It's a beautiful old building, with lots of exposed brick and plenty of old artifacts from breweries, the town and more. Like any good Wisconsin restaurant or bar, it has old-fashioned on the menu of their specialty cocktails. I would put this in about mid range of the old-fashioned that I have had. I've had better, I've had worse. This was one of those times where I had to ignore the fact that went with vegetarian, and ate fish because there weren't a lot of options on the menu. That being said, the grilled salmon salad was amazing. I wasn't able to finish the whole thing, however, because we ordered the cheese curds. They were super melting and lightly battered. Quite good, though my companion thought they were more like mozzarella than actual cheese skirts. I am not so sure, but either way it was good. The menu is quite small for lunch, but there was also soup and a salad bar and a roast beef lunch special. Two of our party had the roast beef special. It was a perfect lunch portion - 2 slices of roast beef with gravy and mashed potatoes, green beans and a dinner roll. I had the reuben sandwich and enjoyed it a lot. We didn't opt for any wine since it was Monday lunch, but I am eager to try some soon.

The menu is varied, with something for everyone. Our party had four different entrees, with remarks like 'very good' and 'ok'. French Onion soup was pretty good for starters, made with swiss cheese, my preference is mozzarella, but still tasty. We shared the Pig Sty dessert, which was large enough for 4 to share. Specials on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sunday afternoons. Our server, Jordan, was excellent. Attentive, but not overbearing at all, willing to explain the menu, and give some info on the barn itself.
