Have been a resident of Fort Pierce for years, but this is the first time I ate here. The first thing our waiter said to us was you know there's an 18% gratuity added. Literally instead of a hello We had already been told this by the hostess as she seated us and considering they've got it on the menu as well as at the table in big letters, I'm assuming this is a problem for most people. It is for me. I will usually tip even at lunch 25% for good service but when the management is forcing me to pay 18%, whether the service is good or not, then that's what I'm going to pay. Management is not doing their wait staff any favors. I took a star off for that. As far as the food, I was pleasantly surprised. I had fried green tomatoes and the fish and chips. My niece had a smash burger. She says hers was excellent. The fried green tomatoes were literally the best I've ever had. Which is saying a lot because I love this appetizer and will usually order it in any southern restaurant. The fish and chips were also good but not great. The fish was tender, and the breading was crispy and not too soggy, but it was not perfectly crispy. The french fries were lacking in flavor and chewy. But basically the food was good and the service was satisfactory but not great. But I will be back to try other items on the menu -/ if you're setting the bar for an 18% tip then that saves the customers a lot of money when they would usually do 25 to 30%. When I see this in a restaurant, it tells me that the management does not want to dip in their profits to give their employees health insurance, but depends on the customer to do it for them. read more

This site says tipping optional. Well, it isn't optional. It's even added if you're sitting at the bar! Food is mediocre at best. There's plenty of other restaurants on Main Street. The fact is - I tip more than what they add. read more

We found this spot in downtown Fort Pierce while looking for breakfast, and it turned out to be a great find. Not only do they offer a wide variety of options, but they're also dog-friendly--and even have a menu for your furry friend, which was such a nice touch. We ordered the omelet and the waffles, and both were delicious. Our waitress was incredibly attentive--she quickly brought our coffee and even a bowl of water for our dog. She truly made the experience even better. The prices were reasonable, and the ambiance was lovely. We sat outside on a covered porch with a nice view which made it even more enjoyable. If the 18% charge is genuinely being distributed to the service staff, I'm completely comfortable with it. I believe in supporting the people who are providing the service, especially when they contribute to a positive experience. As long as it's clear that this fee is not just an added cost but actually benefits the staff, I have no issue with it. We will definitely be back! read more

Enjoyed brunch with the parents today. The lemon banana flavored mascarpone French toast (Challah bread with orange zest) was filling and not too sweet! I wasn't sure what to expect and it was better than regular French toast to me. It was nice to sit outside and enjoy the nice weather. There are a couple of TVs (outside and inside for football games etc.) My husband had the breakfast skillet (potatoes with pepper and onion, covered with eggs and sausage gravy, with jalapeños on top (and cheese of course). He ate all of it and it was a pretty good size portion for the money. Momma had the Belgium waffle and dad had the same breakfast skillet minus the jalapeño. They were pleased with their food as well. Service was great - 18% gratuity was automatically included (which I did not notice beforehand for some reason). The service was great. The burger was nasty. Two very thin, dried out, burnt/black patties. I couldn't eat it. The waitress checked on me and I told her I didn't think I could eat the burger. She took it to the kitchen and brought out another one. Said she asked a different cook to prepare it. Not as black, but just as dried out. 2 Street used to be good. Very nice place and I'm not quite sure why the reviews are mixed. Might just be terrible waitresses but in my experience, it was awesome service. The waitresses were super nice and never judged me after getting 3 consecutive glasses of water. I got the chicken wrap (If i remember correctly) With the kettle chips and they are very fresh. The kettle chips aren't as great, they are a bit hard on the teeth and a bit burnt. Overall, might recommend if you like it. Prices are a bit insane but worth it enough. read more

Had a late lunch on Sunday 6/6. As seems to be the usual the intro by the waiter started out with the 18% tip story. Just didn't feel right. Tips should be earned not demanded as a requirement. Auto tip doesn't offer an incentive to provide good service. And the service was lacking. BTW I usually tip 20% - did not considering the auto tip. A couple issues - no soap in men's room - I asked twice. Ended up going to my car and getting hand sanitizer. Missing a plate for appetizers - asked twice before received. Ordered a burger - it was scorched, dry, no flavor with a wilted piece of lettuce. Fries were good - Cole slaw was good - not cold though. Maybe just an off day. Probably won't go back - there are other options. I can deal with an off day on the food but it's the tip demand that turns me off. read more

Bistro you have fallen off since your renovation and reviewing other patrons comments I am not the only one who feels this way. A few months ago we had experienced our first negative experience at your restaurant. Your waitstaff failed to acknowledge us for around 30 minutes. Your hostess had taken our drink order and brought the initial waters and sweet tea, the bartender helped me with a refill... asked both the hostess and bartender for the manager to come over to speak with us prior to exiting as expectations were definitely not met! She needs training and should know what staff are assigned which areas and lend a hand when her staff is overwhelmed. Today, we gave 2nd street our final visit. Hostess asked if we wanted seated inside or outside. Requested inside she looked at the floor plan and sat us promptly. Before she left I asked whose section we were sat, she said Kelly. Fairly certain she would have been responsible for our table back in December. I started my stopwatch timer and we waited 10 minutes this time before I flagged down a manager. His excuse was we only have three girls working like okay each of them had passed by this very table and not one of them bothered to say welcome I'll be with y'all shortly. @jeff g, advice put up a help wanted sign and hire team members who are passionate about what they do you once had a nice establishment where quality was above that of your competitors. read more

Our server Victoria was absolutely fabulous so I'm still gonna give 5 stars. I'm starting to question whether or not the whole restaurant group is more concerned about the absolute bottom dollar than their clients and that is extremely disheartening to a local. Little deviations to make a menu item more suitable for me and my particular taste which was removing all of the extra ingredients was denied... I offered to pay more. Long story short is that we will keep trying to patronize 2nd Street and his other three restaurants. It is becoming apparent that the seasonal crowd is more important than his core crowd. Service was Great and so was the food! Parking was surprisingly good for my handicap situation.

We went for drinks and appetizers before a show at the Sunrise. Gave ourselves 2 1/2 hours to sit and enjoy without having to worry about being late for the show. So glad we did. It got super busy around 6pm. Roger was a fantastic server! Very attentive and friendly. The food was delicious. We got pretzel bites, fried pickles, potstickers, spinach artichoke dip and cauliflower bites. The only constructive criticism I would give is that the cauliflower bite appetizer could have had bigger pieces. They were smaller than expected. The flavor was great but I would have liked it to be a bit more substantial. The chocolate espresso martini was awesome! We will definitely be back to try more than the apps! read more

We tried to dine here on 4/1/26. The dining room was not busy, in fact, there appeared to be more employees than patrons. We were seated quick enough; however we were then forgotten about. We had to flag someone down to get a drink order placed after 10 minutes of sitting in our booth. Once the drinks were at the table, the usual " I send your serve right over." After 20 additional minutes of every other table being waited on, and ours being ignored we left. We will not ever be returning. With so many other options, AVOID THIS PLACE. read more

2 Stars because the food was good. New owners and remodeled. The food was good, service was subpar. New menu isn't as good as before, very few of the "old favorites "! Also $$$$ very expensive and they charge you for extra plate to split dinners, automatically add 18% gratuity. Plus I ordered an old fashioned and they added $2.50 for it being on the rocks!!! 2nd Street was our "go to" place for years....the ambiance and the beer selection. We only drink IPA's During the recent reno, they took out alot of the decor that gave this place character. Also, they reduced the beer taps to 15. I went in soon after the reno to check it out and have lunch and an IPA. They only had one IPA and it was in a can! I left. Two weeks ago we walked in to see what they had....two IPA's, neither of which we enjoy. A shame after all these years. We won't be back. read more

We're back and forth to Florida and 2nd Street is always a stop. Upon returning after the remodel, what a pleasant surprise! Kudos to the owners for maintaining the downtown charm while providing a refreshed ambiance. The warm and knowledgeable staff was there to help navigate through the thoughtful menu updates; there is definitely something for everyone- and save room for dessert! Lastly, although it does not seem like a popular opinion, I love the new service charge of 18%. It's incredible to see how this Treasure Coast staple cares deeply for their staff and it translates to the exceptional service provided. We were still able to add gratuity, which we did. The Food was terrible! Their special was Prime Rib. I got it the was I like it however there was so much fat and I like fat but not that much. The gristle was so thick, the knife would hardly cut through it. The bake potato was so dry and cold the butter would not melt. read more

Wanna do with my family on Mother's Day Sunday after church the food was pretty good however the food is pretty pricey and on top of that they add their own 18% gratuity onto the check and then after that if you use a debit card, it's another six dollars and after that they ask you if you want to leave at 10: percent or 15% or 20% tip after they've already taken an 18% mandatory gratuity and added it to the bill my bill was only 116 and after they got done with me. It was 157. That's crazy. I believe the customer should be able to leave the Tip not be forced for 18% plus it was so packed. We waited and waited a long time for drinks a long time for food. read more

Big restaurant located in the heart of downtown Fort Pierce with lots of bars and other restaurants, bar and brewery along with a nice little pier. Want to comment on the great service from Kelly and Nick was spot on switching the TV's between games. Both were courteous and helpful. Did notice a few changes but still has the same feel. Did not notice the 18% surcharge on ALL orders until the bill came. They removed a lot of menu items but didn't see the upcharge. We dined elsewhere. read more

2nd Str is local for us and we have always enjoyed it. They certainly have a large enough menu that you can go often and try something new even if the shrimp and grits calls your name every time! Even the pickiest in our crew enjoys 2nd St. Bistro. Don't forget the bar is packed with favorites, too! Patio dining is a must! read more

I used to REALLY love this place but after the recent changes, I won't be back. The menu has definitely changed for the worst. Started out with the bang bang shrimp, again changed for the worst. Instead of a bunch of small size shrimp, we got 6 large shrimp and they were not flavorful. My friend and I both had smash burgers. They were not very flavorful and dripping with grease/fat which destroyed the bun. The onion rings were crispy on the outside but super soggy on the inside. They had a "special" for a "Cuban". However it was served on a hoagie roll and they no longer have a panini press...I don't know how you can have a Cuban special and not be able to make a proper Cuban. This was our favorite spot in the downtown. What a disappointment, smaller and far more expensive menu. Enforced gratuities, quite possibility because it was some of the worst service that one could imagine. The bartender (outside) used the f-word at least 15 times in a 10 minute span of time. The 10 dollar pour of vodka did not even cover the bottom layer of cubes. What a shame. What has happened to the wonderful spot downtown? A true loss. We will not be back. read more

Made a trip to Ft Pierce with my GF and her son so we could go to a store in the area. We were pretty hungry when we arrived so we decided to go here to eat. We were seated promptly. The restaurant is huuuuuuge and has a sports bar type feel but it's more family friendly than a typical sports bar. Our server was awesome and told us we may want to order quickly as there was a 60 person party in the room next door. I got the Cobb salad, he got pizza and she got taco salad. The portions of the salads were MASSIVE and had fantastic flavor. Fresh ingredients and great ostentation make for a great experience. The boy LOVED his pizza. The price was reasonable as well. We don't go to Ft P often but if we do go, this place will be on our list of go to places to eat. read more

I was on vacation, visiting a relative and we found seating at this restaurant during winter break. It was busy for sure, but we were seated quickly. They were having Trivia night, but that didn't deter us. I ordered Jambalaya and I have to admit, the dish met all my expectations and filled me up. I was one satisfied camper! Went on 9-21-25(Sunday) around 5pm. We have been many times before the remodel and have always been happy! There wasn't many people there but the service was slow. We ordered drinks and my glass wasn't full and the same with my second drink! Wife's order wasn't right which they did correct but the server never wrote anything down. The bill came and good thing we check because 18% tip was already included,ask the server about this and he said after remodel this was a new procedure. Don't have a issue with that but should be mentioned when you receive your bill. What if the server didn.t deserve the 18%? Food was good but it will be sometime before we go back. read more
