Went there with friends for dinner. I didn't like the scan qr code for menu, I prefer to see the entire menu and have it in my hands. Staff was pretty friendly. They bring you fresh bread and pickles to the table (no garlic sauce as it usually is). We had few different menu items and all were good but I definetly had better middle eastern food. Lentil soup had no flavor, had to add salt and pepper, hummus was good, garlic sauce decent and the falafel very average. Definetly missing green color from fresh herbs. It was pretty crumbly too. Not my favorite. Side salad and tabbouli were good. Hubby enjoyed his combo plate except the cream chop which was beef (we are used to chicken). Portions are huge, we had a second meal out of our food. Overall, it was ok. We had much better so I don't think we will be back. read more

Decided to get some carry out from here, so there wouldn't be a need to go back out once I was done running my errands on my day off today. Ordered a chicken gallaba hummus, spicy, cup of lentil soup and a large salad and two skewers of the chicken kafta kabob. The order takes about 20 minutes to make. The salad is decent. It's a good size and the dressing isn't bad either. Some onions would give it more bite and flavor. The hummus is smooth and tasty. Goes well with the chicken gallaba. The lentil soup is so bland and boring. My husband didn't want it, it was that bad. The chicken and veggie gallaba tastes good, nice zesty flavor, but there's tiny bits of chicken and not much to qualify as a meal. What's more is the chicken gallaba is all veggies with a few small bits of chicken in it. I could only find 2-3 pieces in the entire dish. Additionally, this is supposed to be a meal and the grilled veggies takes up 2/3 of the carry out container. The hummus side with the gallaba comes wait two pocket pita and a baggy of store bought flat pita. read more

Best of its class, dare I say the best Mediterranean food I've had in Michigan. Very good bang for your buck here, especially on the bigger platter combinations. However many people they say an item feeds, keep in mind it's AT LEAST 2 portions worth of food per person. Food is delicious, nothing is bad, some of the meats are the best I've ever had. I had the mixed Shawarma sandwich with hummus and tabouli, and it might be the single best Mediterranean/Arabic meal I've ever had in my entire life. I got a groupon for $10 for $20 worth of food. I got the Shawarma combo for $15.99. Which is meat, chicken shawarma. You have to choose between rice, grilled vegetables or fries. Then a choice of soup or salad I chose grilled vegetables and lemon rice soup. The lemon rice soup was really good with a thick consistency and a nice lemon finish. The flavor was really good and I'd come back here for this. The shawarma portions are HUGE. I do wish they would offer rice and vegetables instead of having to choose. This took off some points for me. I'm glad I went with the grilled vegetables the carrots in particular were excellent. I feel they could ease up a bit on the oil but other than that the meal was amazing. I had so much food I had to take some home which is unusual for me. My friend got the Chicken shawarma for $4.19. It consists of garlic, pickle, chicken and tomatoes. It was also bigger than the portions at other similar places. This has become a favorite carry out meal for my husband and I during the holidays after we discovered it by looking for Mediterranean food on Yelp in our area. Every time we call it only takes between 10-20 minutes for the order to be ready depending on how busy they are. Our usual is the chicken shawarma sandwich and dinner platter plus a small fattoush salad. The sandwich and salad are about $5 each and the dinner platter is about $15. The sandwich is always very tasty and not overwhelming with garlic. The salad is a very decent size for small. You can ask them to put the dressing on the side if you do not want to eat it all in one sitting or prefer to control how much dressing is on it. The platter is a lot of food. Depending on how hungry you are, you might be able to get 2-3 small meals from it like my husband does. They sometimes include pita bread for free as an extra when we just order the wrap and salad. I had an UNBELIEVABLY RACIST/PREJUDICE experience. If I could give it negative 5 stars, I would. So, my friend and I sit down and ordered 2 meals. I walked up to the counter and asked then for ice for my friend's hurting ankle. Almost before I could finish, the girl at the counter shook her head and said "no". Then said if I wanted to get ice, to LEAVE their establishment and the get the ice and come back. So I went back to my friend and let him know that they didnt haven't ice for his foot and sat down. Then the girl came to our table to give us water. My friend then asked the same girl if he could have ice for his foot. She said yes, no questions asked, and went to get him ice for his ankle. In ABSOLUTE disbelief of what I just witnessed, I asked her if there was something she didnt understand when I asked her seconds prior. She stumbled over her words, then went inside.We immediately left...I am black my friend is white. I'll let you decide... Regardless, I was lied to. CLEARLY there was a reason I was lied to and discriminated against. So the writing is on the wall. Utterly embarrassed, my friend apologized for racial BS he had witnessed (which he did not need to). I lived in this community for 20 years, and have ate here before, but I will be GODDAMNED before I EVER come back. I have many friends that frequent this establishment and I will share this story with them in hopes that they will, at the VERY least, think twice before coming here to avoid the demeaning, unequal treatment and discrimination I experienced. I wish could go back there and talk to the manager instead of writing this review, but with my experience living in this town for 20 years, that does not work for someone that looks like me. I do not have the PRIVILEGE to do so here.I am having my white friend go up there instead as I know he will be heard and listened to, and the cops wont be called on him. I like this place and food is great but please be careful to double check your bill. Sometime ( and this has happened twice) we got added a service charge of 18% to the bill although we were a party of 3 . 1. I am not sure if the restaurant can legally do that as it's not mentioned in the menu that gratuity or service charges are included . 2. The last time I actually landed up tipping twice without realizing that service charges were included. Not right - Do like what other restaurants do i.e. Either customers can put down their tip as per their choice or put in a suggested tip for customers , adding it to the check and making it mandatory that too for a less than 6 customers I feel is unethical and not notifying customer in the menu is probably not legal. read more

With the limited seating, typically one person works as the waiter and cashier - so when it gets busy, be patient. Pretty standard with Mediterranean cuisine, but they do it well. I bought a LocalFlavor.com (like a Groupon) deal for this place, it's right near my parents' but I had never heard of it. It's a tiny little place, set up almost like a diner. The waitstaff is very friendly. There were a few people doing takeout when we were there too. If you go ANY day of the week between 11am-3pm, I believe it was, they have $5.99 lunch specials, which was a steal - you get a sandwich, rice or fries, and a drink. I got the chicken shwarma (my go-to sandwich for Lebanese/Mediterranean food) with yellow rice and a Diet Coke. We needed to hit $20 still so we got baklava (about $1.29/each) at the end which was also delicious. I think they're still working out some kinks - my mom ordered a different dish than my dad and I but still received a chicken shwarma (but she didn't mind because it was delicious!
