My avocado bulgogi bowl was SO good, I doubled back to order Moonbowl the next day. This time I wanted to try something different and use the "free bowl" coupon. I ordered the BBQ chicken bowl with broccoli, mushrooms, pineapples and jasmine rice. This bowl was no where near as good as the avocado bulgogi bowl I ordered the first time, but I still enjoyed it for the most part. I am disappointed that, what I thought would be a free bowl was actually only 20% off. I signed up for emails and text messages after scanning the QR code and only to get 20% off, instead of what the coupon had advertised. Not happy about that. However, if you do try.. get the avocado bulgogi bowl!

Presentation 10 Portion 7.8 Amount of meat 9 taste 6 Customer service none Meal preparation time/wait 10 value 7 only because I got to use a 20% off coupon so it wasn't regular priced otherwise I would say 6 Of course this is my opinion based off of my experiences with food. I am a bowl connoisseur. I eat bowls all the time and this one was not amazing. The ingredients were well presented and looked fresh although the chicken was dry. I think the bowl relies heavily on the fact that there are so many other ingredients that the chicken doesn't need any love but you can taste the fact that the chicken is not seasoned. I could not even taste salt or pepper. I think the expectation is that the sauce will do all of the work but it just really tasted like bland chicken with sauce poured over it and then you got bunches of pineapple. I just felt like everything was laying there on its own and the sauce was supposed to bring it all together. It was decent but not the greatest bowl I ever had.

Moonbowls is pretty good! I've only had it once but I love the amount of vegan options they have and you get a free bowl offering! Fresh, delicious, and reliable!

Update: I reached out to the email provided by the owner the day after writing the review, and I still have not received a response. My review below still stands.

First time. I got the BBQ chicken with the sesame ginger kale slaw, roasted sweet potatoes, and pickled onions. Everything was delicious and super fresh. It came with sweet Korean bbq sauce I wish it was a little more sweet. The service overall was great. I will certainly be back

First time trying and it was amazing! I definitely will be ordering again. I also tried the cauliflower bites and this was great as well.

Ordered moonbowls for pickup via UberEats when I was just looking for new places to try around Midtown. The location is ... fairly hard to get to. It's at a two-level building with a kind of weird parking situation .. one tiny parking lot at the lower level and a very slanted one on the upper level on a hill. A lot of cars were parked along the side of the road. Upon further research, apparently this is a new thing by Cloud Kitchens, which is a "ghost kitchen" delivery model where the building is only for takeout and delivery. (I didn't know this so it was kind of weird just picking my food at a kiosk in some building). The pickup was easy enough though - they'll have the ready orders on the screen and you just walk up to the kiosk and show your order ID. I ordered the Don't Cauliflower It a Comeback and at the time, UberEats gave a free order of the Korean Hot Chicken as well. The cauliflower bowl was really good - I love fried cauliflower. The BBQ sauce was a good touch. The shredded kale + onions salad was alright. I picked the steamed bamboo rice as the base, which was very new to me. It's a short-grain white rice that almost reminded me of quinoa but I thought was pretty good. The Korean Hot Chicken was also pretty good, though it is fairly spicy (+ the spicy gochujang sauce that comes with it) so be warned. It came with a lot of chicken so it's definitely good they gave a lot of rice with it. I saved this for the next day so I can't say anything about the crispiness of the chicken but overall this was pretty good, as well. Overall, I thought moonbowls was great. It has some great vegan options (Don't Cauliflower It a Comeback) that are super tasty (if not tastier than their meat options). For $13+, the bowls are very filling and also nutritious and healthy. It's a very interesting take on Asian fusion + vegan/veggie-based cuisine. I would probably get this again for the cauliflower wings alone.

I really enjoyed these bowls. Healthier option of any fast food. Ubereats had a special where you buy 1 BBQ bowl and get second for free. Great deal. The plates are neatly packed in sustainable plating, which I appreciate. I also ordered the fried chicken bowl. You get to select 3 sides with the protein. We selected the kale salad slaw with brown rice and cucumbers for the BBQ bowl. The fried chicken was the same. You get fresh pineapples with the fried chicken bowl. Even though I was eating fried chicken, it was balanced with the fresh kale slaw, cucumbers and brown rice. The only complaint I have is that the spicy sauce was not spicy. Other than that, I expect to order again from this place. Highly recommend. I plan on trying their bulgogi plate.

I was excited to try out moonbowls but was unfortunately underwhelmed. The food that I received didn't look anything like the picture on Doordash. However it was filling and the portion size was satisfying. I wasn't a fan of how bland it tasted- had to use a lot of sauce to feel any taste. Also, I wish there was more rice because the proportion of rice to vegetables felt off. The pickup process was fast and efficient so that's a plus

food delivery order: solid healthy food option with fresh ingredients and regular specials! i ordered the "sesame surprise" sesame tofu bowl with scallion sesame rice. i enjoyed the charred sweet potato, charred corn, and pickled onions included in the bowl. i was concerned the citrus kale might not mesh well with these other ingredients but everything was actually fresh and tasty combined! i would eat moonbowl again and try the other flavors..

I ordered Moonnbowl for delivery for lunch and it was so delicious! I built my own bowl with brown rice and their fried cauliflower. I loved how many toppings you could put on it for no additional charge. I can't wait to go in one day to check it out!

The dumplings and fire chicken were delicious. The fire chicken though is no joke. Be ready to chug water! I can imagine at varying times it may be a challenge to find a spot. However, and I understand this is a lot to ask for, it would've been nice to have some form of security around. A man approached me asking me for money and was extremely pushy when I apologized and said I didn't have cash. Especially as a woman, this was very intimidating and scary for me... I worried about my car being broken into since he knew which one was mine, but thankfully it wasn't. I entered the restaurant to a cool, casual ambiance. The waitstaff was attentive and pleasant. Our table shared several items tapas-style/a la carte including: beef bulgogi, Brussels sprouts, glass noodle, scallion pancake, shishito peppers, hedo bap, and I believe one of the pork and/or chicken dishes. I can't remember which, but everything we ordered was tasty! My favorite item was the glass noodles! It was served very elegantly with the bone marrow (sorry I only got a picture of the portion I put on my plate). I'd love to take my husband here soon!

Still, I really liked the vibe of the restaurant, and all that they had to offer, so we decided to try again. Well, again, we ordered the Galbijjim...and this time, there wasn't a Regular or Spicy like last time. We also ordered a small size of Seafood Pancake. Well...Gotta be frank. This time, the Galbijjim was TOO mild. In fact, it even had this brown watery soup base (which I don't remember was a thing with Galbijjim??). WOW. Just can't seem to find the right balance here. Quite disappointing because we both were knocked over by just how AMAZING it was in the original Duluth location. Unfortunately, the Galbijjim at this location is just not the same. It's either too hot-spicy...or too mild (and soupy?!?). Also, the portion is WAY smaller...almost too small. If you look at the hot pot, it barely fills the bowl (?!?). Too mild...too soupy...and too skimpy. So again, we were quite disappointed. We agreed that if we're to have Galbijjim, we'll be going to the Duluth location over this one. Two Strikes, and OUT for me! Their side dishes were good...but again, I felt that the Duluth location offers a much more spirited variety of sides as well. Not sure why this is the case? I found this surprising as well...given how high the ratings were here?? Luckily, there was something we were impressed with...and that was their Seafood Pancake. It was MUCH crunchier than how I remembered it in the past...and both my husband and I agreed that this was THE best version we've had to date! We regretted not ordering the large size of this...as we enjoyed this more than the Galbijjim! It's so unfortunate that I'm still not able to upgrade the review to 5 stars...especially given how I love the vibe of this restaurant! Service is quite good too. But their Galbijjim continues to disappoint...so must dock another star. Maybe if I/we revisit, I'll order something else from their menu...and hopefully, it'll be better than their version of Galbijjim???

This restaurant soft-opened in March 2024 and officially opened in April 2024 in the old Breakers Korean barbecue space near the defunct Gwinnett Place Mall, and I-85 at Pleasant Hill Rd (exit 104). It's spacious, but can fill up quick. We arrived at noon on a Saturday and there were still plenty of open tables. However, by the time we left, shortly after 1pm, it was packed with people looking for tables. Someone jumped on our table as we were getting up to leave. This is not a sit-down restaurant. Instead, you order at one of two touchscreen kiosks at the entrance and then wait for your number to be called to pick up your food. Everything is self-serve, from condiments to hot broth. You also bus your own table. Here's what three of us got: B3. Heo [sic] Naengmyeon ($16.99) - spicy sweet potato starch noodles with raw fish (should be spelled "hoe") C3-B1. Naengmyeon and Yuk Jeon ($20.99) - cold sweet potato starch noodles and thinly sliced beef pancake C1-B1. Naengmyeon and Dwaeji Yang Nyum Gui ($18.99) - cold sweet potato starch noodles and grilled pork neck D4. Kimchi Son Mandu ($11.99) - handmade kimchi dumplings My wife and I love naengmyeon. We thought Naju's version was good, especially in this fast-casual format. To nitpick, the noodles stuck together and the ice melted too fast. Regardless, I found the noodles to be delicious, refreshing, and satisfying. The spicy version came with a small bowl of icy broth on the side. The raw fish, beef pancake, and grilled pork neck were all tasty and of decent quality. As for the handmade kimchi dumplings, they were legit. Big and filling. In addition to naengmyeon, Naju also offers a variety of Korean soups (e.g., seolleongtang - ox bone soup and gomtang - beef bone soup) and LA galbi (grilled short ribs). During our visit, the pickup counter was staffed by a bunch of ajummas (Korean middle-aged women), basically Korean lunch ladies. I'd come back. This place seems ideal for a quick stop for an easy and reliable Korean meal / comfort food.
