Having enjoyed many Mediterranean dishes from many restaurants previously, I expected this meal to be good, and I believe it met that expectation. The fattoush salad is 20/10....such flavor! Makes a salad cravable..I even liked the tomatoes, and I normal don't eat tomatoes! Their dressing is perfection. This place may be the best value for your dollar for Mediterranean food in Novi! I lived across the street for over a year before trying out the restaurant and I'm kicking myself for all the time missed! It's definitely a chipotle-style, choose what you want restaurant, but they're very willing to accommodate your dietary restrictions and preferences within the scope of their dishes. The ingredients are fresh and flavorful and there's a good selection without it being overwhelming. There's not much of a wait, and you get a great amount of food for the price. The salads are huge and look gorgeous, and pro tip, add chicken to round out the meal (even though it's not on the menu). The hallway back to the kitchen is stuffed with moving boxes and a big wall clock, seems like they never got around to fully unpacking/setting up the dining room? As far as the food, the ingredients seem fresh (i.e. lettuce is not brown). The rice is not seasoned but they will ask if you want it seasoned and then sprinkle it on there -- not the best way to infuse flavor but I'll take it. Like many other reviews here, I agree the chicken does not have much flavor which is disappointing. Service was fairly quick. This place has sandwiches (wrapped pita stuffed with items of your choice), bowls (mixture of items like veggies and sauces of your choice), and some combo entrees for larger parties. Ambiance: Casual, fast food type place. Modern and clean in the restaurant. Food: Falafel - small (5 pieces with garlic sauce subbed instead of tahini). I've been craving some good tasting falafel and haven't been able to find a place close enough to Brighton. This is the first place I've tried where I actually like the flavors and spices they put in it. The only bad is though it was crispy right out of the fryer, it was a bit oily and got a bit spongy when it cooled down. Didn't really matter to me because I liked the flavor. Hummus - small container - I really liked it here. Not overly garlicky, not overly tart from the lemon juice, and just the right amount of salt. It was smooth, but there were some bites that had a small chunks of chickpea(?) here or there, but once again, the flavor was good, so no real complaints. Garlic sauce - got this as the sauce for my falafel. The flavor was perfect to me. Not too tart, not too salty, not an overpowering garlic taste like some have. The only thing was it was a bit oily. Service: The lady at the counter was pleasant and nice when she took my order. The man that handed me the food was friendly and smiley. The concept is great. Mediterranean done like Subway, but I wasn't as impressed with the quality of the food. I had a chicken shawarma and the chicken was dry, the garlic paste tasted like it had mayonnaise in it, the pickles weren't flavorful. I will say I did like their babaganoush. It had a lovely smoky flavor that was surprising yet delicious. The bread was very fresh and the tabouli, while having very little bulgar wheat in it, was lemony the way I like it. The hummus was dry and lacked flavor as well. If this was the only Mediterranean game in town, I'd eat there. But there are so many great Mediterranean restaurants in this area, that I probably wouldn't eat there again. Also, I had a groupon for dinner & they wouldn't honor it for lunch. I get it. We've been here about 10 times over the last 3-4 years, so not that often, but I didn't write reviews back then. Anyway... It's always been solid Mediterranean food, not as food as our favorite Mediterranean places with so many great options, but plenty good enough for a work lunch, etc. The staff has changed, of course, but they have always been friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, our visit last week found the food good, but the hygienic standards not good enough in the COVID-19 world we face today. Two guys behind the counter, one with the mask below even his mouth, meaning it covered nothing but his neck. The other with no mask at all. I'm not going to rant and it may be meaningless to many here, to each his/her own, and with respect. But for us, especially my wife, you're working directly over our food, so she was less than pleased and surprised me by saying she will never come back. This is by far our favorite middle eastern restaurant. They have the freshest food and they truly have a strong focus on quality. We have eaten here on a regular basis since they opened. We come from Dearborn originally and have been enjoying middle eastern food since the 1980's so we are picky about our choices. What makes this place better than other restaurants is that we can see that the food hasn't been sitting around because they make it fresh in front of you. Often times they will make the taboulie to order. Impressive. The owners show a passion for meeting your needs and ensuring that you get their undivided attention and service. I'm sure someone used to grabbing a $3 wrap from a local Lebanese restaurant might be disappointed at the price, but I've got to say that the quantity of meat they put into this wrap made the $7 sandwich worth it. They also offered and added plenty of veggies, including seasoned onions and that crack-like deliciousness called "garlic sauce". The fattoush salad was fresh and crispy and I really enjoyed the bright flavors. They stuffed a lot of goodness into that relatively small bowl.
