Since I was experiencing pain in several different areas, I would have needed multiple appointments over the course of one or two months, seeing different specialists for different body parts--one for my leg, another for my arm, another for my back, and so on. Each visit was limited to about 15 minutes because of insurance rules. The doctor couldn't begin treatment right away and instead referred me for X-rays and more CT scans and more MRI inspections. After learning how the process worked at my first appointment, I decided that this approach wasn't the right fit for me. I wanted a more holistic approach because I see my body as one whole person, not as a collection of separate body parts. I'm so grateful that I found Dr. Yu at White Pine Acupuncture Pain Clinic. He is not only an excellent doctor but also a wonderful teacher. He created a treatment plan that focused on treating my whole body rather than just individual symptoms. My treatments included acupuncture, cupping therapy, moxibustion, therapeutic massage, and essential oil therapy working together. I was very pleased with the results. I appreciate this holistic approach because it has no medication-related side effects, produced noticeable improvement quickly, and focused on addressing the underlying cause of my pain rather than just the symptoms.
