My son and I went to lunch on a Saturday. Nobody else was in the bar area so we sat there. He ordered a corned beef sandwich and so did I. There was barely any meat on it, no thousand Island dressing it's described on the menu, and a few shreds of sauerkraut. My son said his tasted ok. I felt mine didn't even taste OK. It was tasteless and the meat was gritty. After eating, 1/4 of my sandwich, I told my son go ahead and take the other half. We both really enjoyed our meals, the fries and chips were both delicious... and we had a very pleasant waitress. Came in mid-afternoon on Saturday, and as still busy but hit a table for 6 pretty quick. Lots ordered: Ribs, Hangover burger, grits & shrimp, Rueben and more entrees. This is a great addition to the area with some good food and unique drinks. My faves are the shrimp and crab dip, the lemon pepper wings, and nachos. I really enjoyed the moon shine flights and the Moscow mule drink made with passionfruit moonshine. The service has always been top notch and the bartenders are friendly and accommodating. So far my boyfriend and I have gone here twice and will go again. When we first went (lunch) we were seated right away. I had the portobello burger with fries and I tried one of their new ciders which resulted in an allergic reaction but was still very tasty. The second time we went (dinner) we sat at the bar to avoid a wait. I had a cheesesteak with onion rings. The cheesesteak was very good. The onion rings were okay. The batter they used wasn't what I expected. My boyfriend always gets the double decker club at any restaurant we go to because as he says, " it's a club, you can't mess it up." Great atmosphere. Everyone is very friendly. Bathrooms are very clean. Definitely try this place if you haven't! This is the place Dunn needed. read more

Very clean and attractive interior. My fries were excellent! However, our server seemed unsure of the menu. First, she didn't seem familiar with the wine my date ordered. When my date asked if they had garlic bread, the waitress responded: "Uuh, I don't think so. If we do they'd have to make it." Gee, really? Isn't that the case with pretty much everything on the menu? (They have garlic bread!) Also, the belly Mac my date ordered wasn't very cheesy, and my brisket sandwich was dry. Absolutely amazing food and service. Husband ordered a Red Oak beer. It was cold and came within 2 minutes of ordering. The food was hot and tasted great! I got the boneless wings with the house made rub.....so good. The house made chips were good but do need some type of seasoning. My husband got the shrimp and grits. I loved everything about this restaurant. The decor depicting old vintage pictures from moonshiner's days was fun and interesting. We started off our dining experience with a warm friendly greeting by our waitress. Her service and funny personality were just as amazing as the food. The moonshine margarita I had made with mango habanero was sooooo good. They make their own sour mix (I guess that's what you call it) which made the drink taste so fresh and crisp. The food was just soooo delicious. Mom and I started with the fried brussel sprouts, best ever! Then I had the blackened salmon and bacon sandwich my mom had the shrimp and grits with pork belly. Mine was awesome, the salmon was perfectly cooked. My mom said the shrimp and grits were better than Charleston's! That's saying a lot because before today she always said nothing compares to Charleston's shrimp and grits. Then our wonderful waitress turned us onto a dessert that wasn't on the menu. Deep fried bread pudding folks. I mean come on what else could you hope for. It had a yummy scoop of vanilla on top and some kind of amazing sauce. Tonight was our first visit to this restaurant. We went in with high hopes and I can tell you, our hopes were exceeded. We have lived here for 9 years and this restaurant will be a regular for us. It exceeds the taste and quality of its local competitors. And it's wonderful to have a new restaurant in the area. Staff was great and helpful. Restaurant was clean and atmosphere was great. I almost never ask to have feedback given to the kitchen but I could not help myself. Our Nacho appetizer was delicious! The wife had the Bootlegger burger and I had the sirloin. The burger was cooked spot on to my preference. And the wife loved her burger. I strongly encourage anyone considering eating out in the area to give this place a shot. If they confuse to perform like they did tonight I doubt you will be disappointed. read more
