We had a nice experience at Farm Fresh. The food was really tasty and they have those little puffy pita breads. I ordered the Ghallaba dinner. Both my husband and I loved the dish over the shawarma plate, but that was really good, too. The house salad was big and fresh. After reading a lot of great reviews for the Farm Grill, I decided to take a drive out there in a beautiful Sunday to try it out. There were only 2 other people earring there, but there were quite a few people who came for carry out orders. The host/server seemed to know most of the carry-out customers. I ordered the chicken shawarma lunch. It came with choices of soup or salad and rice or fries. I chose salad and rice. The salad was big enough to be a meal in itself. My only complaint with it was that there was too much dressing on it. After a few minutes, I was served FOUR freshly baked pita breads with that irresistible garlic spread. Sooo good. I was proud of myself for only eating one. The chicken was nicely grilled, and the rice pilaf was perfect. I only ate maybe half of my lunch, so now, I can have it again for dinner. read more

Sahara Grill is a decent option for Mediterranean in the Novi area -- it's a fair combination of good portion sizes, solid value, and accessible location. The taste overall is above average and there are a good amount of options as well as familiar favorites. My only real complaint is that the online order pickup process isn't as streamlined as it could be -- when I went to go pick up my order, I was waiting inside the restaurant for over 10 minutes even though my order was ready and waiting on the counter the whole time. Keto/ Low Carb folks: The shawarma combo was a good option for a ton of food (along with a salad), but as with most Mediterranean restaurants, there are plenty of routes you can go while maintaining your low-carb lifestyle. read more

Good middle eastern cuisine. Many different entrees to choose from. We enjoyed Chicken Shawarma sandwiches, hummus dip with bread and grilled vegetables. Decided last minute to try a new place and give my wife a break for the night and boy am I glad we did. The food was so good! We have a family of 6 and our normal rule is the it's 50% for the kids but they all loved it. Food was seasoned well and we had plenty for leftovers. In fact our 10 year old just asked for dinner to be a little later tonight so he will be hungrier and eat more!!! We had the Farms Jumbo Platter, also got a chicken Shawarma sandwich and a Shawarma Plate. We probably didn't need to ad the plate but it makes for more meals. The hummus that came was amazing and pardon our ignorance for not knowing the name of the white spread but it was good on everything! Will definitely be back! We ordered takeout with a starter platter (garlic sauce, tabouli, babaganoush, and hummus), a lunch special lamb shawarma plate with rice and lemon chicken soup, and chicken shawarma plate with rice and salad. All were flavorful and delicious! The babaganoush was one of the best I've had - smoky and smooth. The garlic sauce was fresh, zesty and wonderful too. Everything was packaged nicely and they provided ample quantities including pitas. Our minor criticisms are 1) although the meats were flavorful, they were a bit dry. The spreads mostly make up for it, but a little marinade/juice would have been appreciated. 2) The pitas are soft and fresh but it would be a five star hit to have fresh baked ones. They also did a nice job adhering to Covid precautions. I'd readily come back. Please consider supporting this business too. read more

It was a Thursday evening and we were hungry!! We have been pretty good about cooking meals but just wanted take out for a change and we opted for the Farm Grill. I have been to the one in Southfield (assuming it's the same organization) and have had good luck so we tried this one. We both got the Schwarma entree and it it was good. We both got the crushed lentil soup which I always love and the only difference in our meals was my veggies versus his rice pilaf. Both were good, although the rice was good I think the veggies are worth the up-charge. The reason why it's four stars instead of five are: 1- they use the prepackaged pita not homemade (you judge me but you know how much you love good pita) 2- I had ordered through yelp and was charged but then charged again when I got there (which they quickly corrected. ) So good stuff, no complaints had LOTS of leftover!! read more

Just dined in on a snowy winter afternoon. It was freezing and I asked if the furnace had an issue. I was told that the owner doesn't like to turn on the heat. Just ok middle eastern food. I agree with Carlo. I have only ordered via doordash but it's 70% rice 30% chicken and zero vegetables. They serve their carry out in a round dish so you can measure easily. The first time I ordered Hummus it came with the puffy bread that comes out of the open oven. The next two times when I ordered hummus and requested the puffy bread it never came with it!! It came with that cold thin pita bread that is always hard to chew. They never contacted me or gave me what I requested. The second time I ordered I did get sick and was in the bathroom for hours on the toilet right after I ate their food. I won't be ordering again from this place. I tried deboned chicken, chicken combo, mixed shawarma sandwich, shish tawook sandwich all just average, 3/5 stars. Advice: Stick with La Marsa it's way better than this place (and you always get a fresh bag of bread, half rice and half vegetables, tons of meat, salad, lemon oregano sauce). read more

Went there with a friend and had a great meal. Service was very good and the food was excellent again. Been there a few times and I would highly recommend it. Started with appetizer was Hommous, Baba Ghannooj &Tabbouli Love Tabbouli. Friend had shish kabob dinner which was very good. My husband and I recently moved to Metro Detroit agreee and tried this place out on our first day here as it was sort of close to where we live. I really wanted to love this place but it didn't quite do it for us. The interior is nice and comfortable with a lot of booths for seating. The menu was pretty standard for a Middle Eastern restaurant. We started off with hummus and pita which were excellent! Following that though when it came to our entrées, there were a couple of misunderstandings that ultimately we didn't make a big deal out of because we were so tired and just wanted to eat. You can get soup and salad with each entrée. My husband had ordered his soup with lamb but he got it with chicken. Then, he had ordered lamb for his entrée but they brought out chicken. To be fair, there was only one person that was taking orders and bringing out the food and we went at a busy time and he seemed to be doing his best. Ultimately, we got full off of my entree and told them to not worry about my husband's and they took it off the bill. I ordered the shish tawook and I thought it was decent, but slightly lacking in flavor. It looked as though all the seasoning had been added after it was cooked/grilled as opposed to being marinated first. Overall, would recommend if you're looking for something quick but don't expect it to be the best Mediterranean food you've ever had. read more

No one greeted us at the host stand. Took a while to just get a menu and at least 10 minutes before someone came to take our order. Had to ask for bread. Soup orders were wrong. The lemon rice soup was overcooked and barely edible. Waited 45 minutes and our food sat in the window for the waiter to pick up for about 8 minutes and got cold. He passed by it 3 times and waited until our order and the other tables order (that got there 10 minutes after us) were both up. My wifes order was incomplete, the waiter never came by after serving except at the end. The manager refused to credit her order or fix it. And that was the last straw for me. I decided to give this place a try, I drive by this place almost every day, but for what ever reason I never stopped in. I was a little confused when I walked in as where to get takeout, the cash register area looks like it's a place that is reserved for the staff and not the customers, actually if you sit on the right side of the restaurant you feel like you're in the kitchen, I would sit on the other side. But since this is so close to my house and I really don't care for the decor, I'll just do the take out thing. I got a lot of food for the money, and everything tasted pretty good.
