On a cold evening, you would think that it would be great to have some BBQ. As this restaurant is fairly close to the Fairgrounds, we stopped for some ribs. We had the Ribs and Sampler with 3 sides. The Sides came in small cups, the best of which is the Coleslaw. It's creamy and crunchy in one bite. The rest of the Sides are just alright. For 1 lb, you get about 6 - 7 ribs. I have to say that the ribs were a tad dry and tough even though they looked pink inside. It has a pretty decent flavor without the sauce but too dry to eat on its own. The other meats on the Sampler were dry, too. Really can't tell between the Pork and the Beef. The waitress was friendly until she wasn't. She didn't like being questioned about the charge of 75 cents for a 16 oz cup of water. She figured it was likely a charge for the cups and that the water was from the Soda Fountain. We felt that it was an outrageous charge even if the amount is negligible. It would have been more pleasant if we were told about the water charge during the ordering. It leaves a bad taste. I wanted to love this spot because it has a very cool ambiance from the outside and even once inside it matches the vibe, I also really found the drive thru cool! However, similar to others it was awkward walking in and having staff look at us but no one say anything, like "seat yourself" or be "right with you", just need some direction since there wasn't a sign either. The dining room is small but turnover looks pretty consistent. Our waitress was great with a friendly attitude and efficient. The food is where we lost the plot, I understand bbq looks very different depending where you are and I'm used to South Carolina bbq but I've dined with other bbq restaurants in the area so I had some expectation. We did a small platter and it wasn't clear of the meats what was what. There wasn't a lot of juiciness to the meats and when I tried using the sauces to help the flavor I found them a little lack luster. The French fries and corn were ok. 5 stars is something I take seriously! This place deserves every bit of five stars. Small dining area that fills fast but don't worry, they get food out quickly. I only ever order the super pork special but I hear they have amazing other options. They keep the place cool. So if you working outside it's a nice break. Also the service is spectacular!! If you're lucky you get seated in Jen's sections. Sit with her twice and she remembers what you want to eat and drink! The prices are super reasonable for the amount of food you get! We visited a friend who just moved to town. This place was hoping on Saturday. We got in right before the crowd of people who were waiting for a table. The ribs had great smoke and came right off the bone. They don't do brisket but do eye round roast- it was a bit overcooked. The pork was pretty good also. For a side I went with mac and cheese and it was so creamy and delicious and the garlic bread was on point. The steak fries were delicious too. My experience started off in frustration as I just stood by the door for close to 5 mins before someone finally asked if I needed help. Moonswiners is a staple in St Lucie County. I'm 5th generation in this county and Moonswiners is the ONLY place I'll go for BBQ.

This is a cool little place, not a very large dining room or bar area but it is run very efficiently and the tables seem to turn quickly. Staff is very friendly and professional. I ordered the pork sandwich platter, it was good but not great. The pork was very moist and tender but could have used a little more smoke. The fries weren't good though, but I'm not really a fan of the big steak cut fries anyway. The sweet and the hot bbq sauces were really good, and the sweet tea is good too. I would have liked to have a beer with my lunch but they only carry Budweiser products a I refuse to drink those. All in all I'd go back if I was in the area read more

We've driven by this place countless of times and we always see it packed. Both the drive thru and the parking lot. When you walk in, head towards middle of the small walkway between the bar and the tables to grab a number. They don't take names, they simply say a number out loud and if it happens to be your number, then that's your table. The place is decorated in a sort of rustic modern way. Menu features sandwiches, platters and meats. We tried their corn nuggets, had a smoked grilled chicken sandwich and a jumbo bar-b-q sampler which included beef, pork & ribs. They have a grown folks platter which is basically the same. The only difference is the jumbo has 3 of each and the grown folk has 2 of everything. They include garlic bread and a choice of two sides. We opted for their Mac & cheese and coleslaw. Their bar-b-q sauces are soo good. One was classic bbq and one was more tangy and more of a buffalo wing flavor. My partner says there was a third sauce but to me it tasted similar to the more tangy one (which was my favorite) Service was friendly, courteous and the food was brought in a timely manner even though the place was packed. As people left, more people came in. Note, their drive thru was busy and their take out parking spaces were constantly being filled because of the amount of people that ordered take out.
