Stepson picked this place out to have his birthday dinner. I was a little concerned as I had not been here before. My apprehension did not ease when we walked in as there were not a lot of tables. I asked about menu items as I cannot eat dairy. Was very happy to find out that many items did not have dairy. I ordered the chicken schwarma bowl and loved it! The chicken was moist and seasoned well. I liked how you can select the toppings you desired as I can be a bit finicky when it comes to some food. The best part of my meal was the garlic sauce - yeah, garlic sauce! I mixed some in with my schwarma and mixed a lot into the rice. I had part of meal leftover and it made a great breakfast the next day! read more

It is an nice little place for lunch in Novi . It is a fast casual restaurant that serve meddieteran food. You build your own rice bowl or pita sandwich. The seasoning of the shawarma is not as good as a real restaurant but it is enough for lunch. Average meal is under $9 with tax. Don't get their fries, they sucks. They are fresh but too oily. read more

Try this place before you can't! Stopped here for a random lunch on a random day. Having enjoyed many Mediterranean dishes from many restaurants previously, I expected this meal to be good, and I believe it met that expectation. The fattoush salad is 20/10....such flavor! Makes a salad cravable..I even liked the tomatoes, and I normal don't eat tomatoes! Their dressing is perfection. Atop the fattoush I ordered the chicken shawarma...found it on the drier side, and lacking in flavor, especially compared to the salad. But, for ordering a medium salad, they give a generous amount! The gentleman behind the counter was a joy chatting with. Really amazing service and conversation. He shared they will be closing soon for renovations (until June). So, if you are in the area, and want a delicious healthy meal, head to La Vie (unless they are closed for reno)! read more

Hard pass. Got a chicken shawarma sandwich. The chicken in whatever marinade they use was just gross. If I were to taste that premium type wet dog food, I'd imagine their chicken is what it tastes like. Great size sandwich, PRICCCCCCY. It was like a Mediterranean subway style shop where you build all your toppings and stuff. Not coming back. Service was good. Guy who helped was friendly. that sandwich though was awwwwwful. Weird after taste in my mouth where I literally dont even taste the garlic. read more

This place may be the best value for your dollar for Mediterranean food in Novi! I lived across the street for over a year before trying out the restaurant and I'm kicking myself for all the time missed! It's definitely a chipotle-style, choose what you want restaurant, but they're very willing to accommodate your dietary restrictions and preferences within the scope of their dishes. The ingredients are fresh and flavorful and there's a good selection without it being overwhelming. There's not much of a wait, and you get a great amount of food for the price. The salads are huge and look gorgeous, and pro tip, add chicken to round out the meal (even though it's not on the menu). Keto/ Low carb folks: I'd say get a salad and add some protein to get a good meal here, or get a bowl and ask to have the rice replaced with lettuce (both of which they're very willing to do). Plenty of selections to fit your individual tastes! read more

I would eat here again out of convenience, but this is not the best Mediterranean I've had in SE Michigan. I ordered the Chicken Schwarma Bowl for around $13 with unlimited toppings which I think is a decent price. I took mine to-go but there are a couple of tables you could sit down to eat at. The hallway back to the kitchen is stuffed with moving boxes and a big wall clock, seems like they never got around to fully unpacking/setting up the dining room? As far as the food, the ingredients seem fresh (i.e. lettuce is not brown). The rice is not seasoned but they will ask if you want it seasoned and then sprinkle it on there -- not the best way to infuse flavor but I'll take it. Like many other reviews here, I agree the chicken does not have much flavor which is disappointing. Service was fairly quick. I would only recommend stopping here if you are looking for something quick and cheap nearby. If you are willing to drive further, there's some better options Yelp can help you find. read more

I liked this place! A Mediterranean chipotle style shop, this place boasts good prices for a wide variety of options. I got a falafel bowl and thought it was great! With my added toppings everything came out to a little under 10 dollars. Overall, I highly recommend!!! read more

I went to this place on a weekday after work. Its good place for a take out or have a quick bite.Its like a mediterrian subway.You can order and top your wrap as per your choice. I ordered a falafal wrap & topped it with spicy hummus and garlic paste which tasted amazing. I really loved it and would recommened it to anyone in search of veg items. They have mutiple side plate options like pita chips and hummus if uoh are not in mood for heavy meal.They have couple of bottled drinks/juices incase you want to have a drink with your meal. Quick casual mediterranean restaurant. I just entered to get food before the closing time. Guys greeted with smile as I entered and prepared my order. That's really wonderful to have that at the end of the day. I ordered chicken shawarma bowl and a lentil soup. You have options for toppings like onion, lettuce, pickles, jalapenos, tomatoes, and hummus, garlic sauce etc. Lentil soup tasted average. It was little bitter. Chicken was okay. Nice clean place for Arabic fast food. This place has sandwiches (wrapped pita stuffed with items of your choice), bowls (mixture of items like veggies and sauces of your choice), and some combo entrees for larger parties. Ambiance: Casual, fast food type place. Modern and clean in the restaurant. Food: Falafel - small (5 pieces with garlic sauce subbed instead of tahini). I've been craving some good tasting falafel and haven't been able to find a place close enough to Brighton. This is the first place I've tried where I actually like the flavors and spices they put in it. The only bad is though it was crispy right out of the fryer, it was a bit oily and got a bit spongy when it cooled down. Didn't really matter to me because I liked the flavor. Hummus - small container - I really liked it here. Not overly garlicky, not overly tart from the lemon juice, and just the right amount of salt. It was smooth, but there were some bites that had a small chunks of chickpea(?) here or there, but once again, the flavor was good, so no real complaints. Garlic sauce - got this as the sauce for my falafel. The flavor was perfect to me. Not too tart, not too salty, not an overpowering garlic taste like some have. The only thing was it was a bit oily. Service: The lady at the counter was pleasant and nice when she took my order. The man that handed me the food was friendly and smiley. I would definitely try some of the other items on the menu the next time I go back. read more

Came in for lunch on a quiet day. Served ASAP. Our roll ups were full of delicious food, really full!! So much that we could not eat the baba ghanough we had ordered [ate it later]. Service was fast, super friendly and accurate. Dining room is not fancy, but clean, bright and comfortable. Clean, nice bathrooms, too. read more

We've been here about 10 times over the last 3-4 years, so not that often, but I didn't write reviews back then. Anyway... It's always been solid Mediterranean food, not as food as our favorite Mediterranean places with so many great options, but plenty good enough for a work lunch, etc. The staff has changed, of course, but they have always been friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, our visit last week found the food good, but the hygienic standards not good enough in the COVID-19 world we face today. Two guys behind the counter, one with the mask below even his mouth, meaning it covered nothing but his neck. The other with no mask at all. I'm not going to rant and it may be meaningless to many here, to each his/her own, and with respect. But for us, especially my wife, you're working directly over our food, so she was less than pleased and surprised me by saying she will never come back. I won't go that far yet but there are too many good options to not take customers' health seriously. read more

Pretty good mediterranean food they serve.I had a veggie bowl and a chicken sandwich. Though both were equally filling and tasty. The only thing that bugged me that the rice bowl was a little small and that it was cold so it didn't taste as great as the got toasted chicken sandwich but any which ways had a great meal and i recommend it to everyone at least once. read more

This is by far our favorite middle eastern restaurant. They have the freshest food and they truly have a strong focus on quality. We have eaten here on a regular basis since they opened. We come from Dearborn originally and have been enjoying middle eastern food since the 1980's so we are picky about our choices. What makes this place better than other restaurants is that we can see that the food hasn't been sitting around because they make it fresh in front of you. Often times they will make the taboulie to order. Impressive. The owners show a passion for meeting your needs and ensuring that you get their undivided attention and service. We love their soups, salads, bowls and desserts. You cannot go wrong here. We recommend you try them out and see for yourself. Over the years La Vie continues to be a wonderful restaurant with great fresh food, excellent staff and wonderful prices. read more

This was a fantastic surprise for me! I rarely eat Mediterranean food and in my area there are not many options, so coming across La Vie for lunch while on a conference was wonderful! The service was cafeteria style, but the gentlemen dishing up the food were kind, patient and very helpful! I order steak swarma with their homemade fries and ranch! Wow! It was all good. I can't say best because it was my first, but I can say I truly enjoyed it. I bought pita chips and hummus for home and ate almost all the chips before I got there! Now those I can say were some of the best pita chips that I have experienced. The restaurant was clean and wait staff quick. It was a wonderful experience! read more

I eat so much Lebanese food and this place is amazing. Get the chicken tawook themarinade is so good and the chunks of chicken breast are grilled. So this place is just ok. Nothing here stood out as great and nothing was bad. The process of getting my food was actually not that bad and took all of one min so that was positive. I ordered a chicken shawarma bowl it was pretty filling but nothing special. I got the combo also, this meant I got pita and hummus. The hummus was not very good and the pita was served cold. with a water this came to $10.60.... not really worth it. the restaurant seemed clean and the ingredients were fresh just nothing to write home about. 2 stars. read more

I stopped here on a week night to dine in with my husband. The place was quiet, but the staff were friendly and eager to serve. I tried the chicken shawarma sandwich on wheat with a side fattoush salad. I'm sure someone used to grabbing a $3 wrap from a local Lebanese restaurant might be disappointed at the price, but I've got to say that the quantity of meat they put into this wrap made the $7 sandwich worth it. They also offered and added plenty of veggies, including seasoned onions and that crack-like deliciousness called "garlic sauce". The fattoush salad was fresh and crispy and I really enjoyed the bright flavors. They stuffed a lot of goodness into that relatively small bowl. They include a smattering of crispy pita chips on top too. The restaurant was clean and easy to navigate. All-in-all a convenient and good place for a quick stop to get your shawarma fix. read more

The concept is great. Mediterranean done like Subway, but I wasn't as impressed with the quality of the food. I had a chicken shawarma and the chicken was dry, the garlic paste tasted like it had mayonnaise in it, the pickles weren't flavorful. I will say I did like their babaganoush. It had a lovely smoky flavor that was surprising yet delicious. The bread was very fresh and the tabouli, while having very little bulgar wheat in it, was lemony the way I like it. The hummus was dry and lacked flavor as well. If this was the only Mediterranean game in town, I'd eat there. But there are so many great Mediterranean restaurants in this area, that I probably wouldn't eat there again. Also, I had a groupon for dinner & they wouldn't honor it for lunch. I get it. They are trying to drum up dinner business, but do that with your food, not your offers. read more

I would say I stop in and get food to go 3-5 times a week. The service, food quality, and price are great. This is the old location of Lentil Mediterranean Grill and now has new ownership. I was a bit skeptical when the new ownership moved in but they have surpassed my expectations. If you're looking for a quick and healthy meal, this is the place to go. read more

Easily the best lunch spot in the area. Food is phenomenal for a fast casual spot. In and out super quick. Options are limited but perfect if you want a sandwich or a bowl. Extremely customizable and they'll make whatever you want. Staff: Owners are extremely nice and provide great customer service. All in all great value. read more

There is an entrance for just the restaurant which makes it easier to enter. There is also close parking next to it. I had no wait on a Friday evening, which I'm sure isn't common, but I was also there about1 hour 30 minute - 2 hours to closing so it could be why. I was still given great service and a wonderful cooked dish. I ordered a mocktail (virgin spring in wing) that had was supposed to have smashed strawberries. I barely tasted the strawberry (I did not have some in the drink) as the soda water overpowered everything thing else. I probably should have said something, but I didn't. If I order next time I will. There were many great things on the menu, but I opted for the bone in pork chop. While I waited I did ask if they had bread service and they have corn bread. First I was like "hmmmm idk". Once it came to the table I loved it. I usually don't butter my corn bread, but I tried their butter with it and I enjoyed the pairing. It was perfectly cooked well enough how pork should be, but still tender so it wasn't dry. It had this whiskey sweet fruity glaze over it which was delicious. When it was transitioning from private ownership to the Noble Village group, owned by True World group, there was a transitional decline, thankfully, that didn't last long and things are developing very nicely. I hear even more growth is on the horizon as they establish an even greater presence in the building next door. I am also thankful that the integrity and the high-quality is very much present and everything they do. The service is always top notch and they try to open up a lot of lanes so people get through quickly because it is busier than ever. The word is definitely out. I've seen a lot of posts on social media and it's bringing in an even greater crowds, which is fantastic! Note: the on-line ordering is also so convenient and their sushi platters are high-level!
