I've been getting my hair cut with Dessiree who has given me the most fabulous haircuts whether to suit my curls more or to give me versatility when I'm doing lots of heat styling. I always leave feeling glowing, happy, and utterly pampered. I show her a picture and voila! She replicates right on my noggin. THANK GOODNESS FOR HER! They use the best products and when you get your hair shampooed they always offer a complimentary mini-facial which I live for (I recommend not wearing mascara or much makeup). I rarely say no to the extra treatments they offer, even if they may be pricey, because I feel they genuinely, GENUINELY care about the health of my hair and I have never ever, ever regretted it. I've also had my hair cut by Skye, I think, and she was wonderful as well! You cannot, I SAY YOU CANNOT go wrong. My natural hair wants to stay yellow and brassy. I, of course, thought I could fix this little problem on my own and I ended up with a hot mess. Another stylist tried to fix it and finally gave up. Danielle bleached the yellow out and then glazed it. All the while I was preparing myself that I wasn't going to get what I wanted. I completely understand life happens - people get sick, emergencies arise, but when it happens twice in a row, the salon should do something more then send a generic text and then ignore their customers. After my replies to said text were not answered, I had to take it upon myself to call the salon to see if they could get me in another time. I made this appointment FIVE WEEKS in advance and needed my hair done for an event over the weekend. The woman on the phone was not very nice. When I expressed I was disappointed because this is the second time in a row this happened, she just said "we can't have people work when they're sick..." she completely missed the point. If I get cancelled on last minute, twice in a row, and you can't accommodate a new reservation, give your customer a discount or a free hair product. Not an attitude. Especially when the salon would have gladly charge me in FULL if I was the one to cancel last minute. Thankfully, I was able to find a place in the area that took me last minute so I will be paying them from now on. There are plenty of other places, who charge better, and care about their customers, so tread carefully with this place.
