This place is a rip off. The crooked tow truck driver was towing my bro's semi-truck, when asked instead of towing could it be moved to another location as the owner was on the way the guy agreed. He insisted on cash. My mother returned with the $800 cash and asked if she would be getting a receipt the guy became livid. He said he was towing it. She asked him not to but he was not budging. What we realized in his plan to pocket the money and screw even the crooked owners of Moon's asking for a receipt would've been proof of his dirty dealing. Fast forward the truck is at the yard and they only accept cash, this is illegal practices as I'm sure they are not reporting the money to the IRS, this is tax evasion for sure. They make up prices on the spot; they charged over $1200 for what would've been 1 day, but they didn't accept credit or debit cards so had to wait for the bank to open to get the cash needed. A couple of months ago, we called Travis at Moon's Towing to have a vehicle towed because someone was blocking our space. They never did show up. Yesterday, the same thing happened. We called, and Travis said he was going to be about an hour. Meanwhile, we had to park in an unauthorized space and were worried about getting towed ourselves, so my 86 year old husband stood in the rain with his walker to wait. After three hours, my husband called back to inquire about if he was still on his way. The guy yelled at him, and said "I own a multi million dollar company, and I'm tired of getting calls all day long about one car!!" I guess the implication is that he's much more important than us and our safety. read more

Following a serious accident, a Moon's Towing truck arrived quickly, loaded my vehicle without a problem, and brought it to their yard. The following day I went to their yard to remove personal items. Since the trunk was full of heavy items, they brought my car out of the yard on a forklift and placed it next to my other vehicle. That made it much easier to transfer the items. I appreciate the professionalism and the cooperativeness provided by both the office and yard staff. read more

I've lived in this area for a very long time so i've used many many services over the years. I can say with complete positivity that i have NEVER EVER felt the disgust i felt for these thieves after i was forced to deal with them. They work hand in hand w Jeff Parish who sends them out when one of the 2 need to make some quick cash. They will tag your car for something, anything, even bc you haven't moved it within a small period of time. Once they tag it, do what you have to do to get it moved bc they will hover like vultures until they can officially take it. Once they have it, good luck on getting it back. They charge you over $120 towing fee and IMMEDIATELY kick in a $35 per day "storage" fee (while conveniently adding more every day as you're working to get the money together.) What if you live on a tight budget? May as well bring them your title bc they will do everything they can to keep you from getting that car back. They give you a letter stating that "they will work with you" and/or "set up a payment plan." LIES. They denied me that as i held their letter in my hand. They have no empathy with any situation. They absolutely do NOT care what happens to you OR your car. They are rude, non professional, unkind, and won't give up a dime to help you out. They don't deserve 1 star. They are "less than" that. i've had tough situations from time to time in my past but never have i come across a business (what a joke) that wouldn't help in some way, even if its simply to allow you a pay check or 2 to pay the fees (for sitting in their filthy lot). The only thing i could recommend is to turn around if you see their name and keep on going. If you are in an accident, and you see these people arrive to load your wreckage, get ready to deal with some of the rudest, arrogant people you'll ever have the misfortune of dealing with. After I was in a wreck, the tow company that responded was Moon's. The hauler driver was courteous, and handled everything with a smile. It was after hours, so arranged anything that evening was out. The car stayed the weekend, and they wasted no time warning me of the fees that rapidly piled up. When I'd call about my car, I was rudely asked "Last six of your VIN?" by someone who couldn't be bothered. Never once were we told the time they closed (and I admittedly never thought to ask). FYI, it's 5:00 pm on the nanosecond and nobody is willing to accept the cash to pay the fees. And you need cash-the exact amount, in fact, down to the penny. There is an ATM available with a no doubt usurious fee. Of course they aren't open on weekends, that'd be way too convenient. The only reasons I give even a one star is 1) Yelp doesn't let you do a zero star review, and 2) the hauler driver was very professional and friendly. read more

These guys should know better. My car stalled on me after the heavy rain last week. I pushed it out of the street during the rain( like an idiot) thinking that it would be safe until the rain subsided. However, when I came back to my car not even tow hours later, It was gone. So the goosechase started. After finding out that Moons Towing had possession of my car I was sorta relieved being that I see their tow trucks all over the place; I figured that It wouldnt be much of a hassle getting my car. Boy was I wrong. I was told by one person that I needed my title notorized, proof of registration and insurance along with my drivers license. I'm thinking no problem. After chasing down a notary and the old owner (who lived in mississippi) to have the paperwork ntorized, turns out it already was! WTH. I know that people make mistakes but damn dude. Got my car with no problem after that though. Not that any of my cars get impounded on a regular basis, but I think that the guys there could tighten up on a few things to make things easier on us. To send me on a mission that wasn't even nessasary isn't too much of an issue with me, but I'm sure that a "busy bee' could have easily been PISSED. Be sure to take a sizable chunk of time out of your schedule when dealing with these guys here. read more
