Food was good but the service was very slow. We arrived at 3:00pm on a Friday and did not leave until 5:45. We only had 2 drinks and two appetizers. My biggest complaint is when we went out to the parking lot the sprinklers were on and they were directly spraying my truck and all the cars around me on both sides of the isle. We had to wait for the sprinkler to move just so we could get in our truck. I just had my truck washed the day prior and a few water spots wouldn't bother me but the whole truck was covered in grayish color water spots. Sent an email and to the restaurant and received no response. I told them maybe they should wait till later at night or first thing in the am to water instead of later afternoon when the lot is filling up. Maybe even spend a few minutes fixing the direction they spray. read more

Beautiful new restaurant with a stunning view of water located in a private golf country club. The waitress and hostess were all outstanding. They have a beautiful bar with happy hour specials & cocktails which was a perfect to start while waiting for another couple. For appetizers, we ordered the Caesar Salad and escargot. Unfortunately, we had to send back the escargot it was presented without the shell & taste was off. The plate had dairy & other stuff which is not the typical presentation for the delicate escargot. Simplicity is the best! The food was delicious but the fish (salmon & crab cake) were on the smaller side. The pork chop was over cooked but the other meals were delicious. Went for the 1st for a special birthday. It was great, real pretty restaurant, nice views. Started with the tuna app, while it was small is was delicious!! Tuna tender and seared perfectly, a lil seaweed salad and crisp wonton, very tasty. I had the lamb shank special with polenta, tender shank and delicious; the polenta was good with the sauce, Brussels were tender. Husb had the grouper with Boursin mashed, enjoyed. After cleaning out my uncle's condo at Island Dunes (sadly, he passed away), my husband and I decided to try The Nest at the Island Dunes Country Club, as my uncle and my mother both raved about it. Not only is it stunningly gorgeous, but it was the perfect way to end our visit on Hutchinson Island and to honor my uncle. He loved food, especially a good steak, and this is definitely the place to go! He would have LOVED the dinner we had last night. The staff is great and were so kind to us. My husband Mark and I believe this is the best restaurant in the Stuart area, certainly the best on Hutchison Island! We had an unfortunate experience with another local restaurant on Valentine's Day (which also happens to be my husband's birthday and our anniversary) and had to find another option for dinner. Back in May, we took a vacation to Hutchinson Island for the first time. It is beautiful and magical! Being from Florida, I've visited so many beaches, but this one my new favorite spots. Going to a restaurant located in a place I haven't been before is pretty exciting! Of course I checked out the eatery selection how I would whenever going anywhere new. The Nest appealed to me for multiple reasons. First off, Farm To Table is always a preference with me. Also, there was some mystery surrounding it, as it was recently taken over and was a different restaurant. At the time, their website wasn't up and running, so I couldn't find a menu to peruse prior. To go even deeper, at the time there were maybe two Yelp reviews! I went into this dining experience so blindly compared to how I ever do, yet everything turned out lovely. The setting for The Nest is located inside the elegant Island Dunes Country Club. Being that my boyfriend and I like golf, this was a pleasant surprise. The dining room had a quite different shape structualy. It had grandiose vaulted ceilings. There were large windows, and the tables were all facing them which made for incredible views. Our host even accommodated moving us to a table for four vs table for two so we could sit side by side to watch the sunset. This was already a wonderful start! When our waitress arrived, she was delightful from the jump as well. After we ordered our drinks and apps, we walked outside to check out the river. Even on a cloudy evening, it was gorgeous. On to the provisions! I ordered pepper crusted tuna medallions with a blueberry teriyaki glaze. I love anything teriyaki and the blueberry factor definitely grabbed my attention. Sadly, I did not taste a lick of blueberry, but was still a good dish. We love oysters, so we ordered the grilled ones. They were served with lump crab and garlic butter. These were tasty, but again, nothing quite out of the norm. For my entrée, I just went basic with a center cut filet with a blue cheese butter. It was served with mashed potatoes and spinach. It was cooked well, but to be completely transparent, I thought it was a bit plain. Not horrible in any means, but no pizazz either. Now on the other hand, my boyfriend's dinner was delicious!! He ordered Grilled Sea Scallops that came on top of a cauliflower goat cheese puree. It was plated next to the yummiest of creamed corn and complimented with a tomato compote. All of these flavors mixing together was really something special. Definitely stuck out amongst everything. and is one of those meals that you would go back again just to get. All this being said, The Nest had only been open 5 months when we went. I don't want this review to come off as too harsh. Like always, just offering my honest opinion based on that experience. I've recently checked out their website, and their updated menu definitely had some new items I'd love to try. The service was top notch from the moment we walked in. The food could use some tweaking, but there is tons of potential there. I hope to return to Hutchinson island, sooner vs later, and when I do, The Nest is on my list to revisit. Based on this last trip, with food alone I would have given 3 stars. However, with all the positive and memorable experiences overall, I'm going with a strong 4 stars. read more

We loved the previous Pietro's and were excited to visit The Nest. I am over the moon with the new layout out, farm to table food and delicious menu items offered. Jenna was our server and she was very knowledgeable about the food, how it's prepared and the service was top notch! We ordered the Escargot appetizer which offered a new spin on the food. Escargot with mushrooms in a tasty broth, served with bread. My husband had the veal and prosciutto over linguine. He said it was tender and the saltiness from the prosciutto made the best flavors. I ordered the Penne Al la vodka which was also cooked to perfection and a ton of food. In short, the restaurant has maintained the excellent servers, atmosphere and food so it is definitely worth a try. read more
