Such a fun date night!! Grab some blankets, snacks, and drinks and drive on in! We got there about 20 mins early and there was a ton of parking options. It quickly filled in after that. I'd recommend getting there early not just for a good spot but also to watch the sunset! Great view of the city skyline too. Tune into the radio station listed at your screen! There's 3 screens showing different movies at a time.

Since Covid I've enjoyed drive in or outdoor theaters WAY MORE. You don't deal with the ruckus and lack of social etiquette as much. I was sad to see them closing towards the end of 2020 but I'm glad moonstruck is still here! One star off only because it can get so packed and there really wasn't anyone guiding traffic or where people were parking. Made us anxious to leave the movie sooner...it gets so dark there we didn't want an accident! Also some movies (ones with really dark scenes like Batman) are really hard to see :/

Let's all go to the movies! Perfect night to see the Fantastic Beasts with the family at MoonStruck Drive-In with the family. Make a reservation on the app. Great deal at $35 per car. Show them some love on social media for bonus offers. Parking is so easy. Pop the hatch and then turn on the radio to FM 101.7 or bring a radio (if you have one). Food trucks, snacks and popcorn are available, but we brought our own snacks and drinks. Hint: bring a thermos with hot tea or hot cocoa and a charcuterie tray with fruits, veggies, hummus and cheese. Sit in the back of your car or...bring stadium chairs. Don't forget your blanket and a jacket. It gets chilly after the sun goes down if there is a spring breeze at 9/10 PM. Double features are also available on weekends. What a fun family outing. Loved watching a movie with the Houston skyline as a backdrop. So, let's all go to the movies at MoonStruck Drive-In under the stars.

Picture it it's a cold windy night in Houston and you're ready to snuggle up and watch a movie only to arrive, but you're at the wrong gate so they direct you to the other gate so basically there's no signs telling you which gate you're supposed to go into. Then when they're supposed to take your ticket they only ask you "what movie you're here to see" because they don't even know which screen they're going to show it on, once you're allowed in.....there are no painted lines in the parking lot so fend for yourself. There's a huge dirt mound blocking the beautiful city view and skyline at the moment. So don't expect the pretty view just yet. Concessions aren't open right away and well the list could go on. I think there's definitely room for improvement but for now we sit at three stars.

I am extremely disappointed. MoonStruck charges a lot for tickets, and I can assure you the price is not worth it. My movie screen was in the back, tiny, and next to a golf driving range--which was separated by a large fence. This meant there was a significant glare on the small screen due to the presence of a large spotlight coming directly from the driving range. I was only able to see the movie half the time, and that depended on whether it was a scene that had background lighting. A driving range security guard would occasionally whizz on by on his cart from the other side of the fence, which was noisy. I could sometimes hear loud music coming from the range. Don't even think about going to the bathroom. The restroom trailers were LOCKED and the porta potty was disgusting. If you don't have a strong stomach, I recommend you not look at the photo I attached. The decorations and sunset were nice. I appreciated the presence of a food truck since the concession stand was extremely limited. I will not be returning. Watching a movie at MoonStruck was not enjoyable; quite the contrary, it was a waste of my time.

The issue that arose was the movie was scheduled to start at 7pm. Unfortunately, the movie did not start until roughly 45mins later! This was a week night and people typically have to go to work and school the following day. It was extremely disappointing that I was sitting in the car for a while until the movie started. The movie cut out mid scene and we sat in the car waiting over 15mins for the screen to come back on. (This happened another time I attended this theatre) I feel like it has been a waste of my time and night when we were not anticipating being out that late. I might give this place another try but I am slowly continuing to see delays and hiccups.

I would say it was just okay. Nothing went wrong, but the porta potties were extremely off-putting.

Last minute outing. It nice to see drive-in theaters make a comeback... and to have one close to town. Staff was very friendly. They have food trucks for snackage and they have a trailer bathroom. Unfortunately, I didn't check out either one. They also have some picnic tables. I saw some people bring their own chairs. They charge by the car so it can seem pricey if you are a party of 1 or 2. I enjoyed the experience. It reminded me of when I was a kid. I will probably be back.

This reminded me so much of my childhood. My parents used to take us to the "drive in", get us popcorn, sodas, and candy and let us sit on top of the car to watch the movie! What a time, right?! The movie screen was clear. Place was super cute and spacious outside movie theater. And its in a great part of town. I attended this event via @HoustonYelp events and had such a blast. This place would be perfect for date night, kids night out, or a singular rest and relax night.

this drive in theater is slowly fading away appeal. We watch the mission impossible the other weekend and the screen 2 is super small. there is a karaoke bar next to the theater and u can hear the people singing while your trying to enjoy the movie. It sad because we use to love this drive in but will not be back next time and this will be the last.

I'm glad that we decided to go to the drive-in, even though the reviews haven't been very good lately. We could see the movie clearly, without any interference from lights. The sound was great as well. We felt safe in the lot. We didn't try the food from the truck or see the restroom so no comment on that. It was a pleasant spring night, so we enjoyed feeling the breeze and watching the movie.

Hello, excited to come check this out. Just confused on the double feature weekend special. If I just want to watch the 2nd movie showing , then I would just come around 10 pm after the first? Then I would probably have to park in the back ? Thanks.

First time attending & I was wondering what time I should get there? I know the movie starts at 8:30 but I was concerned about parking. 2 more. Ok to leave my car on the whole movie & is it a bother to have the trunk open of an suv? Thanks!

Hi, opening gate times vary per week. However this week, gates open on weekends at 6:30 on Friday and Saturday. And 7:30 on Sunday. We’d recommend coming asap! Movie begins at 8:30 & spots are first come first serve.… Read more

I'm confused about the double feature. So does the first one start at 8:30 and the second one starts at like 10? Is there an option to just see one or will I be there from 8:30 to like 12?

How early should I arrive to get a decent spot?

Hi May- I would get there within 30 mins of the gates opening!

Does the drive in have previews like a regular movie theater , if so when does it start before the movie starts at the showtime tickets is bought it after?

Hi Stiff! Great question! The previews start at the showtime and the movie follows the previews. Can't wait to see you under the moon!

Are there restrooms? Is it a rule to stay in car or OK to set up chairs outside car?

Unlit porta potties. Nasty and were not emptied before the show started. Yes you can get out of your vehicles and set up chairs.

Is one ticket per person or car?

Hi Edwin- It is one ticket per car. We can't wait to see you out at MoonStruck Drive-In :)

The Palladium is located on a one-way freeway frontage road, so you can't make a U-turn to get there if you pass it up. But it's not one to avoid. The Palladium is not a franchise of a nationwide company named after Arthur Murray or Fred Astaire. It's a local concern, and doesn't offer as much as the other two studios I listed. I've gone to their Latin events, and here's what it looks like: They have in-house instructors, and also bring in people from outside Houston. (I wrote about California's Kathy Reyes in two prior reviews, I hope she's reading this and makes the trip to Houston some time!) They have classes, and they have dance parties. Both are run well, charging market rates. Lots of parking. One medium-sized dance floor, two smaller studios. The bar sells drinks, both alky and non-alky. Restrooms are deep in the bowels of the building, down the hall to the left. The people who come are a good company, and are fixinta learn to dance better and to have fun. The experience was similar to others I've been to in other cities. I've had a good time, and never drove home thinking "well, that was a waste of a hundred mile drive one-way."
