One holly died about a month later and two others look dead. Justin went out of his way to make sure we were satisfied with the plant placements before they planted and if they couldn't plant due to irrigation's lines, they did the very best they could to match our original plant placement. Very beautiful place, I came for the first time after driving by for years. I saw the trees but did not know it was a nursery!!! They now have these awesome statues out front so I finally decided to check them out. I was greated by Dustin and he was super funny and super chill dude. Dustin explained to me that they grow and Install trees and shrubs as well as home consultions for free so they can help improve the landscape of your home . I ended up buying some beautiful lantana and they had tons of colors to choose from. The GM Tony was awesome too. Since it was my first time he offered me a free Moon juice. I was talking about having some issues with some my plants. He said try our juice and advise on how to apply. Tony also said to send him or Dustin pictures of the plants. Tony advised my of his other product ls but to try the juice in the meantime till he sees the plants.. No nursery I have been too has offered to help out like that, I've brought plants in and seems like no one wanted to help. Not at Buda Moon Valley! Tony and Dustin are awesome. Working with Moon Valley Nursery to build out our empty flowerbed was an excellent experience. There were a few hiccups along the way, but Carlos went out of his way to make them right. Carlos did the landscape design and was crucial in helping me figure out what trees/shrubs to plant and how to place them. He came out to my house two times before planting and once afterwards and I met with him three times at the nursery to make sure everything was just as expected. The prices are reasonable, just know that "free planting" is not what it seems. There is a delivery charge, which basically includes planting. Also, they automatically include a $100 warranty on each trees without explicitly talking about its cost and that it's optional. You can opt out if you wish, I didn't because I wanted the option to change the trees out if I didn't like them within a year. Vincent and his crew did the planting. They were punctual, efficient and very quick. I plan on going back here for future landscaping needs. read more

Unfortunately, I was in the market for pots/planters and they did not have as large of selection as I would've thought based on the size of the business. If you are looking for larger more mature plants and trees, I would recommend them. If you are looking for decorative pots and or planters for outdoor use, I would try somewhere else. read more

We stopped by one day to get an idea of what we were looking for. After walking around, we any inside and Kelly greeted us. She had just finished up with another customer, but gave me her information and asked me to text her pictures of the area we were looking to landscape. She told us that she would draw up a design and get it back to us the next day or so. I texted her the pictures and then the next day texted her the amount of time the area was in the sun. It's been about a month now and I still haven't heard back from her. The plants were beautiful, but definitely pricy. read more

I am so glad I found Moon Valley Nurseries and even more so, their Design Specialist Carlos Nieto. We were having a lot of trouble trying to figure out what to do with the landscaping at our new house. We had so much shade from massive trees all over the back and front, so we needed to figure something out that would work in mostly shady areas, but also allow the dogs to enjoy the yard. Enter Carlos! He came over, took pictures, and came up with an awesome design plan based on our wants, needs, and budget. There were also a few additional issues that popped up along the way, and Carlos always figured out a way to make it better. He was so incredibly helpful and genuinely kind throughout the process. After he came and flagged the front and back for everything we decided on, next up was a pre-dig team getting the spots ready for some of the bigger trees. Finally, Angel V. and his team showed up on planting day, and got right to work! They did a great job as well, and left every space so clean, they even did some leaf blowing at the end. Each time a team was scheduled to come, we would get notice at least a day in advance, and then a call the day of about 30 minutes beforehand. They all showed up right on time and were so professional and friendly. Angel even gave me some tips on care before they left that day, and then sent me some text messages afterward with care instructions for all of the plants/ shrubs/ trees we got. After having so much trouble with multiple landscapers, and calling Moon Valley on a whim, I couldn't believe how easy everything became, and I am beyond happy we scheduled a consultation! We already have family and friends using them after seeing how good everything looked for us, and hearing what a great experience we had. I would call these guys anytime for small to big yard jobs, or even if it is just time to spruce up outside areas. Ask for Carlos, and you will not be disappointed! We had a great time purchasing our tree. The salesperson was passionate and knowledgeable. We didn't know just how much trees cost and were a bit taken aback. We waited 6 weeks for delivery and were given a 4 hour window in the delivery day. That day came and went with no tree being planted. We were disappointed and rescheduled. We mitigated the problem buy purchasing four large Carolina Cherry trees to obscure the view of the Casita. They are beautiful and really enhance our backyard. Update May 5th - the day after I posted the comment below I received various calls and messages and things have been resolved. Coincidence? By the way, Kayla was FANTASTIC and apparently worked with the GM to take care of me and my trees. I updated the review from a 1 to a 3. Review originally posted May 1, 2022 Bought 8 trees for my yard, spent about $15k and waited almost two months for them to be planted in December 2021. Come spring, all five live oaks are dead. Good luck if you need them to work with you for warrantied trees or not. Constantly getting the run around, told someone will follow up with me, that they need to talk to your GM, etc. They tell you they'll call back and then nothing but silence until I call them again. I've even said I'll pay for replacements that were not warrantied and nothing. I'm even willing to buy bigger trees. They even tell me I don't have a warranty until I show them the actual paperwork. Today, went to the Buda location (where I purchased) to get it sorted and told to come back when the GM is here. I'm sure there are people with good experiences with these guys, but not me. read more

Was looking for guidance on tree planting to provide privacy after apartment complex went up behind my home. Scheduled a consultation. But, the landscape consultant, Carlos, didn't want to come to my home, suggesting instead to come to him and he'd do a plan from Google Earth. Google Earth doesn't show the apartment complex built, nor does it show the species of the two trees planted in my backyard by the builder to mitigate. I'm looking for 3+ large trees, but guess it's not worth their time. Maybe a good company if you're looking for a complete landscape renovation. But, didn't seem interested in someone who was only looking to spend a couple thousand on trees. read more

I had searched for a tree nursery near me and the Buda store came up. I signed up to receive a call or text from one of the consultants. the response was quick. I spoke with Carlos. He came to my home, we discussed what I was looking for. I met with him the following day at the nursery. He is so friendly and polite and super informative. We had so much fun picking out the trees and plants for my design. He was super helpful. The cost is a bit high but I got mature trees and he also gave me some extra moon juice to help my new trees thrive. wait time for planting isn't bad, just a couple of weeks. I'm excite. From start to finish this was a great experience! Reasonably priced but not cheap. However, you get what you pay for. Knowledgable with the plants/environment and flexible with scheduling! The planting crew was timely and efficient, and did an excellent job on the install! They gave us stakes to set out the night before so I didn't need to be present, and they watered/mulched the area when done. Will definitely use again for future projects. read more
