First ,as Seniors who dine out often and we were totally shocked and stunned at their sky high Breakfast prices.No they were NOT on a gold platter ! Never ever have we paid $50 for 2 bacon /egg breakfast with coffee,tip anywhere..Maybe $22-$25 total. Second complaint the waitress gave us decaf coffee and got snotty when we mentioned to her she was pouring our coffee from the decaf pot and never did we request decaf. The restraunt itself was nice ,but come on no Bacon and Egg simple breakfast should be $25 a person in Florida in a simple diner. If I could give less than one star, I absolutely would. I asked about coffee options, and instead of a simple answer, the man snapped, "This isn't a Starbucks." I said "okay" and clarified, asking if they had any flavors at all or creamer for regular coffee, and he repeated the same line with even more condescension. I then pointed to the cappuccino on the menu and was told, "AGAIN, we don't have that" in the same nasty tone. How would I know you don't have what's on your menu? It wasn't just unhelpful -- it was downright hostile. There's no excuse for speaking to customers that way, especially when they're being polite. If your idea of service is sarcasm and attitude, you're in the wrong business buddy. It was so off putting that I didn't even bother ordering food, just a water and lost all appetite. We went with a hungry party of 6 and were seated in the back room area. Waitress showed up and got us going with coffee. Coffee was just terrible tasting - usually diner coffee is good, but this was not. It was hot, so there is that. Menu was your standard issue diner options for breakfast / lunch / dinner. We all got our orders in and food arrived in an acceptable amount of time. Food was just ok. Lacking taste in most cases, it needed a lot of seasoning to make it worth eating. Everyone in our group agreed - nothing really has any taste. Place looked a bit grungy as well. Not filthy, but definitely in need of a good cleaning from top to bottom. For example, our table top was very sticky. Floors were a bit slippery. That kind of thing. Friend recommended that place but other than the signage, there really is no reason to go here. It's very subtle, but a message is being quietly sent. Sweeties is family-friendly. Plenty of fun signs on the walls for kids to read while you wait for your food. AND they put out an hilarious monthly newsletter that the children can color on. My only two Grohl...(Grohl??? Really Apple? The drummer of Nirvana? Get your autofill shit together) Take two: My only two GRIPES were my hash browns weren't cooked enough. (Leave those things on the grill, dammit!!!) and coffee is a bit expensive. Instead of fixing the problems, the owner degrades you in the reviews. Classless and unprofessional. I've read more and more negative reviews, and his responses get worse. I left a review about price errors on the menu and how we were charged more than what the menu said. His response, at first, was not to come back, and basically called me fat by saying he watched me try to get out of the booth. Since you can't reply, I made another review. I paid my bill, got my change, walked back to the back room where we sat to find our waitress, gave her her tip, and walked out. He's a liar. read more

The waitress Chrissy is not a very happy person every time we come in here she is angry. Today she let the whole restaurant know she was the only wait there because every one called in. We could hear her tell all the customer. When she took our drink order today she didn't even give me time to complete it before she turned and walked away. Not hearing part of what I said so when I told she again she said again that she was the only one here and if would be awhile before she could get me the lemons I asked for. I had already been waiting 10 minute. The manager was helping clear table and was yelling about a child that had dripped fries on the floor . Making mean comments about the parent and child. i don't think we will be coming back here any more, too much anger in here. I have to say the food is usually great.
