This place is adorable with such a friendly staff. The same ice cream selection is incredible. I got chocolate peanut butter which was delicious. My husband got coconut with almonds and cookie overload. He ate it just as fast as I did with my single scoop. There a ton more flavors I want to try so we will be back. I highly recommend stopping in for a cool treat.

It's a small shop with lots of Ice cream and sorbet flavors. The have outdoor seating and the staff are very friendly. They were following covid protocols as well. I got the cherry stracciatella which was good. But I would recommend the salted caramel with pralines (5/5)- amazing flavor. The fudge was a bit thick and I didn't like it much. They also have coffee and they sell ice cream tubs as well. There is street parking but might be difficult to find it on the street but there is a public parking right down the block with one hour free parking.

This place is a hidden gem! My friend and I were walking around downtown and found this cute little shop. It didn't look like much on the outside but we wandered in anyway and were soo surprised to find that they sell coffee and ice cream! They have a million flavors and let you try samples. The workers were very nice, patient, and gave good recommendations. The sitting area was not the cutest ever but it was homey and had character! It was a quiet little shop that I would definitely come back to. I got a small vanilla cup of ice cream for $3.71! This place definitely deserves more hype and I will be telling all of my friends!

The honey lavender is awesome! Definitely get it or try it because the staff are patient and they let you try as many flavors as you'd like. I also liked the banana peanut butter, blueberry mascarpone and baklava flavors although some are seasonal. They generally have high quality ice cream that's rich and creamy. I'm not sure why they add egg yolks but it's still great. It's $6 for two scoops which is kind of standard for ice cream shops. They have shakes and sorbet too! Stick around for some games while enjoying your ice cream and get a pint to go :)

Delicious local ice creamery! Super cute shop with several tables indoor and outdoor. I was able to sample before ordering. So many unique flavors (like honey lavender)! They also sell by pints !

The front entrance is now the exit, you enter from the side. 1 way in and 1 way out.

Always a pleasure going to Moorenko's. I never leave without at least 2 custom pints of ice cream. Honey lavender is always in the mix and I sometimes add the grapefruit Campari to the mix. My BFF is coming for a visit this weekend so I got her a pint of her own with peppermint stick and the salted caramel with pralines...because I'm not sharing mine . The customer service is always amazing and yesterday I managed to have a nice conversation with the gentleman working there about working with Moorenko's since high school and his future career aspirations. This is my favorite ice cream spot in Montgomery County and the prices are more than reasonable. Due to Covid-19 masks are required, only 1 group is allowed in at a time and they are not taking cash. I was in and out in less than 10 mins, hoping I'm able to control myself and not consume the entire thing in 1 sitting.

I'm always a sucker for the local, and this place tried to win my heart by offering not one, not two, but three different mint flavors. I ordered white chocolate mint and the standard mint chip, passing up the seasonal peppermint in favor of a candy apple flavor with those little red hot candies in it as well as whole apple pieces. Which I guess makes it healthy. It was a solid ice cream; they say there's not a lot of air in it and I believe them. The flavors were excellent; not the best mint I've ever had but I was satisfied. The shop itself is a bit of an awkward spot; a couple of blocks away from the main stretch of Silver Spring business, and around a lot of intersections and not so much parking. It's not cheap ice cream, but I'd say taking that trip from the heart of Silver Spring to get something more unique than the Ben and Jerry's that resides there is a good decision.

Very good ice cream and great customer service! My family also liked pinning a positive message on their message board. My only complaint is parking is a little tricky but everything is perfect!

    Lots of flavors!

Ice cream is always pretty good, right? I will give Moorenko's that they have a good selection of flavors. And those flavors are unique. On my visit I tried the white chocolate mint, and cinnamon flavors. They were both pretty good. I did get the bottom of the white chocolate mint batch so there were some large globs of white chocolate which made the texture a bit odd, but the flavor was good. The service was...meh. Though I did appreciate the cashier's choice in entertainment (she was watching Marvel's Agents of Shield). They do have WiFi, and some board games so it could be a chill place to kill some time in Silver Spring.

I never had it before. Its flavors were prominent. EG: coffee ice cream tasted like ice cream, and not vanilla with a hint of something.

This not soft serve ice cream. Why are you listed as such?

Wow! I have no idea! That may have been a Yelp thing. We've never served soft-serve. So sorry you were disappointed!

Is their ice cream certifiably kosher? I love coconut and crunchy flavors. How many flavors with coconut do you have?

Calling the selection good would be an understatement. Flavors and styles lined the walls, and they have even introduced seasonal spring drinks alongside their custards and Italian ice. I ordered a gelati, which came with two flavors and the option to add a warm brownie in the center. They also offer prepackaged pints to take home. The only item that could not be sampled was the not fried chicken, their iconic Shark Tank inspired creation shaped like a chicken leg, where the novelty lies more in the form than the flavor. Some flavors had intriguing names like Tiger Blood and Midnight Fantasy, and the staff were more than happy to explain each one in detail. *Midnight Fantasy: featured a chocolate base mixed with chunks of brookie. It leaned heavier with a slightly grainy texture from the cookie pieces, but the chocolate itself was not overly sweet. It worked best when paired with something lighter. The brookie itself was well balanced, with a fudgy brownie component and a cookie that had a snickerdoodle like quality. *Mango Italian Ice: had a clean, fruity flavor and a smooth texture. It was not overly icy and paired nicely with the custard on top. *Honey Milk: was my favorite of everything I tried. The honey flavor came through strongly, both in taste and aroma, while the milky richness added a smooth creaminess. It paired beautifully with the Italian ice and balanced the richness of the Midnight Fantasy. *Spring Break Soda: was an interesting take on a Sprite style drink, with kiwi syrup, blue raspberry syrup, grenadine, and cold foam. It definitely delivered a sugar rush. There was a tropical feel, but it may be best suited for those with a serious sweet tooth. There is likely something for everyone here, and the friendly service makes it easy to find your match. While I would probably skip the sodas, the Italian ice and custard stood out for their quality.
