the Rocky Mountain National Park. The coffee was delicious! They had gluten free toast which was great! The service was quick. The area all in all was stunning!

The food was decent, but coffee was very good. They use plastic cutlery, so I wish they didn't use plastic

Tofu scramble was ok, cinnamon swirl French toast mediocre. Long line that we didn't feel was worth the wait.

Food is good. Soup was cold. Service friendly. Menu doesn't match what's actually available at prime time - frustrating.

The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful right from the start--especially when my wife was deciding what to order. They even suggested the option of getting a half burrito for half the price, which was a great tip and much appreciated. She went with the Mama's Burrito (with bacon), and I had the Christy Breakfast Burrito. We both had ours smothered in the green chile (pork) sauce--highly recommend. Both were excellent. The chorizo in the Christy was especially well done--full of flavor without being greasy. My wife loved hers, and the half portion ended up being perfect. We also had coconut lattes, which were smooth and really well balanced. Even though you order at the counter, the staff checked in on us several times, which added a nice personal touch. The space is bright and welcoming with lots of natural light. It's in a strip mall, but being on the end gives it a more open feel. The Southwest, slightly kitschy décor fits the vibe well. We noticed a steady stream of regulars and to-go orders, which says a lot. Places don't stay busy--or around this long--without doing things right. If you're anywhere near Granby, this place is absolutely worth a stop.

Bring a jacket or blanket depending on the time of the year but even if it is brisk it will be worth it. The space is cozy just like the mountains. The staff here try to make it happen. At other places a group can be daunting but here they try to make your group happen. It is busy but people are constantly getting up and coming in. Alex was our server and he made sure we were well taken care of. He suggested items, checked in often, made sure things came out in a timely fashion and even showed us photos. The food is so yummy. They have plenty of hot beverages from coffee to decaf to tea to hot apple cider to warm you up. Everyone enjoyed their food, the drinks and the view. We will definitely be back. Don't hesitate

Otherwise, we were mightily disappointed. Saturday, late June ~1pm - we were seated quickly enough. Took a while for the server to take our order (~10 minutes before she came for our drink order) and it took well over 45 minutes for our food to come out! They weren't particularly busy (lots of open tables) and there were a lot of servers. Maybe short staffed in the kitchen? Probably more disappointing than waiting so long was the food itself. Potato soup was "fine" but nothing special and way too much bacon. Three of us got side salads and every single one of us had warm lettuce. Not even room temperature - warm, like it had been sitting under a heat lamp. The turkey panini had way more mayo that should be allowed on a sandwich and the bread was barely toasted. We waited so long for our food we couldn't risk sending it back. As it was, we were there for so long we had to change our afternoon plans to go to RMNP because we rain out of time. Fortunately, we live only an hour away so we can go back. If you are looking to maximize your time in Estes I would not recommend Notchtop. Plenty of other options in Estes.
